For something that costs nothing to get started, the value for money is unmatched. I originally picked it up just to record rough song ideas, but the depth of the audio editing and multi-track recording tools quickly made it my go-to mobile studio. It’s simple enough for an absolute beginner to navigate, yet powerful enough that I’ve used it to record clean vocal tracks, cut quick podcast episodes, and even edit promotional clips using the Video Mix feature. Pros The fact that it’s completely free but doesn't feel like a "free" app. Being able to open my phone, lay down a vocal track, mix it with solid effects, and have it sound genuinely radio-ready without spending a dime is wild. The interface is clean, the latency is barely there, and the community aspect makes it feel like a social network for musicians. Cons The track limits can be a bit tight if you like to build massive projects. You get a maximum of 15 minutes per song, and if you’re trying to stack a ton of complex vocal layers, harmonies, and instruments, you might hit the track layer ceiling pretty quickly. Pros I really love the multitude of audio voices that can be added to our audio tracks. You can truly go from unprocessed voices to much more professional ones. Cons What I like least is the lack of synchronization, or at least the fact that it is difficult when sharing the project or when working on a mobile device and a computer, for example. I keep getting suspended for what they call 'Spam' When all I'm doing is trying to build strong foundational relationships to build a base and a following. As a playing customer it's absolutely ridiculous how I'm not even able to use the app fully due to yet another suspension. I had thought the app was intended to build these relationships however it seems that Bandlab wants to limit your interactions with other users. They say it's the software that recognizes patterns or behaviors and then automatically gives the suspension. WELL THE APP IS OBVIOUSLY BROKEN. Cause as a paying customer I just feel like ive been duped outta my money. They're based out of Singapore and it seems there is zero customer support for myself here on the west coast of North America. Typically its a wait of 24 hoirs or more if I even receive a response to my emails. There is no live support online or telephone wise. As a loyal customer who has always been nothing but a positive member of the community who even promotes the app, im absolutely frustrated beyaond. I literally want to pull my hair out with the lack of customer support. The app has brought me serious anxiety as well not being able to work with other members who i have collabs with due to being restricted to no communication with them. I could go on with some other issues but i feel this is long winded enough.
