### "Great product, outstripping support and training though."

July 13, 2026

4.0

Overall very good until something goes wrong becuase the support is not up to the quality of the program itself. Too hard to reach, too long to respond...

Pros

I enjoy all the capabilities it provides. Being able to record, edit, and publish all right from here is fantastic.

Cons

With all the capabilities it has, there has to be some sort of additional training outside of just the youtube videos because they don't give the amound of detail needed to really become and expert in the product. Wholesale changes to the interface was also an unwelcome shock to the system.

### "Best podcasting app out there, super easy to use"

September 6, 2026

5.0

Overall it's super intuitive and easy to use, no learning curve. I highly recommend it. They have a Magic Clips feature which offers totally decent and automated clips from what you do, but you can also download the raw video/audio files and feed to Opus to get even more short clips for social. I love the download transcript feature too, because I feed that into Chat and ask for the 6 most important parts of the podcast and what timecode it's at, so now I can easily find 2-3 great clips to start my podcast with. Overall, it's a great value for all the tools you get.

Pros

Riverside is SO easy to use. It used to take me hours and hours to do a podcast manually (legit, 20-30 hours to edit audio and video). Now I can do it in about 30 minutes or less. Literally, the magic audio feature will shave 10-15 hours off your workflow, and helps your guests make up for not having a pro-quality mic. I've had guests just use their internal mic and Magic Audio fixes it. Taking out the Ums and Uhs is a single button click.

Cons

Not a lot of cons, honestly. Super intuitive. I had 3 podcasts out of 100 go janky, 1 was from a software glitch and 1 was an electrical storm (that one never got recovered and we had to re-record). 2 of them the service team helped me recover which was massive.

### "Stick with Zoom over Riverside! "

November 22, 2025

3.0

Overall, it may be good for talking head videos or podcasters, but if you are an educator or want music or the ability to have a lot of co grip over the timeline graphics and text, this is not the software I would choose. The price is reasonable, but features just aren’t there for me that I use daily.

Pros

I really liked the video download quality. It was clear and high quality recordings I could use in my self-paced courses. I also liked many of the editing features like being able to take out portions of video by simply taking out the text transcript. So easy!

Cons

A lot of things were not as good as Zoom. You can’t share sound only. If you want to share your computer sound you must also share that screen with your audience or students. I’m a dance teacher so this is a feature I have to have. You can buy MP3s and then upload them to Riverside and play them, but the music will not line up with your body movements or mouth if you’re a singer in the recording. Laying music tracks over your video is nearly impossible in the editor because it randomly just jumps around. You also can’t animate graphics or text like you can if editing in Canva. Meaning, you can’t have things bounce in or anything special. The screen share is also an odd view, there is white space in the recording over the screen.

Reason for choosing Riverside

Price and ease of use were important to me. I found a lot of tutorials on YouTube for Riverside and was also recommended by a teacher friend.

I was looking for higher quality video in the recording. Riversides video quality is excellent. I was hoping to be able to also use the editor within Riverside, but it is severely lacking compared to Canva editor with being able to animate and time graphics and text.

### "Riverside: It's More Than Podcasting, A Boatload More!"

August 17, 2026

5.0

The ability to cloud record remote interviews has been a game changer for our company. Also, I am able to edit with AI assistance video shorts has given us another piece to moentize.

Pros

I love the quality and the ability to make "shorts" from my content. The AI editing tool has been my "go to" for audio tweaking on all my videos, whether it's in Riverside ro from an interview that I've captured on site.

Cons

I think the only issue that I have currently with riverside is to only be able to schedule 3 podcast interviews at a time. I think being able to schedule up to 10 would make schedule easier for us.

### "My favorite recording and editing platform"

August 7, 2026

4.0

It is my favorite platform to use for producing video and audio at this time. I have used others in the past, and I've gone back to check them out now and then, but I come back to Riverside. It is the easiest and fastest to work with so far for us. I love that they offer videos explaining anything new they have. That library is very helpful.

