### "HIGHLY Recomnend Riverside! All the Way!"

June 26, 2026

5.0

My overall experience is OUTSTANDING from every angle. I really enjoy the live stream, the host website, etc

Pros

I am impressed with all the great features that Riverside provides. I satisfied with the audio, etc.

Cons

I have zero complaints with any of the features or support provided by the super team. Impressed with great support it provides.

### "Great product, outstripping support and training though."

July 13, 2026

4.0

Overall very good until something goes wrong becuase the support is not up to the quality of the program itself. Too hard to reach, too long to respond...

Pros

I enjoy all the capabilities it provides. Being able to record, edit, and publish all right from here is fantastic.

Cons

With all the capabilities it has, there has to be some sort of additional training outside of just the youtube videos because they don't give the amound of detail needed to really become and expert in the product. Wholesale changes to the interface was also an unwelcome shock to the system.

### "Seeds and secrets: The Faith Files"

May 27, 2026

5.0

Overall, I really love Riverside. I would recommend it 10 out of 10. It's a great starting place and it's also a great place to continue. I'm using it for my podcast. We record we don't use it to stream and it's been great. The AI integration has been wonderful the way that you can just type in there and ask it to make an edit for you and it'll ask follow-up questions and then do the cut and then ask if that's okay and if you want any changes it's been great.

Pros

First of all, Riverside's learning curve was so manageable. I was starting from a place where I knew what I wanted to do and I had a vision and a passion but I didn't really have all of the technical know-how and even more so the time to get to know the system and I feel like Riverside from the start was very intuitive. It's very secure. I've never had any issues with login or any sort of security breaches. Any issues I've ever had with customer support as far as like billing, follow-up or changing cards or updating card info. It's all been really easy. My ability to create the projects that I envision have absolutely been possible because of Riverside. Me and my team are able to communicate in a way that's so effective. I shared a link with my co-host when we first got the Riverside studio set up and he's been able to just repeat, get right in the studio every time there's never any fuss. We don't ever have sound issues with the premium version which is so worth it. You get all the different magic studio features that are just insurmountable and I'm even waiting for my show to grow in a way to where we can utilize the feature where someone is just in there and is actually just playing the producer role controlling the camera, switching the media doing that sort of thing. So overall 10 out of 10 great products would recommend absolutely.

Cons

There were some limitations about Riverside that I didn't like. For example, a lot of the really fancy green screen effects and floating banners and things like that aren't really big, but I also realized that wasn't really going to add value the way I thought it would to a product if it didn't already have value.

### "I love Riverside."

May 25, 2026

3.0

Overall, I love Riverside and the ability to pre-record my material and do the post-production in one spot.

Pros

I like that I can edit via the transcript. This helps with correcting audio and makes it a more seamless process.

Cons

I don't like the fact that the connection or server has delays at time and it takes more time to edit.

### "Features that give podcasters time back in their post-production processes"

April 30, 2026

5.0

I've tried at least a half dozen recording and production platforms over the past decade I've been podcasting, and Riverside is the platform I finally landed on. I made the switch from Streamyard, and honestly, the combination of superior features and a better price point made it a pretty easy decision. The interface is clean, organized, and intuitive, a quality many competitors don't manage to pull off. Everything is where you expect it to be, and the overall UX just feels like it was designed by people who podcast. The Pro version feature set is robust without feeling overwhelming, and the brand kit has been a genuine standout for me. As someone who runs multiple shows, brand consistency matters enormously, and having that kit built right into the platform means every episode looks and feels cohesive without extra effort on my end. It's one of those features that saves time. Speaking of time, our team has cut post-production by about 15% since switching to Riverside, and that number still impresses me. My team can handle roughly 50% of my post-production work right inside the platform, which means fewer tools, fewer exports, and fewer headaches. The transcripts generate quickly, the video editing tools are straightforward and easy to use, and the dark interface is easy on the eyes during long editing sessions. One honest caveat worth mentioning: the brand kit can be a little tricky to find at first, and navigation has a slight learning curve in a few spots. Not a dealbreaker by any stretch. Overall, Riverside has genuinely changed how my team works. If you're wondering whether the switch is worth it, the answer is yes! Highly recommend Riverside to any serious podcaster or video creator!

Pros

Clean, organized, and intuitive UX interface Dark screen interface that's easy on the eyes during long sessions Fast transcript generation Easy video editing right inside the platform Brand kit that ensures consistent branding across every episode Robust Pro version feature set Ability to handle 80% of post-production without leaving the platform Better price point than Streamyard Reduced team post-production time by 15%

Cons

Hard to use the Brand kit, not intuitive enough. I would like the brand kit as a separate interface, as Canva uses it, so I can choose the brand kit I want.

