ADP was very inflexible and difficult to make changes for payroll processing. ADP fees were really high. AllianceHCM is very easy to work with and the fees are significantly lower.

### "Alliance saved us from ADP!"

We have had a wonderful experience with Alliance. The transition from ADP was easy because of their knowledgeable implementation team.

Pros

Everything in the system is easy to use and understand. We have received the best support from our Customer Service representatives. They are knowledgeable, and quick to help with any questions or issues that we may have.

Cons

I wish Alliance had a more robust user guide in the system. Some items are covered in the help section, some are not. I think a better guide with more detail could help cut down on customer support calls/emails.

I've been with them for years. Some days with Alliance is great, some days are just awful.

Pros

Easy to maneuver through and can teach yourself alot of the processes and reports.

Cons

Customer service is not that good. Follow up from Alliance is not good either. Errors on benefits setups and mapping happen quite often.

Good! Paychex booted us off all their electronic banking & direct deposit services with only a 30 day notice, and Alliance did a great job of meeting that turnaround time need and getting us payroll-functional by the time of our first live run. They've also done a good job getting our insurance & 401(k) setup working. I appreciate that the platform is modular so that we're not bundled into paying for a bunch of features we don't want for the sake of a few features we need.

Pros

The onboarding process, while difficult, was attended by a revolving door of staff (in the best way) who were able to adequately handle the division of labor and respond timely to technical errors. The ongoing support is also very high in quality, and there are live chat, phone call, and customer care team options to help with all the little things that arise (of which there are many, because this platform is very crunchy and has a massive feature suite).

Cons

The GL process has been pretty bad so far. We have a fairly simple chart of accounts, only a handful of cash accounts, and we use QBO for our accounting software. The lack of an easy-to-use API plugin (which is what we had with Paychex) is kind of baffling, and I was surprised to find that we as the end-user were tasked with interfacing with the QBO developer portal and assembling a compatible app for the GL import function (e.g. posting payroll journal entries). It's not the hardest thing in the world, but this request was sprung on us toward the end of implementation & this would be incredibly overwhelming for the technologically disinclined.

Before - frustration and concern. Now - love !

The program is so easy to use, quite intuitive. we had little if not training. just called when we needed help

Cons

the initial setup for us was difficult, the communication was lacking, we did not have the expertise to do this transition and relied on Alliance to guide us and ask the right questions. it was a lot of hit and miss. in the end our system is working properly, but the frustration was there and the feeling that we made a mistake was overwhelming

This is a product I use daily. I have used other products for payroll and the ease of use of Alliance HCM is a huge reason I am still using the product. The team communicates well when new features are coming out or changes are being made.The customer service is also top-notch.

Cons

I would say the ACA component is what I like the least. I find it confusing each year and it is difficult to get clarification on issues that come up.

Alliance is a phone call away as their customer service team is excellent through their continual assistance with report writing, product updates, enhancements I have been able to more all our companies to a more tech savy approach. When I first started with Alliance we were processing daily tasks manually. Alliance has helped me to move documents, driver's license, auto insurance, etc to more automation. This approach has saved us as an employer alot of valuable time that we can then concentrate and focus on other area.

Pros

The employee mypay portal is the section that I love the most. This portal allow me to sent TO-DO Items (driver's license renewal, auto insurance renewal) Updated Employee handbook acknowledgement. The system will send the reminder to the teram member and then record the document, download and save the pdf document. The team member can also send questions to our HR team. Gives us as an employer of an open door policy and the team members concerns and issues are addressed immediately. It is a great way to open communication to all of our team members regardless of the miles, cities or states we or they are located in.

Cons

We have mutiple companies and employee's are transferred in/out of companies alot. Our PTO plan is designed to pay PTO to certain job positions who average 30 hours or more (max of 40) per anniversary year.Consider the way we designed our PTO makes it a little more challenging when it comes to their anniversary year and pulling in all the hours worked across companies to then upload no less than 30 and no more that 40. Alliance has created reports to help facilitate the easiest way possible for us.

What we like the most about Alliance is the ease of using the software to process bi-weekly payroll. Being able to have our PTO and Sick Time balances and accruals is very important to our company. We also like that Alliance files all of our taxes on our behalf with the exception of one state tax.

Cons

Our initial set up with Alliance was easy and streamlined. Customer Service is sometimes hard to receive a prompt answer from.