Pros

Overall, it is very user-friendly with very good results. The AI creates show notes with very few, if any, errors. The editing tools are amazing. Being able to tweak the sound quality is easy and really helpful. Lots of options available for making a podcast or video what you want it to be. The value for the money is great. I like that I can create all kinds of projects, and it's AI creates snippets of video for social media. I may go in an edit it a bit, but overall, it does a great job.

Cons

The most frustrating thing about Riverside is really a small thing that just drives us crazy - when they update, things move, and we spend way too much time trying to find the export button for our finished videos and audio. One week it is one place, the next it is under a drop down menu that did not contain it the week before. It's a little thing that causes us so much angst. The ever-changing dashboard is annoying, but having the new updates and upgrades is pretty cool. Occasionally, the program glitches and just won't let us inor shuts down mid-recording, but that hasn't happened lately with the newer updates. It did happen a few months ago way too often. I think they must have fixed the problem.

### "Best for recording AND editing my podcast"

July 18, 2026

4.0

Very good overall experience! I was using Descript for recording and editing but the recording was terrible. Half the time I'd have to go back and download separately then try to combine after the guest was gone. I never have to do that with Riverside. I kept Descript for editing because I liked the white background but got used to Riverside and now I only use Riverside for recording and editing. I've used the customer service a few times and it's always exceeded my expectations.

Pros

I use RS for the Evolving Together podcast. The customer service is especially efficient and very helpful. The pricing is fair too. It's easy for guests to join the podcast and I love that it's the same link each time. I like that the original recording always stays intact and then edits are accessible separately making it easy to do multiple versions of the same original. The track cleanup to have both speakers match is also great. I have recommended RS to several people already.

Cons

When editing, the option box for editing pops up and it's too big, especially when offering the AI video editing (which I don't use) making it hard to see what you are actually wanting to edit. The AI voice correction doesn't work well.

### "Reliable for Every Recording"

July 29, 2026

5.0

I always recommend Riverside since it always comes through for me at the moments that matter most: when I'm establishing credibility and trust with a podcast guest who is already on edge because they're about to be recorded.

Pros

Riverside never fails me. I always get pristine files for each podcast recording, it's easy to use for even the least tech-savvy guests, and I rely on the Made For You components provided after each recording. I'm also really liking the ease of publishing a new podcast via their new Hosting tool.

Cons

Enterprise cost is a HUGE jump from the more basic tiers. As a very small yet growing podcast agency, upgrading was not feasible for my budget yet.

### "Riverside is your best friend and best assistant."

July 15, 2026

5.0

It has helped me through multiple podcasts with multiple guests and different types of edits over the years.

Pros

I have been using Riverside for close to 6 years. The updates they have made have been consistent and helpful. Every update blows my mind and simplifies the recording and editing process. Not to mention social media content. Customer Support has been helpful when needed and very receptive to feedback. The AI Constant Eye Gaze feature is my favorite.

Cons

### "Riverside is the best in class web video management software!"

May 7, 2026

5.0

Pros

I get great value out of this "one stop shop" for video streaming, editing and uploading to social media. Riverside is incredibly easy to use for all of the projects I have created. Riverside provides my all of the options I've been looking for in a podcasting software and goes beyond just podcasting as a use case. I find the management of my video files extremely easy while creating a project. When I have had issues, the self-help videos are tremendous, and their AI support is also very good. They keep adding features, so I'm sure I'll have even more good things to say a week from now.

Cons

The only critique I have is minor. The Riverside.com vs Riverside.fm website difference creates issues with my browser sometimes. I know that's primarily a me thing, but there has to be a way to get users to the right site the first time without having to log in each time.

Riverside has been a game-changer for Keys to the Future. The recording quality is outstanding, the platform is incredibly easy to use, and the AI tools have dramatically streamlined my editing workflow. Pros

### "Tried Everything. Riverside Is on Another Level"

April 7, 2026

5.0

I’ve tried Zencastr, SquadCast, and several others, and Riverside is a cut above the rest. I’ve been able to record hundreds of episodes with it, and it has been the most consistent out of all of them.

