I don't recall any major (or even a minor) issue. Pros The free version is actually free. Prior year data available and imported. Cons I use the free version and they frequently push help when its not asked for. They offer you all these additional programs that will assist me with preparing my taxes and insured the highest refund, and audit assistant, but when you need to use any of those extra services that you pay for every year they are not available for you to use. Also if I can't use the services because of them not being available, they refuse to refund my money for the unused services. Pros The other products that Intuit offers. Because TurboTax has so many flaws and glitches that need to updated. Cons I disliked the document storage, the accuracy of the product, and the experts that can never answer the questions that I have or are never available to assist me with my returns. Cons The price of it seems higher than other products, and their support was available when needed, but it took several attempts to remedy a situation. It is as simple as can be and gets easier every year with new features like taking a picture of your w-2s and other forms. Also having previous years information available to get a quicker start each year is great. Cons I hate that they tend to be a little pushy with trying to get you to upgrade to higher services you dont need. Their interface is great and easy to use. Much easier than other software I have used. Taxes can be a headache, but Turbotax helps alleviate the stress. Pros Taxes can be difficult, but Turbotax makes them easy. It has a great interface and walks you through everything that needs to be done in a simple, easy to follow manner. Cons There isn't really a ton about Turbotax that was a problem. It works well for it's needs, but mine may be simpler than most, so I can't attest to some of the more complicated aspects of the software. It autofills all the admin data from previous year and stays up to date on tax law modifications. The interface is easy to read and inputting data is a breeze. Pros Turbotax is a very intuitive for almost all tax situations. I use the Premier version for federal and state, which provides excellent step by step guidance on investments beyond the deluxe version. Very thorough and solid customer support and help section. Cons If you order the DVD one year and the download the next, the accounts are different and won't share data.
