It removed a lot of friction between engineering and the people who own the copy, and it is pleasant to work with despite a few rough edges at scale. Pros Tolgee became the single source of truth for every UI string across our web and mobile apps. Translators and product people edit text in the browser, and engineers just pull the latest bundle through our localization API, so copy fixes no longer wait for a release. Keys are organized per project, the machine translation suggestions are a reasonable starting point for new languages, and the screenshots attached to keys give translators the context they usually lack. Cons Once a project has thousands of keys, searching, filtering and bulk renaming in the web app slow down. Detection of missing or unused keys is something we still do with our own CI scripts. Seat and key based pricing deserves attention as the number of apps and languages grows. It is fairly priced, highly capable and very reliable. I would use it again. Pros Great design. Love the ability to train the AI by providing overall app context, and specific key context. Cons It had occasional issues with improperly escaping placeholders.
