The edit functionality is great, and I think the AI features are actually helpful and not just an afterthought. Especially when wanting to start a podcast, do interviews, or make Youtube videos, I think the ability to quickly spin something up is most impressive. For the price point, I think you're getting great value for your money. Cons There's a bit of a learning curve when it comes to adding music. It took me my tenth video before I learned how to add multiple tracks to the video. Now that I know, it makes sense, but the distinction between "upload" and "audio" for music wasn't straightforward. Would also like to see the UI not immediately start creating all these AI-generated clips upon completion of a video. Users will most likely want to edit the main video first -- saving bandwidth for that could be useful. I just wish the platform were more friendly. Pros The ability to record audio and video and then transfer audio and video to edit. Also, to have the highlight video quality compared to other platforms. Great for creating podcasts. Cons The platform is not friendly to users who have never used virtual conferencing before. Also had problems accessing past recordings on Mac. Switched from [Streamyard](https://www.capterra.com/p/213044/StreamYard/) Streamyard was too expensive after using it for a long time. Podcast host and journalist Media Production ### "Preserving history with Riverside" 5.0 Overall Rating 5.0 5.0 Ease of Use 5.0 5.0 Features 5.0 5.0 Customer Service 5.0 5.0 Likelihood to Recommend 10/10 June 2, 2026 I’ve been able to create two separate podcasts and do a variety of personal projects through Riverside that have helped secure moments in history that will hopefully last for generations. I am a huge proponent of the platform. Pros Riverside helps me create a quality podcasting product with minimal complication. If I do run into issues, Riverside always has a fix to let me salvage a recording, whether it be finding a backup file, or saving poor audio quality with sound improvement technology. Cons There is a learning curve to figuring out how to manage difficulties with recordings, but from my understanding, other platforms are far more difficult to manage.
