Hyperglance

## What is Hyperglance?

Hyperglance helps cloud teams manage cost, ownership, architecture, and risk across AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, Kubernetes, AWS GovCloud, and Azure Government. It gives FinOps, platform, cloud operations, and security teams a clearer way to understand complex cloud estates. Teams can see what resources exist, how they connect, who owns them, what they cost, and where attention is needed. Hyperglance supports cloud cost management, resource inventory, architecture visualization, tagging, governance checks, cost allocation, and waste reduction. It helps teams find unused, underused, untagged, and misconfigured resources, then review the context before deciding what to change. The platform is self-hosted, giving organizations more control over deployment, data handling, and access. This makes it a strong fit for mid-market, enterprise, public sector, regulated, and MSP environments where cloud estates are large, distributed, and hard to manage through disconnected tools.

Pros

Its real-time visualization of complex cloud architecture through interactive diagrams, which makes infrastructure much easier to understand, plus strong cost optimization insights that help identify and terminate unused resources to cut cloud spend. Users also highlight the intuitive interface and how it consolidates monitoring and troubleshooting into one centralized view instead of switching between multiple tools

Cons

The most consistent complaint is a steep learning curve — many users note the platform feels complex, especially during initial setup and onboarding for new users. Some also find the interface cluttered, with so much on screen that it's hard to quickly locate what they need. Initial setup and configuration can take time, especially in larger environments, and more customization options for reporting and alerts would strengthen the platform.

We had trouble seeing everything clearly and managing cloud costs across different accounts. Hyperglance removes these blind spots by bringing together inventory, compliance alerts, and spending data in real time. This makes it easier for security and finance teams to work together, reducing the time needed for security audits while keeping cloud spending under control

Pros

Hyperglance stands out with its automated architecture diagramming and proactive security compliance rules. Moving through multi-cloud environments is smooth because of its clear user interface, which quickly points out misconfigurations. The option to start automated fixes through Webhooks and ServiceNow right from the main screen greatly reduces response times. Along with straightforward cost optimization tips, the platform offers a good return on investment and makes daily cloud management much easier for tech teams.

Cons

Setting up initial rules and creating custom policies can be a bit tough for those without technical expertise. Some less common third-party integrations also need manual API setup during the onboarding process. Finally, visual topology maps can get too busy when looking at large-scale Kubernetes setups without using filters first

Came in skeptical, left fairly impressed. It does take time to get the hang of but once things clicked it made cloud management feel a lot less scattered. Would probably stick with it if the pricing worked out for our size.

Pros

Honestly the visual maps alone made the trial worth it. You can actually see how your cloud resources connect to each other instead of piecing it together yourself. Setup wasn't as painful as I expected — connected without much hassle. The automatic security checks were a nice surprise, flagged something I hadn't noticed on my own.

Cons

First few days were genuinely confusing. There's a lot going on and it's not obvious where things are until you've clicked around enough. Also not cheap — fine for bigger teams probably but a bit much if you're smaller. Took longer than expected to feel comfortable with it.

Overall its been a really reliable tool for managing our infrastructure. We were struggling to keep track of everything across different platforms, and Hyperglance brought our cost tracking, security checks, and architecture diagrams into one central dashboard. It takes a little time to master, but once you get the hang of it, it saves hours of manual checking.

Pros

I love how it takes our complex, multi-cloud environment and turns it into a clear, interactive visual map. Being able to actually see how our resources connect, rather than just scrolling through endless lists in native consoles, makes troubleshooting so much faster. It also helped us identify a bunch of untagged and underused resources, which saved us a solid chunk of money on our monthly cloud bill.

Cons

The initial setup can be pretty complicated, especially since it is self-hosted. The platform has so many features and data points that the interface feels a bit overwhelming at first, so there is definitely a learning curve for new team members before they can comfortably run their own custom automations.

Overall, my experience with Hyperglance has been positive. It provides excellent visibility into cloud infrastructure through an intuitive interface, making monitoring, troubleshooting, and resource management more efficient. The platform is reliable, easy to navigate, and helps simplify the management of complex cloud environments.

Pros

What I liked most about Hyperglance is its intuitive infrastructure visualization and centralized dashboard. It provides a clear view of cloud resources and their relationships, making it easier to monitor the environment, troubleshoot issues quickly, and manage cloud infrastructure efficiently.

Cons

There were no major drawbacks, but the initial learning curve can be a bit steep because of the wide range of features. More onboarding tutorials and detailed documentation would make it easier for new users to get started.

To describe my overall experience with Hyperglance, it provides very clear visibility to cloud infrastructure and it helps to identify security misconfigurations which may lead to some outages or attacks. The only challenge is initial configurations takes time

Pros

I like most about Hyperglance is its visualization capability of complex cloud infrastructure. In large enterprise like my client company, we use Hyperglance to maintain cloud assets in an inventory based model for management purpose.

Cons

The major limitation of Hyperglance is its configuration needs to be very proper, otherwise we cannot wait for the expected result. The initial setup takes much time.

So we've been using Hyperglance for maybe 4-5 months now and i figured it out. and also the best thing about hyperglance is their visual representation components. Honestly the topology maps are worth it alone. First time i pulled up our full infra as an interactive diagram i kind of just sat there for a minute because it was the first time everything actually made sense visually. You can see what connects to what, where the costs are sitting, which resources are just floating there doing nothing. We found orphaned resources in the first week that we'd completely forgotten about. Nothing crazy but still that's money we were just burning.

