The interface is easy to use and navigate. I appreciate the additions over the past 1.5 years that have helped make clinicians' lives easier. Sessions Health has always been up front about billing and helpful when navigating insurance issues. Pros I appreciated the affordability of the product. Customer service was beneficial and responsive to questions. The feedback provided by customer service was easy to understand and did not require further follow-up. Cons Using the insurance section was a bit confusing when trying to find the correct insurance plan from the listed options. Creating note templates was a bit cumbersome, but customer service tried to provide suggestions. Cons I wish there was a better way to integrate Availty or other insurance sites to check insurance coverage. I'd love to be able to do all of my benefits checking through one site. Detailed instructions, prompt responses to requests for assistance and help customizing forms and billing issues were all vital to making this work. Pros Their customer service is like no other company I have worked with and particularly an EMR. Above all else, a quick response, considerate questions and thoroughness are most important to me. I also wanted to have the auto scoring assessments like I did previously in my EMR and they just started adding those which makes life much easier. Cons I would like the interface to have a bit more variability in fonts and bold typeface to help some things stand out better in note templates and the client charts. Pros The personalized customer service is what makes sessions health stand out for other electronic health records. They are always available and one of the best things is they always love hearing from us as clinicians as to how they can enhance their EHR. I've personally recommended a couple of ideas and they've implemented them which has made my job so much easier. Cons Nothing. They are the best EHR! Having the ability to send out reminders and customize them to best meet, our clients needs is really helpful. Also being able to upload files and other documents to the individual. I can tell from how the EHR is structured to the responses of the support staff. Pros I just started using Sessions Health for my new therapy practice and it has overall been a great experience so far. The layout and setup is intuitive and easy to use. The support team has been amazing and responds within hours, if not minutes, when I have had numerous questions and requests. Cons I have had a few technical kinks to work out for clients accessing their portals. The billing tasks, i.e. uploading insurance and payment cards, on the client portal is not so intuitive and clients often miss it initially. The family/conjoint client setup has been challenging and not intuitive for me or clients. I also wish there were more options in the documentation library. September 19, 2024 5.0 Overall I have been very pleased with Sessions Health and feel confident recommending it to other providers. Pros Sessions offered free EHR for up to 3 clients. I appreciated this financially risk free way of integrating EHR into my practice. During the several months using Sessions, they have been incredibly responsive to the limited issues that have occurred and are always reaching out to providers to seek feedback on how to improve the platform. Then, they actually integrate these changes and do not charge us more for having them. The affordability and responsiveness of Sessions has been amazing. I know of many colleagues who have come over from other platforms after learning about Sessions, and they also have positive things to say about this experience. Cons The one thing I can think of that is the clunkiness of sending forms to clients. That would be a great area to improve or even redesign. I would also love to be able to attach forms to the session when scheduling an appointment, much like the session feedback form. This would be very helpful for periodic assessments like the PHQ/GAD and for sending clients updated disclosures and consents and ROIs. I didn't want to make a wrong choice only to have the inconvenience of switching later. I am so happy I went with Sessions Health! I have been able to provide my clients with a secure and user-friendly experience. I love that the company is committed to privacy and values the feedback from its users. In the meantime, there has been a huge influx of new users from another well-known platform who were sick of paying exorbitant fees and had legitimate concerns regarding the use of client data. It was a huge relief to me that I made the right decision the first go around and have recommended Sessions Health to other clinicians! Pros Great customer service, user-friendly platform, cost-efficiency, and a company that commits to respecting privacy.
