### "Riverside is the best in class web video management software!"

May 7, 2026

5.0

Pros

I get great value out of this "one stop shop" for video streaming, editing and uploading to social media. Riverside is incredibly easy to use for all of the projects I have created. Riverside provides my all of the options I've been looking for in a podcasting software and goes beyond just podcasting as a use case. I find the management of my video files extremely easy while creating a project. When I have had issues, the self-help videos are tremendous, and their AI support is also very good. They keep adding features, so I'm sure I'll have even more good things to say a week from now.

Cons

The only critique I have is minor. The Riverside.com vs Riverside.fm website difference creates issues with my browser sometimes. I know that's primarily a me thing, but there has to be a way to get users to the right site the first time without having to log in each time.

### "I love Riverside."

May 25, 2026

3.0

Overall, I love Riverside and the ability to pre-record my material and do the post-production in one spot.

Pros

I like that I can edit via the transcript. This helps with correcting audio and makes it a more seamless process.

Cons

I don't like the fact that the connection or server has delays at time and it takes more time to edit.

### "Riverside Is A Major Part of My Success"

April 9, 2026

5.0

Overall, I love Riverside. I was doing LIVE broadcasting with them. The Magic Audio is probably my favorite part. Magic Audio is pretty amazing! The quality of sound really takes a load off of production for me, having 3 podcasts. I also love the fact that I can organize my work by "Projects". Customer service is also very real. If ever there's an issue, a real human gets back to me and acts like a human, not a robot spouting policy. In 2026, that is a major selling point. I also LOVE that Riverside genuinely keeps trying to grow and upgrade. They are never satisfied with being okay. They seem to also listen to their customers, which is why they keep getting better. I have recommended Riverside to others already.

Pros

I love that Riverside has several services wrapped in one. I have 3 podcasts and Riverside is the best bang for my buck.

Cons

My only drawback is that Riverside automatically generates AI Magic episodes or Magic Clips. I use both, but not one every single one. It's a waste. The AI Magic should only generate when we ask for it.

Fatima, managing 3 podcasts and having Riverside be a major part of that success — that's everything. Your point about Magic Audio taking a load off production is exactly why we built it. The feedback on AI generation being opt-in rather than automatic is really thoughtful and something we'll pass along to the product team. And "a real human gets back to me and acts like a human, not a robot spouting policy" — I'm going to share that one with our support team, it made my day. – Dor from Riverside

### "Video Creating, Editing, and Delivery best bang for the buck"

June 1, 2026

5.0

Riverside has really streamlined the entire process for me. As I am learning the new features, things just get better and better. For example, I can load my show notes into Riverside, and it can help me give my Episode a title, or a short YouTube description. It can be helpful in creating a thumbnail as well with AI. I think the biggest time saver is how it creates the shorts. The AI has become very good at doing this, and if you feel like it cut something off or started too late, you can easily go in and edit the short by following the transcript, making it easy to find the word or phrase you want to add to your clip. The biggest time saver in editing is how it can remove all of you dead air moments, of your Ummm's and Ahh's, almost seamlessly. Really, it is a no-brainer. For the price, you get high-quality video, most of your video-creating tasks and editing done for you, and when I had to use customer support, they were spot on and very helpful.

Pros

With Riverside, adding Guests, taping, editing, creating shorts, and much more are made super simple. This is all done at a reasonable cost compared to going to separate services.

Cons

There are some limitations with the editing. I find I do my initial edit in Riverside, which is really super easy, then I download it and use a more powerful PC based editor to complete the edits for a much more polished look. Its not that you cannot get a professional look from Riverside's editing, however, I had a format I was using PRIOR to coming to Riverside and wanted to maintain that, which I found I could not do with their editor.

### "Seeds and secrets: The Faith Files"

May 27, 2026

5.0

Overall, I really love Riverside. I would recommend it 10 out of 10. It's a great starting place and it's also a great place to continue. I'm using it for my podcast. We record we don't use it to stream and it's been great. The AI integration has been wonderful the way that you can just type in there and ask it to make an edit for you and it'll ask follow-up questions and then do the cut and then ask if that's okay and if you want any changes it's been great.

Pros

First of all, Riverside's learning curve was so manageable. I was starting from a place where I knew what I wanted to do and I had a vision and a passion but I didn't really have all of the technical know-how and even more so the time to get to know the system and I feel like Riverside from the start was very intuitive. It's very secure. I've never had any issues with login or any sort of security breaches. Any issues I've ever had with customer support as far as like billing, follow-up or changing cards or updating card info. It's all been really easy. My ability to create the projects that I envision have absolutely been possible because of Riverside. Me and my team are able to communicate in a way that's so effective. I shared a link with my co-host when we first got the Riverside studio set up and he's been able to just repeat, get right in the studio every time there's never any fuss. We don't ever have sound issues with the premium version which is so worth it. You get all the different magic studio features that are just insurmountable and I'm even waiting for my show to grow in a way to where we can utilize the feature where someone is just in there and is actually just playing the producer role controlling the camera, switching the media doing that sort of thing. So overall 10 out of 10 great products would recommend absolutely.

Cons

There were some limitations about Riverside that I didn't like. For example, a lot of the really fancy green screen effects and floating banners and things like that aren't really big, but I also realized that wasn't really going to add value the way I thought it would to a product if it didn't already have value.

### "Focus on the conversation, not the studio."

June 26, 2026

5.0

Riverside allows me to focus on the conversation. Once I hit record, I let the conversation flow and rarely have to keep tabs on the app. Once the recording is over, it's easy to edit the show, create shorts, and upload to all my followings platforms.

Pros

I have been on the platform for over two years and I most enjoy how Riverside doesn't rest on their laurels. There is plenty of updates and new integrations that keep me finding easier ways to create content.

