Straightforward and intuitive to use. Nothing extraneous. Support is open to suggestions for tweaks and improvements.

Pros

Reasonably priced, user friendly, and responsive support to improve user experience. I love that I don’t pay if I have less than 3 clients but I don’t lose access to data.

Cons

There is nothing I don’t like about SH. Its layout and options are clearly outlined. I’ve used other EHRs and this is the most user friendly.

Cons

Honestly, I have trouble finding anything that I dislike about Sessions Health. As a solo practice provider, I highly recommend it.

Pros

I like how user friendly it is, how easy it was to transfer old data, and the updates that are being made regularly. The reminders for clients are great. I also like that there is currently no AI feature - I do not want that option in my clinical practice.

Cons

I would like to have some way to see what my clients see when I set up their client portal, send reminders, etc. Like an administrator function. When I first set it up I just used a fake client account to test things out as I was getting used to the system.

My overall experience has been wonderful. I'm a solo practitioner and this is the only EMR I've used with my own practice. I've worked in group practices that have used their own customized programs and practices who use big name EMR's, but nothing has compared to Sessions.

Pros

Sessions is very user friendly and easy to navigate. If you have any questions or issues, the response from the team is within 24 hours and they have helped me many times beyond what I thought their scope of customer service was.

Cons

There are customization's I'd like to see for running reports, calendars, etc. Sessions has taken mine, and anyone else's, inquiries for changes into consideration.

Switching to Sessions Health from a different EHR has been the best decision I've made for my practice since starting it more than a decade ago. I spend so much less time on documentation, billing, and filing insurance claims than I have in the past!

Pros

Sessions has streamlined and automated the annoying administrative parts of my practice in ways I didn't even know were possible. I love the availability of auto-scored assessments and easy integration with a credit card processor. The daily digests alert me to tasks needing attention in an organized way, so that my workflow stays as smooth as possible.

Cons

I wish that Sessions had the capacity to project actual income instead of billed income. There can be large discrepancies between what I bill and what insurance contracts pay, and it would be helpful to have a more accurate picture of projected income.

### "Sessions Health: The most affordable EHR you will find"

Sessions Health is the EHR that I have come to rely on for the past 1.5 years for my business needs. The interface is easy to use and navigate. I appreciate the additions over the past 1.5 years that have helped make clinicians' lives easier. Sessions Health has always been up front about billing and helpful when navigating insurance issues.

Pros

I appreciated the affordability of the product. Customer service was beneficial and responsive to questions. The feedback provided by customer service was easy to understand and did not require further follow-up.

Cons

Using the insurance section was a bit confusing when trying to find the correct insurance plan from the listed options. Creating note templates was a bit cumbersome, but customer service tried to provide suggestions.

I am a private practitioner and have used lots of different EMR systems - BestNotes, TheraNest, Simple Practice, and PracticeQ. I think Sessions Health is the best value, as it includes most, if not all, of the features of the high end systems, but at a much lower cost. I also use the telehealth and billing features through Sessions Health, and they are so easy to use and great to have integrated into the same system.

Pros

I love the ease of use, intuitive nature of the system, great features, regular improvements, quick and friendly customer support, ease of billing (including a couple clicks to bill insurance companies), the telehealth option, and low cost.

Cons

There's not much I dislike; I haven't ever regretted choosing Sessions Health! I have recommended it to colleagues as well.

The price was the biggest factor. The other EMRs were much more expensive and didn't seem to offer a product that was worth the added cost since Sessions Health was able to compete with similar features at a lower cost.

I have used all of those EMRs at previous places of employment. My most recent one was PracticeQ, and I wanted to keep that when I started my own practice, but the cost was prohibitive. Through research, I found Sessions Health and have been very impressed!

I have tried several other platforms and there have been limitations with each. Sessions Health has been the clear winner for my needs. Support has been great and the features are very user friendly. Again-I don't bill insurance so I can't speak to that feature, but it works very well for my self pay clients.

Pros

I find Sessions Health to be very user friendly and versatile. Support has always been helpful in a timely manner. I appreciate the ease at which clients can use the platform, secure messaging and document upload, templates which can be easily modified, billing, and the telehealth platform. I am also able to share the telehealth link with clients in a pinch when any other platform is not working properly. I do not use insurance billing at this time so I am unable to speak on those capabilities.

Cons

I use the telehealth option for groups but unfortunately there is a limit of 3 additional members and myself. I hope to see this limit expand in the future. I have no other cons.

Pros

Very personable. They care about you and have a small business feel while being reliable and consistent experience across their software.

It's a bit pricey for their new A.I. assistance services as they charge about $40 per month per clinician.

I have been with sessions for about two or almost three years now and I’ve had a very positive experience with them.

Pros

I really like how I can customize my clinical documents. They do have templates that you can use and adjust as needed. I also enjoy how fast customer service is with any of my questions.

Cons

Some of the scales, such as the DES II, require the client or therapist to score it.

Very positive! I will be staying with them the duration of my career.

Pros

I like Sessions Health because of the ease and how user friendly it is to work with! It saves me time because I don't have to hunt for categories or tabs, I can go right to them. The newer options that have come out have also been time saving for me and the price is affordable! Keep up the good work!

Cons

Sometimes my calls would be dropped when I was seeing a client, but recently it seems that happens alot less.

It’s been really solid and is a system I actively recommend to colleagues when they’re soliciting feedback.

Pros

The functionality of it, the color scheme isn’t distracting or obnoxious, and their customer support team is quick to respond with clear answers. I also really love being able to make custom progress note templates.

Cons

As a solo practitioner it’s worked exactly how I need it to. A few more tutorial videos explaining insurance billing or highlighting features that would be extra helpful for someone new to having their private practice would be cool too.

My overall experience has been very positive. I migrated from another platform when many other people were doing the same. They handled the sudden influx very well with customer support and keeping us updated on changes they were making to the system to handle the sudden influx.

Pros

I love the Customer Service! I appreciated how quickly they respond to come up with solutions and how open they are to suggestions from their customers.

Cons

I would like to add some of the business reports that are available, tracking additional data.

Overall, my experience with Sessions Health has been positive. It’s simple to use, and I find the scheduling and billing features very helpful. I think a few more integrations would make it even better, but it’s a great tool for professionals.

Pros

I like how easy it is to use, especially for scheduling appointments. The billing feature is also helpful for keeping track of payments.

Cons

It would be great if it had more integrations with other platforms. That way, it would be easier to use alongside other tools.

I opened my private practice in Oct 2023 and have used SH since then (it's currently Dec 2024). I've recommended SH to peers opening their practices and I will continue to do so for several reasons - it's easy interface, it's reliability, and support is 10/10.

Pros

I love that sessions health is user friendly and allows for my clients to have a seamless experience. I appreciate that anytime I reach out to support, they respond quickly and always resolve my issue! It is also super affordable compared to other EHRs.

Cons

Nothing! Truly - it is intuitive and I have recieved feedback from clients that it is easy to use.