### "Great product for the price"

Pros

The biggest pro with AllianceHCM is the availability to access the different categories of the HR software package without much jumping around to different portals and when you go to a category like HR or Employee, you have the tabs of the other menu options under that category to have easier access instead of going back to the drop down menu.

Cons

Only major con I can see is a better integration between Swipeclock and Alliance when it comes to time off categories and the coding there so that they line up properly and when someone goes to submit time off in Alliance, it can translate to swipeclock without doubling the work.

Fabulous customer service by well-trained Alliance staff and a straightforward online payroll system.

Pros

The payroll system and onboarding is easy to use. The customer service department is great, if I have a quetsion about something new there is always someone available to help me and the follow-up is excellent.

Cons

Part of me wishes Alliance could do everything for me, like employee benefits. But they are so good at what they currently do, perhaps they know it is better to specialize in what they do best.

While shopping around, I felt like Alliance would take care of our needs and services. Also, we are a small business. At the end of the day, the owner wanted to support another small business with a workforce that was also in the Houston area. We also really do like our relationship with our insurance brokers office, so we did not need some of the extra services offered by ADP.

As a Taco Bell franchisee, integration with our BOH system (SmartLynx) reduces store managers' administrative work. While the ATS had many great features, it lacks many features offered by other vendors (text|chat to apply, automated interview scheduling, customizable career site).

Overall it has been ok. I wouldn't not say that it is exceptional customer service but all issues at this time have been resolved to my knowledge.

Pros

I especially like the ease of use of the program as a whole, although we do not use all of the functionalities available. The application and onboarding process is somewhat simple once you learn how to utilize it properly. I also like the HR area for maintaining documentation. Payroll functionality is relatively easy to learn and use as well.

Cons

The customer service is not always as speedy as one would expect. There are times when I present an issue and it takes a week for someone to contact me and in some instances I have not been contacted until reaching out multiple times. I also did not feel the initial setup and training in many areas was as in depth as it should have been. I personally had to figure out how to set up areas on my own or reach out multiple times to get it done. We also had some issues with the ATS setup process and getting our jobs to feed to indeed. All softwares will have glitches and problems and I think we have finally fixed the bugs but it was definitely a headache. Most customer service people specialize in one area only which also causes problems. I did have people giving me training that didn't even know how to work certain areas which was also frustrating.

Overall I am very satisfied with Alliance. I like that our employees can view their paystubs from an APP. I also like that it works well with SwipeClock.

Pros

Alliance has a lot of really useful features, and it can be used to track a lot of employee information and records. The customer service is incredible. If I ever need assistance or have an issue, it is usually resolved that day, but if not it is the next day. The person assigned to my ticket always follows up to make sure I am satisfied as well.

Cons

The only thing I don't like about Alliance is the reporting feature. Sometimes it can be difficult to write the type of report I need myself, but if I reach out to the helpdesk, they write the report and have it available for me in an incredibly timely manner.

Fast support with clear direction when needed.

Cons

We have had no major issues to speak of except on the initial setup we were not advised clearly on what date to use for the start date when opening all of the Unemployment tax accounts and that created problems that are haunting me to this day.

### "Can't function without it"

It is awesome, awesome, awesome.

Pros

The payroll and employee profile function is by far the greatest part of Alliance. On top of that the customer service and knowledge of the staff there really help whenever I have an issue or not sure of what to do. Another great function is that they submit all the documents to TWC for us.

Cons

I can't think of anything that I don't like about AllianceHCM. Maybe I guess the help function could have FAQ's or directory of where to find a specific tab in case we forget could be helpful.

Overall, we have had a good experience with Alliance and it has fit our payroll needs and employee files.

Pros

I like that Alliance is very user friendly. It is easy to use once you learn it and it is very easy to get reports created to compute the data that you need.

Cons

Issue with customer service- if there is an issue that cannot be solved in the same day, there is sometimes where follow up falls through the cracks and we have to reach out to find the status of a issue that was called about.

When comparing to Kronos, Alliance is an exceptionally better product.

Pros

I love the simple steps of processing payroll. The different categories/modules helps simplify and organize my company's needs.

Cons

The New Design is a little "busy" on the eyes. I cannot seem to find things as easily as I do with the classical design.

Once moving from the initial training issues, it has been a very friendly system and I would recommend to anyone.

Pros

We use the payroll system and the new hire features and are very happy with it.

Cons

The only issue I see with it overall is the initial setup training. If we had been given the correct information to begin with, it would have been a much easier transition.