Pros

Honestly, Riverside just makes everything way easier. The biggest thing for me is the quality. No matter what the internet is doing, the recordings still come out super clean, which is huge when you’re working with guests remotely. I also love how simple it is to use. I can send someone a link and they’re in, no tech headaches or setup issues. That alone saves me a ton of time and stress. The separate tracks and overall workflow are really solid too. It just feels like the platform was built for people who actually record content regularly. Overall, it’s one of those tools that just works and lets me focus on the conversation instead of worrying about the tech.

Cons

I don’t like that I’m limited to scheduling only 3 podcast interviews in Riverside. I wish there were an unlimited option. Also, when I record interviews and try to stream them at the same time, the quality drops as soon as I press record and go live for viewers. I wish that wasn’t the case. It would also be great to have AI listening in real time and suggesting follow-up questions during the conversation.

Vladimir, hundreds of episodes, tried Zencastr, SquadCast, and several others, and Riverside comes out on top for consistency — that's the kind of real-world validation that means everything to us. "Built for people who actually record content regularly" is honestly one of the best descriptions of what we're going for. The scheduling limit and simultaneous record+stream quality drop are both noted — really valuable feedback, and the real-time AI follow-up question idea is genuinely exciting. March 20, 2026

5.0

I have recorded well over 70 shows now on Riverside, the additional features with shorts, hooks and segments are changing my social feeds and growing audiences. This has become my leading source of content creation because Riverside is so user friendly.

Pros

Riverside is so easy! As someone who is always testing tools out to make business easier, Riverside was so easy to get started, develop style and export the episodes and shorts. It is saving so much time.

### "This is the podcasting/recording tool you're looking for."

June 23, 2026

5.0

Riverside delivers exactly what it promises and honestly feels inexpensive for the value I'm getting out of it. The videos and audio remains crisp, the clips it pulls are ACTUALLY GOOD. So many programs swear they can auto clip but they pull awkward ones or ones that wouldn't get much engagement. It's also very accurate with it's automatic titling and chapters. The editing tools are also great if you're looking for basic clipping. Love it.

Pros

I was looking for something that was "plug and play" that would preserve the quality and professionalism of the videos. Riverside provides that and more! The built-in editing features and smart clipping makes this worth way more than any other tool I've ever used.

Cons

I do have to provide some education to my guests on how to log in and to stay for a moment to get the video uploaded which can be a little awkward. Not many people seem to have used it before that I'm encountering, so there's a lot of education around it. I also wish it had built-in reminder emails (maybe it does and I haven't found it yet). I've been manually scheduling reminder emails to my guests to log in at XX time with log in details.

### "An Easy Online Meeting Place!"

May 21, 2026

4.0

Overall, I have been pleased with Riverside. I use it as my primary recording option for meeting with coaching clients, interviewing guests on my podcast, and for livestreaming events.

Pros

Riverside allows me to meet with clients in private and to record clean files during interviews. I appreciate having the opportunity to edit the individual audio files for each participant in the recording. It has been helpful when a background noise needed to be removed from one audio file and saved the interview for me!

Cons

The platform is limited to using specific web browsers, and this has been an issue for my guests who don't use Chrome. I've also had recording sessions where there was a lag in the video feed, and that caused my guests to get frustrated during those times.

After the first year, the price was too much, and I switched to Streamyard, but I preferred to use Riverside and switched back when I found a discount code that helped. The price is my main restriction.

It is a great product I will likely continue to use for my podcasting, editing, video creation, thumbnail creation as well as AI generated descriptions. The value for the money I paid each month made it very worth it!

Pros

### "Poetry in motion"

June 17, 2026

5.0

Amazing I needed something to rely on and stick with and it's definitely riverside, I'm grateful for y'all. You guys really are helping me with my dream and business. Riverside just has all the tools I no longer have a team helping me with my podcast and with all the work I have you guys gave me the tools to make light of it.

