Cons sometimes when you want a GL report other stuff come with it that you did not ask for. You split pay AP's. With the price of the support; I think there should be at least one free training included in the price of support. Pros Customer service is the best. Beth and Julio know their stuff! Cons some of the link don't go where they should but the company is willing to correct the glitch in their updates. The newest support renewal invoice is $1,700-a little pricey. Accounting Manager Real Estate Used the software for: 2+ years ### "Constellation1 Accounting Is a Key Management Tool for Our Business" August 2, 2023 5.0 I've worked with this software (in many versions) for 14 years now, and have worked closely with the technical/customer support staff over the years to get help when we ran into problems. The program works well for our needs, and the support staff is knowledgeable and helpful when we need assistance. Pros I like that Constellation1 Accounting is a full-service accounting software, in which we can manage/process sales transactions to pay commissions, manage Accounts Receivables with our agents, manage Accounts Payable with our vendors, reconcile bank accounts and generate company financial reports for managers and owners. It's great having all of these functions within one program. Cons The current version of Constellation1 Accounting works well for our needs. There are occasional bugs/glitches to the program, but software updates seem to be made fairly regularly. It would be great if there were integration options with the paperless file service we use, Paperless Pipeline, to cut down on duplication of data entry work for our staff. The only negative is the turnaround time to get a response to a support ticket, especially if our request occurs in the mid/late afternoon since we're on the west coast. Reason for choosing Constellation1 Accounting We have used Constellation1 Accounting (in several previous versions before the current format) for 20 years. We did test out a competitor's product with one of our new start up brokerages several years ago, and while it was significantly less expensive, we found the product less efficient than Consteallation1 and eventually moved that brokerage over to Constellation1 as well. After using RealLedger for many years, I found the Constellation1 upgrade so much easier. Cons Commission statements are not easy to read. They should include the total commission going to Co$ on each closing not just beginning and ending totals. I would like to see a lot more guidance materials for troubleshooting as well as general instructions. Fortunately, the support team is the best! Easy to use for our business" August 16, 2023 5.0 I rely on this program daily for my payroll and commission processing every day! Easy to use :) Pros Makes day to day accounting processing easy and reliable.I am also able to reach help if there is a problem. Customer support is excellent except for the fact that they are short on employees to handle the load especially in busy times like year end. Pros I love the integration between being able to process commissions, bill our agents and create financial statements all in one software. Cons I believe the product to be very expensive and over the years some features have been removed only to be charged additional fees to add them back. Reason for choosing Constellation1 Accounting Windermere has been using this product since the 90's. It has been sold to multiple companies over the years and has evolved greatly. Cons Trying to get the right information for our financial meetings. Sometimes I search and cannot find the data -- although I am almost certain it is there! Reason for choosing Constellation1 Accounting In retrospect it is the people that Constellation has to help us through issues that makes all the difference. Thanks so much for working with us to get Constellation exactly where we need it :) Pros Once I get moving on entries, I can fly through my reports pretty fast. Nothing takes too long to run. Cons Without knowing how to implement either of these features:A SCALABLE UI would be fantastic - I have to re-size the screen juuuuuust right to fit a PDF alongside. Without having a 30" monitor, scrolling back and forth in the program window is a massive pain. Also, there are no hot keys to my knowledge. Everything requires a click to enter a window, select, confirm the selection, click OK to remove the pop-up window. Review Source MH Monica H.
