" April 5, 2023 5.0 Overall I love the ease it has given me in recording and editing voices for our commercials and audio blogs. It's a very easy to use tool and saves you a lot of editing time. Pros It is quite easy to use, I didn't have to watch any tutorial before using it for the first time. And it adjusts quite well to your needs. In my case it saves me a lot of recording and editing time so I can focus on other creative areas. But what I like the most without a doubt is that the voices offered by the software are quite realistic and friendly, you can't tell it's a computer. Cons My only suggestion would be to add more types of voices for other languages, especially in Spanish. Reason for choosing NaturalReader Commercial We chose Natural Reaser Commercial because of the voices generated by the software. We were looking for something more natural and friendly to the ear and we were definitely able to find it. Review Source JG James G. Cons In Belgium, we will not be able to use your program because we need the Flemish language. Flemish is actually Dutch but without the Dutch accent (check out the news on Belgian TV in Flemish, e.g. VTM news). Culturally speaking, the Flemish will never accept that their content or TV series be translated into Dutch with a Dutch accent. Review Source AH Anna H. I know that in the non-commercial version, there is an option that the words come out on the bottom of the screen as they are said. I really liked that feature, and I was disappointed that when I had purchased the commercial version that that feature was no longer available. It would be nice if it could be implemented again. I am also VERY pleased with the customer service. I had an issue a while back with how the way the files' name looked when it was downloaded I didn't like. I mentioned it to customer service, and it was fixed the next day (if not the same day). Very pleased! Pros I have been a long-time user of NR, so I have seen the many new updates they have included over the years. Each update makes the product better and better. They are able to keep up with their competitors in the market (as they continue to rise). I have tried trials of many other applications, software, and platforms, but I always come back to NR. I am a big fan of its simplicity. It does not feel overwhelming to learn. To be able to make a very comprehensive product, and make it look (and actually be simple) applying it in action, is an art. NR has been an integral aspect of my business, and I couldn't do without it. I am excited to see what new things they will be developing in the future. Cons In what I create for my business, I have to embed pauses in certain areas. There are several of the old voice (none of the new ones) where there is a strange high-pitched buzzing/static-y sound before the person speaks and after they speak. It is light, but it is still audible and it is very annoying. Because of this, it has made the voice unusable to me. I am hoping that is something that could get fixed in the future. For the embedding pauses section, having to manually enter the numbered pause is a little annoying. Maybe having a preset option would be nice. Review Source Andrea M. I had an issue with a project and unfortunately after days going back and forth with support, it could not be fixed. Pros This tool has helped us bring our content to those with visual impairment and others who would simply like to listen and not read our magazine articles. Cons The pronunciation editor is confusing and doesn't work right when mixing up languages, I use both English and Spanish and sometimes getting the right pronunciation is hard. Pros It is easy to use, it has a wide variety of voices in several languages and the way in which the paragraphs are separated is useful to make small pronunciation corrections and pauses.