Pros

You guys care I use this for my podcast and my individual channel and all the tools you have amazing Riverside is feeling more more like HOME as I use it homebase where I can just do what I need to do distribute how I need to distribute and call it. Good Riverside is a great program. I just hope you guys are strong off-line as well. Matter of fact, if you have a off-line set up where use someone can schedule all their post, etc. and then when they get connected to the Wi-Fi boom it's ready to upload all schedules go up that would be awesome. Riverside is worth the money.

Cons

Just a editing program, but I mean, I think my editing program is built for editing. Riverside is built to help podcast and create and that's your guys strength focus and stick to your main weapons, but may strengthen the editing eventually. I think also the iPad and iPhone app if you can make those mimic the website that would be great as well as far as uploading, posting scheduling, etc..

### "We LOVE Riverside"

March 9, 2026

4.0

I love using Riverside and would highly recommend it for other podcasters. When we first got started, we looked at all the options as far as video and audio editing, publishing, recording, etc., and Riverside is the only place we've found that really streamlines the process and makes it easy for people who don't have a lot of technical experience.

Pros

The process of recording, editing, and publishing all from one platform is a value that's hard to beat. The editing feature is great, and I have found using AI to clean up the audio and making some individual tweaks in the EQ setting is so much faster than trying to do it myself with a different program. I also love how easy it is to do remote podcasts with guests who are far away. Having separate audio tracks for those types of podcasts makes it very easy to get a clean audio, especially when guests aren't using podcast mics or special equipment. I also love the video editing features. We use a DSLR camera for our episodes and sometimes the lighting can look a bit too warm, but editing it in Riverside has been very easy. I can easily insert our static intro and outro music, using transitions that make the entire product look professional from start to finish. Plus, customer service has also been great to us. Anytime we have had questions or issues, it has been dealt with in a timely manner. When we were having an issue with the camera we were using, customer service went above and beyond to figure out what the issue was, and even sent us links to the Sony website to help us find the drivers we needed.

Cons

Sometimes the editing part of the website can be a bit laggy, but that also might have to do with the computer I am using. Some days it is seamless, other days it can be a bit slow to use. But honestly, now that I have a system, even on the days it's not running as quickly, it still doesn't take me very long at all. I end up spending about 30 minutes editing a 1.5 hour podcast, which is great.

### "A true disruptor in the media creation industry and still improving "

May 31, 2026

4.0

Positive. I was really grateful when I discovered Riverside. It's been a treat to see it evolve and see it grow into something groundbreaking that doesn't exist anywhere else in the long form content creation sphere. It's made it easier for me to achieve what I need for my goals as a podcaster.

Pros

It's mostly a one stop shop for me and my needs when editing my podcast episodes. I really appreciate that it allows me to achieve my goals for the podcast and to create content that I need for social media. I also have heard from guests that they feel very secure when using it and that it's very user friendly to log on. I don't think it's the cheapest platform, rightfully so, but I still think it's worth it. It's easy to create separate projects for each guest and I love all of the options I have when it comes to editing. I'm iffy on AI stuff but I do appreciate it in this sphere of influence because it simplifies my workflow.

Cons

I wish there were more membership options. I also wish there were more options than guest, producer, and host. I also think it should be an option for the producer to select if a guest is joining but does not want to be recorded. This is mainly since the producer labeling is confusing when a guest gets sent it. I also don't think Riverside catches the best audio quality due to variable internet. I filmed recently with a good microphone and it was hardwired directly into my computer and it still had warbly output. I was a little disappointed but not much I could do about that.

### "Riverside is the best platform for beginner podcasters!"

March 25, 2026

5.0

Overall, Riverside makes developing and producing our podcast fairly simple. While editing may take some time, the additional options for producing the best version of our episodes are what make Riverside such an ideal investment.