Pros

The topology maps. Being able to see our entire infrastructure laid out visuallywhat's connected, what's costing us, what's just sitting there doing nothing is something i didn't know i needed until i had it. We spotted forgotten resources within the first week. Also massively helps with onboarding, i just walk new people through the diagram instead of doing a 2 hour architecture explanation every time.

Cons

The biggest and the most bugging con of hyperglance is the setup, it was a proper headache getting IAM permissions right across all our accounts took way longer than it should have. The UI gets overwhelming fast in larger environments, some of my team just defaulted back to native consoles out of habit for weeks. Performance drags a bit when you're filtering through a lot of resources. Pricing is hard to justify upfront before you have results to show leadership. Onboarding docs are decent but assume too much prior knowledge for newer users.

Hyperglance makes it easier to deal with the complexity associated with cloud and IT infrastructure management. This tool offers improved visualization of connection and dependencies, making it easy to monitor and plan changes as well as resolve problems.

Pros

It's most prominent benefit is visualization feature. Without having to go through different dashboard and reports, I can immediately get an overview of the whole environment and find all the dependencies

Cons

The intial configuration can be time-consuming, particularly for more complex installations. New users may require some training to understand how to operate the system fully. There are few more advanced customisation that could be enhanced as well.

Overall, my experience with Hyperglance has been positive. It has helped improve our understanding of cloud usage and control costs more effectively. The platform makes it easier to track spending patterns and identify inefficiencies, which has led to better decision-making and improved operational efficiency. While onboarding took some time, the long-term benefits outweigh the initial effort.

Pros

Hyperglance provides excellent visibility into cloud infrastructure and spending. The dashboards are clear and visually intuitive, making it easy to identify cost drivers, unused resources, and optimization opportunities. It integrates well with cloud platforms and helps teams collaborate by sharing insights across stakeholders. Customer support has been responsive, and once set up, the platform delivers consistent value.

Cons

There is a bit of a learning curve initially, especially for users who are not deeply familiar with cloud environments. Some advanced features and reports could use better documentation or in-app guidance. Occasionally, customization options for dashboards and reports feel somewhat limited.

My experience is very good with Hyperglance, we can visualize cloud environments with less efforts spent and makes convenient to understand complex environments without performing any manual analysis.

Pros

Well undoubtedly its intuitive cloud visualization and its UI is so much user friendly and easy to operate. In addition, it gives visibility to cloud environment which shows inventory and cost all at one place, so checking multiple pages workload gets reduced.

Cons

At first glance it looks a little complex to use specifically for non-technical users but with training it gets easy and better to use. Also, it has limited customization options which makes it less flexible. For handling large data its performance may get affected.

It solves the problem of invisible digital infrastructure. As we scale up on site and add more digital tools for our contractors and engineering teams, our cloud environment gets complicated fast. Hyperglance eliminates the guesswork by showing us exactly what is running, how it connects, and where our data is sitting in real time. It ensures the digital side of our project is just as well documented and structurally sound as the physical infrastructure we are building, saving us from unexpected cloud hosting costs down the line.

Pros

Hyperglance has been fantastic for automatically mapping out our cloud architecture. Instead of relying on the IT department's outdated spreadsheets of server instances and IP addresses, I get a dynamic, interactive diagram of our entire cloud footprint. It makes it incredibly easy to see exactly how our environments are connected and helps us spot unused cloud resources that are needlessly draining our overall project CapEx budget.

Cons

Because my daily focus is on civil execution and site management rather than pure IT, the sheer volume of data Hyperglance pulls into its diagrams can be overwhelming. The interface is incredibly dense and clearly built for hardcore DevOps engineers. It would be a massive improvement if they added a feature to create simplified dashboard views.

My overall experience with Hyperglance has been very positive because it brings clarity to areas of cloud management that normally feel scattered and difficult to track. The platform gives a centralized view of infrastructure, costs, and governance, which makes managing complex cloud environments much more efficient.

Pros

I liked most about Hyperglance is how it combines visualization, cost management, and cloud governance into a single experience instead of forcing teams to jump between multiple tools. The visual mapping of infrastructure makes it much easier to understand relationships between services, identify unused resources, and troubleshoot issues faster.

Cons

I liked least about Hyperglance is that some of the advanced customization and reporting features can take time to fully understand, especially for teams that are new to cloud governance platforms. While the platform is powerful, the depth of options may initially feel more suited to experienced cloud professionals than casual users.

Overall, my experience with Hyperglance has been positive. The platform has helped improve infrastructure monitoring, resource management, and operational efficiency. It is especially useful for teams managing cloud environments who need better visibility and easier tracking of resources and system health.

Pros

What I liked most about Hyperglance is the clear visibility it provides into cloud infrastructure and resources. The visual dashboards make it easier to understand complex environments, monitor resource usage, and identify potential issues quickly. It helps save time by centralizing monitoring and improving operational visibility.

Cons

One thing I liked least is that the platform can feel slightly overwhelming initially because of the amount of information and options available. Performance can also slow down a bit when working with very large cloud environments or detailed infrastructure views.
