It helps production managers to determine the exact level and cost of inventory required to meet demand. It also computes quantities needed as backup stock, distributes production time among various products, and plans for capacity requirements. - **Resource and asset management:** MRP systems provide information about the raw material availability and the expected yield. These solutions are designed to meet the requirements of specific functions.  - **Configure price quote (CPQ) functionality:** If your sales team consistently creates custom quotes for build-to-order operations, then it's worth looking for a solution with CPQ functionality.