Alternatives considered

[Descript](https://www.capterra.com/p/230702/Descript/)

Reason for choosing Riverside

Streamyard is expensive and they dropped making shorts (unless you pay more money), Descript UX just plain sucks (because it's so complicated), Zoom doesn't have good sound quality or features for podcasters, Squadcast is good, but the new owners I'm not fond of (knew the previous owners and they were amazing, but when they sold the company, the platform changed).

### "Focus on the conversation, not the studio."

June 26, 2026

5.0

Riverside allows me to focus on the conversation. Once I hit record, I let the conversation flow and rarely have to keep tabs on the app. Once the recording is over, it's easy to edit the show, create shorts, and upload to all my followings platforms.

Pros

I have been on the platform for over two years and I most enjoy how Riverside doesn't rest on their laurels. There is plenty of updates and new integrations that keep me finding easier ways to create content.

Cons

Gosh, this is a hard one. I don't think I have any bad experiences with the platform. Once in a while I will have a guest struggle with the new to them tech but thats usually not to hard to walk them through.

### "Video Creating, Editing, and Delivery best bang for the buck"

June 1, 2026

5.0

Riverside has really streamlined the entire process for me. As I am learning the new features, things just get better and better. For example, I can load my show notes into Riverside, and it can help me give my Episode a title, or a short YouTube description. It can be helpful in creating a thumbnail as well with AI. I think the biggest time saver is how it creates the shorts. The AI has become very good at doing this, and if you feel like it cut something off or started too late, you can easily go in and edit the short by following the transcript, making it easy to find the word or phrase you want to add to your clip. The biggest time saver in editing is how it can remove all of you dead air moments, of your Ummm's and Ahh's, almost seamlessly. Really, it is a no-brainer. For the price, you get high-quality video, most of your video-creating tasks and editing done for you, and when I had to use customer support, they were spot on and very helpful.

Pros

With Riverside, adding Guests, taping, editing, creating shorts, and much more are made super simple. This is all done at a reasonable cost compared to going to separate services.

Cons

There are some limitations with the editing. I find I do my initial edit in Riverside, which is really super easy, then I download it and use a more powerful PC based editor to complete the edits for a much more polished look. Its not that you cannot get a professional look from Riverside's editing, however, I had a format I was using PRIOR to coming to Riverside and wanted to maintain that, which I found I could not do with their editor.

I was paying for more than one product at the time to do what Riverside was offering at a much lower price than just 1 of those to do what both were doing together. Riverside was offering an intro price, so i jumped on it.

### "Everything in one place and sooo easy and convenient!"

May 20, 2026

5.0

I love how easy and convenient it is. It really was made for podcasters and it simply makes life easier and more fun.

Pros

I love that I have everything I need in once place for podcasting. When you first start it can be so overwhelming (you don’t know where to start), but this made it easy. I didn’t have to be techie to figure it out and it’s just so convenient. Even the editing—being able to do it through the transcript—was wowwww! So cool! And it’s easy to send to editor. You don’t have to download to then send and waste hours on that. You just send the link and voila! So easy! Oh, and did I mention having the option to invite people in is amazing? The other day I was invited to a podcast and we had to end up using my riverside because the host’s system wasn’t working. Riverside is really reliable.

Cons

The only thing I don’t like is that it doesn’t let me record on 4k. I got a really good computer camera but but it lowers the resolution. Maybe I haven’t been able to figure out the trick if it does work. My editor couldn’t figure it out either.

### "Riverside is a game-changer"

Riverside has been a game-changer for Keys to the Future. The recording quality is outstanding, the platform is incredibly easy to use, and the AI tools have dramatically streamlined my editing workflow. It lets me focus on what matters most—having meaningful conversations with inspiring STEM leaders.

Pros

Riverside is incredibly easy to use, and its AI-powered tools save me a tremendous amount of time by making editing and production much more efficient.

Cons

While the platform is excellent overall, I'd love to see even more customization and flexibility in some of the AI editing features to give creators greater control over the final product.

### "Excellent for podcasting and virtual coaching"

June 25, 2026

5.0

Excellent program, versatile and easy to use. It's very stable and not prone to losing the connection, even if my guest's connection is iffy.

Pros

It's a stable platform for podcasting. I even lost power for a few seconds and got the interview back up and running within a few minutes. I rarely have guests who can't connect. It's also a fantastic platform for webinars and coaching with good sound and video quality. It's easy to use. I don't need to ask for help very often, I can figure it out on my own.

Cons

It's not easy to use in my sound-damped home studio because I only have a display there. I'm considering adding a webcam.

### "Scaling my podcast to a legitimate business"

April 10, 2026

5.0

I would say our overall experience as a company is extremely positive. We have grown a ton, scaled our existing products, and offered new content.