Pros

I like the way Riverside makes scheduling easy for our podcast, taking out the hassle of having to send separate email notifications to all guests. I also love the reels that Riverside provides and the title and score that accompany each reel. When it comes to promoting our podcast episodes, these reels make it easier to decide what to showcase to draw our audience in. I also love how each participant has their own voice track to work with. This can help during the editing process if a miscellaneous sound needs to be removed for clarity of the conversation.

Cons

The editing process could use some work. There are times when changing the scene to include all the hosts and/or guests can distort the audience's view of one or more persons. Additionally, we had to scrap an entire episode because the platform cut out much of our host's interactions with a guest. While customer support tried their best to troubleshoot, the audio was lost with no rhyme or reason as to why or how things malfunctioned the way they did.

Hi Delonica, Thank you for such a detailed review! We’re so happy that the guest scheduling and individual audio tracks are making your production easier. We sincerely apologize for the episode you had to scrap—that is never the experience we want for our creators. Your feedback about the scene layout distortion in the editor has been shared with our product team to help us improve the visual transitions in post-production. Best regards, The Riverside Team

### "Artists Dream"

May 12, 2026

5.0

Great value for the price. Easy to use. Insanely helpful customer support. True content partnership with Magic Edits. Excellent output. 10/10

Pros

Riverside was the game changer I didn't know I needed! I accidentally fell into podcasting and was using Zoom, because it was a tool I knew about. Manual editing was tough, to say nothing of the creating the transcripts and clips for reels. I was so exhausted with the entire process, I almost quit.

Cons

Not to sound corny, but legit the only con is how EASY it is! I find myself creating and podcasting even more than I originally planned because it's just so easy to be an artist now.

### "My Honest Review of Riverside After Nearly 2 Years"

July 20, 2026

5.0

Overall, my experience with Riverside has been excellent. I've been using the platform for about a year and a half to two years, starting at the very beginning of my podcasting journey and now continuing to use it as I expand into other content creation projects. Over that time, I've seen Riverside consistently improve the platform with helpful updates and new features that make creating content easier. I've also had a great experience with their customer support—they're responsive and quick to help whenever I've had questions. Overall, Riverside has been the best recording and editing platform I've used, and my experience has been better than with other platforms I've tried.

Pros

What I like most about Riverside is how easy it makes editing. I can quickly improve audio quality, export high-quality videos (up to 2K), and everything runs smoothly and fast. I also love that they're constantly adding new features, automatically creating Shorts and Reels, and making it simple to invite guests for interviews. It saves me time and makes creating content much easier.

Cons

Although I like the eye contact feature, I'd love to see it improve. Right now, it doesn't always accurately match or preserve the person's natural eye color, so making that feature more realistic would make it even better.

### "Best way to start a podcast"

February 20, 2026

5.0

I love Riverside, and I'm so glad I was willing to pay a little bit to start with this platform rather than trying to go the free route.

Pros

As a novice, it was easy to get up and running quickly with Riverside. The chat support and tutorial videos were helpful in coming up the recording and editing learning curve at the beginning. I also love how they are always iterating and improving the product with new features. I eventually hired an editor and am happy that I could invite her to the platform - it makes collaboration on the episodes much easier.

Cons

It's technology, so it's not without its minor glitches here and there. That being said, none of my episodes have ever been fatally compromised because of tech glitches.

### "The day I found Riverside was a day to remember"

April 20, 2026

5.0

Transformational.....it gives the time i need to do the work I need to do which is focusing on content and not removing ums from a waveform.

Pros

I like most everything but the removal of mundane editing and fast pass to a pro content with tools in one place that seem to work most all the time. The AI audio for leveling and eq are very solid, given that most of my work is interviewing non professional via computer..they may have a heil 40 pro and PL320 EV or they may have an amazon mike or nothing at all. The ai audio give me a level field of participants and the ability to export audio only for the audio platforms. Editing is a breeze.

Cons

I'm dependent on net traffic flow, ocassional crashes, remote user not have enough resources to run the software.....I'm not sure there is much you can do about that and folks like me just have to find work arounds. I've found advance planning with guests works well and I developed a youtube tutorial for guest on how to log on to Riverside into my studio.