Pros

Riverside offers the most professional, high quality virtual recording platform. From marketing/branding, incorporating an audience, having the tools to cut short form videos and share them directly to social media. Riverside is DIRECTLY tied to our growth as a podcast company, offering scalable solutions to be able to grow all of our shows.

Cons

The internet issues remain a hurdle when working with guests mostly. If not connected to strong wifi (which some people aren't) we see video become grainy, choppy, and sometimes we even lose the footage. This is very minimal, but it does present challenges from time to time.

Super solid, reliable, and easy to use. Far and away the best podcasting recording and editing solution available today.

Pros

Riverside is easy to use, priced right, and they continue to add great features. We tried a few other platforms before finding Riverside, and it has saved us so much time and frustration, we can't imagine using anything else.

Cons

Nothing really. We wish sending assets out (syndication) was a strength, but that would simply be a plus.

### "Riverview definitely speeds up your work flow, but please add ability to move videos in bulk!"

March 29, 2026

5.0

Overall i think it is a great product and I would subscribe again, I would also advise people to use the product.

Pros

It is fairly easy to use and it speeds up the work flow for my talking head videos tremendously. What used to take me 1 hour might take me 30 minutes now.

Cons

There is no bulk edits of files, for example, I would love to bulk move all of the videos from one project to another but I would have to do it one at a time - that is extremely time consuming. The mute is sometimes glitchy, if a word is muted and I want to un-mute - that doesn't always work.

April 3, 2026

5.0

It is a great product I will likely continue to use for my podcasting, editing, video creation, thumbnail creation as well as AI generated descriptions. The value for the money I paid each month made it very worth it!

Pros

I enjoyed the ease of use for the user and all the features readily available. The generation of thumbnails is the latest WOW!

Cons

Pros

### "This is the one. Don't second guess it"

May 18, 2026

5.0

I've been podcasting for a couple of years, and I've tried other tools. I landed here, and I stopped looking. It's not flashy, it's just dependable. And when you're building alone, and your show is a real part of what you're putting into the world, dependability is everything. I'm not switching. This is my platform.

Pros

The local recording changed everything for me. My guest's connection can go sideways, and my audio doesn't move. I do a weekly podcast and Friday Night Lives, and I need my sessions to hold. Riverside holds. The quality is there, the interface stays out of your way, and for somebody running everything solo, that's the difference.

Cons

The editor took me longer than it should have to figure out. Nobody really walks you through it. You learn it by doing it, which is fine, but it could be smoother. And the pricing tiers can feel like a stretch when you're building lean and every dollar has to earn its place.

### "Honestly, Riverside is the only reason I'm not stressed about video"

March 12, 2026

4.0

I have used Riverside for quite some time now. Overall things have been great. There were a few times where I recorded and it didn't save or upload, but that would probably be less than 5% of the time with my experience. This platform has helped me record and deliver a podcast consistently, create a course to help people, create marketing material and social media content. Riverside is perfect for the beginner and the seasoned veteran who knows that speed and convenience trumps all the glitz and glam features other platforms dangle in front of you. But don't let that last sentence make you think Riverside doesn't have awesome features. Every day I learn something new and can easily use it. Did I mention they have amazing customer support! A+++++ in my book!

Pros

I like the simplicity of everything. Scheduling, Recording and editing are very easy. Also LOVE the quality of voice enhancement! I have a room that can be noisy and this saves me from spending extra money on equipment.

Cons

With simplicity comes a lack of advanced features. Even minor adjustments, like editing the colors of just a single clip can be difficult. Things are getting better, but the editing isn't quite there to give Riverside the five stars yet.

### "A true disruptor in the media creation industry and still improving "

May 31, 2026

4.0

Positive. I was really grateful when I discovered Riverside. It's been a treat to see it evolve and see it grow into something groundbreaking that doesn't exist anywhere else in the long form content creation sphere. It's made it easier for me to achieve what I need for my goals as a podcaster.

Pros

It's mostly a one stop shop for me and my needs when editing my podcast episodes. I really appreciate that it allows me to achieve my goals for the podcast and to create content that I need for social media. I also have heard from guests that they feel very secure when using it and that it's very user friendly to log on. I don't think it's the cheapest platform, rightfully so, but I still think it's worth it. It's easy to create separate projects for each guest and I love all of the options I have when it comes to editing. I'm iffy on AI stuff but I do appreciate it in this sphere of influence because it simplifies my workflow.

Cons

I wish there were more membership options. I also wish there were more options than guest, producer, and host. I also think it should be an option for the producer to select if a guest is joining but does not want to be recorded. This is mainly since the producer labeling is confusing when a guest gets sent it. I also don't think Riverside catches the best audio quality due to variable internet. I filmed recently with a good microphone and it was hardwired directly into my computer and it still had warbly output. I was a little disappointed but not much I could do about that.

### "Artists Dream"

May 12, 2026

5.0

Great value for the price. Easy to use. Insanely helpful customer support. True content partnership with Magic Edits. Excellent output. 10/10

Pros

Riverside was the game changer I didn't know I needed! I accidentally fell into podcasting and was using Zoom, because it was a tool I knew about. Manual editing was tough, to say nothing of the creating the transcripts and clips for reels. I was so exhausted with the entire process, I almost quit.

Cons

Not to sound corny, but legit the only con is how EASY it is! I find myself creating and podcasting even more than I originally planned because it's just so easy to be an artist now.

### "Best way to start a podcast"

February 20, 2026

5.0

I love Riverside, and I'm so glad I was willing to pay a little bit to start with this platform rather than trying to go the free route.

Pros

As a novice, it was easy to get up and running quickly with Riverside. The chat support and tutorial videos were helpful in coming up the recording and editing learning curve at the beginning. I also love how they are always iterating and improving the product with new features. I eventually hired an editor and am happy that I could invite her to the platform - it makes collaboration on the episodes much easier.

Cons

It's technology, so it's not without its minor glitches here and there. That being said, none of my episodes have ever been fatally compromised because of tech glitches.

### "0 to Podcaster with Riverside"

March 5, 2026

5.0

Overall extremely positive. I strongly recommend the product to anyone who wants to get started with a podcast quickly.

Pros

I love the Magic Episodes. I'm not a professional podcaster and have never worked in media, but I was able to get started extremely quickly and I'm now closing in on episode 5. Being able to use AI to automagically edit my episodes was fantastic, as I'm not experienced in audio. The virtual studio also makes a natural space for interviewing my guests, and the transcriptions makes editing very easy. It's truly a ton of value for the money I spend on my Pro subscription.

Cons

The platform itself is a bit slow and buggy. I've noticed several issues with Hooks and Show Notes for example. It's still useful, but it can occasionally require some patience where the AI systems have left sharp edges.

### "The day I found Riverside was a day to remember"

April 20, 2026

5.0

Transformational.....it gives the time i need to do the work I need to do which is focusing on content and not removing ums from a waveform.

Pros

I like most everything but the removal of mundane editing and fast pass to a pro content with tools in one place that seem to work most all the time. The AI audio for leveling and eq are very solid, given that most of my work is interviewing non professional via computer..they may have a heil 40 pro and PL320 EV or they may have an amazon mike or nothing at all. The ai audio give me a level field of participants and the ability to export audio only for the audio platforms. Editing is a breeze.

Cons

I'm dependent on net traffic flow, ocassional crashes, remote user not have enough resources to run the software.....I'm not sure there is much you can do about that and folks like me just have to find work arounds. I've found advance planning with guests works well and I developed a youtube tutorial for guest on how to log on to Riverside into my studio.

### "5/5 Stars For Anyone Looking To Start A Podcast"

March 10, 2026

5.0

Overall, it has been great and has been an awesome learning experience. I love how much I have learned, while feeling like I am not getting fleeced on the monthly payment.

Pros

I like how it took me from someone with very little video experience to someone who can produce a weekly podcast with a media strategy behind it. Also loved the learning materials on YouTube. Definitely worth the $ for how much time it saves me!

Cons

Sometimes it can be a bit glitchy when editing long-form videos, in my experience. I also wish the duplicate feature worked a bit better for magic clips, it usually takes awhile for the duplicate to populate within the project of the original.

Broxten, going from "very little video experience" to looking professional is such a great arc — that's exactly the kind of growth we want to enable. We'll keep working on the long-form editing performance! – The Riverside Team

### "My podcast wouldn't exist without Riverside"

April 26, 2026

5.0

Overall Riverside is a powerful tool for high-quality remote recording and has helped me create a podcast I'm proud of. I don't think I would have been as successful without it!

Pros

Riverside’s biggest strength is its ability to record high-quality audio and video locally rather than relying solely on internet connection quality. This makes a noticeable difference, especially for interviews, because even if there’s lag during the session, the final recording is typically crisp and clear. I also appreciate the separate audio/video tracks for each participant, which gives a lot of flexibility in editing. The interface is fairly intuitive, and features like live transcription and automatic uploads are genuinely helpful for streamlining workflow.

Cons

That said, Riverside can feel a bit glitchy at times. I’ve experienced issues with guests having trouble joining sessions, browser compatibility hiccups, and occasional delays with uploads or processing. It also requires a relatively strong and stable internet connection during recording to avoid stress in the moment, even though the final files are local. For less tech-comfortable guests, there can be a bit of a learning curve.