Cons

Gosh, this is a hard one. I don't think I have any bad experiences with the platform. Once in a while I will have a guest struggle with the new to them tech but thats usually not to hard to walk them through.

### "Everything in one place and sooo easy and convenient!"

May 20, 2026

5.0

I love how easy and convenient it is. It really was made for podcasters and it simply makes life easier and more fun.

Pros

I love that I have everything I need in once place for podcasting. When you first start it can be so overwhelming (you don’t know where to start), but this made it easy. I didn’t have to be techie to figure it out and it’s just so convenient. Even the editing—being able to do it through the transcript—was wowwww! So cool! And it’s easy to send to editor. You don’t have to download to then send and waste hours on that. You just send the link and voila! So easy! Oh, and did I mention having the option to invite people in is amazing? The other day I was invited to a podcast and we had to end up using my riverside because the host’s system wasn’t working. Riverside is really reliable.

Cons

The only thing I don’t like is that it doesn’t let me record on 4k. I got a really good computer camera but but it lowers the resolution. Maybe I haven’t been able to figure out the trick if it does work. My editor couldn’t figure it out either.

### "Riverside is brilliant as an all in one platform for podcasting and video editing!"

May 5, 2026

5.0

Absolutely outstanding platform. I can not begin to share how pleased I am as they are an all in one platform. I can host my podcast, edit, make shorts, have captions for IG & blogs, photos and the cherry on top was the Youtube Thumbnail. I'm so glad I listed to my friend and signed up. Referring this platform often.

Pros

I am blown away by the editing tools that Riverside offers. They are always improving their platform with new tools and providing value for the what you are paying for the platform. When I first signed up, their customer service won me over. They are very responsive. I am in the beginning phases of starting my podcast and a good friend had referred me to Riverside as they use it. Again, I was so impressed by how easy it was to use the platform . Once I watched a couple of videos, I was good to go.

Cons

I was used to editing my videos using CapCut/DaVinci Resolve. Not being able to move items on the timeline withing Riverside was an issue. They have since resolved that issue with the latest update.

### "Excellent for podcasting and virtual coaching"

June 25, 2026

5.0

Excellent program, versatile and easy to use. It's very stable and not prone to losing the connection, even if my guest's connection is iffy.

Pros

It's a stable platform for podcasting. I even lost power for a few seconds and got the interview back up and running within a few minutes. I rarely have guests who can't connect. It's also a fantastic platform for webinars and coaching with good sound and video quality. It's easy to use. I don't need to ask for help very often, I can figure it out on my own.

Cons

It's not easy to use in my sound-damped home studio because I only have a display there. I'm considering adding a webcam.

### "Features that give podcasters time back in their post-production processes"

April 30, 2026

5.0

I've tried at least a half dozen recording and production platforms over the past decade I've been podcasting, and Riverside is the platform I finally landed on. I made the switch from Streamyard, and honestly, the combination of superior features and a better price point made it a pretty easy decision. The interface is clean, organized, and intuitive, a quality many competitors don't manage to pull off. Everything is where you expect it to be, and the overall UX just feels like it was designed by people who podcast. The Pro version feature set is robust without feeling overwhelming, and the brand kit has been a genuine standout for me. As someone who runs multiple shows, brand consistency matters enormously, and having that kit built right into the platform means every episode looks and feels cohesive without extra effort on my end. It's one of those features that saves time. Speaking of time, our team has cut post-production by about 15% since switching to Riverside, and that number still impresses me. My team can handle roughly 50% of my post-production work right inside the platform, which means fewer tools, fewer exports, and fewer headaches. The transcripts generate quickly, the video editing tools are straightforward and easy to use, and the dark interface is easy on the eyes during long editing sessions. One honest caveat worth mentioning: the brand kit can be a little tricky to find at first, and navigation has a slight learning curve in a few spots. Not a dealbreaker by any stretch. Overall, Riverside has genuinely changed how my team works. If you're wondering whether the switch is worth it, the answer is yes! Highly recommend Riverside to any serious podcaster or video creator!

Pros

Clean, organized, and intuitive UX interface Dark screen interface that's easy on the eyes during long sessions Fast transcript generation Easy video editing right inside the platform Brand kit that ensures consistent branding across every episode Robust Pro version feature set Ability to handle 80% of post-production without leaving the platform Better price point than Streamyard Reduced team post-production time by 15%

Cons

Hard to use the Brand kit, not intuitive enough. I would like the brand kit as a separate interface, as Canva uses it, so I can choose the brand kit I want.

Alternatives considered

### "Tried Everything. Riverside Is on Another Level"

April 7, 2026

5.0

I’ve tried Zencastr, SquadCast, and several others, and Riverside is a cut above the rest. I’ve been able to record hundreds of episodes with it, and it has been the most consistent out of all of them.

Pros

Honestly, Riverside just makes everything way easier. The biggest thing for me is the quality. No matter what the internet is doing, the recordings still come out super clean, which is huge when you’re working with guests remotely. I also love how simple it is to use. I can send someone a link and they’re in, no tech headaches or setup issues. That alone saves me a ton of time and stress. The separate tracks and overall workflow are really solid too. It just feels like the platform was built for people who actually record content regularly. Overall, it’s one of those tools that just works and lets me focus on the conversation instead of worrying about the tech.

Cons

I don’t like that I’m limited to scheduling only 3 podcast interviews in Riverside. I wish there were an unlimited option. Also, when I record interviews and try to stream them at the same time, the quality drops as soon as I press record and go live for viewers. I wish that wasn’t the case. It would also be great to have AI listening in real time and suggesting follow-up questions during the conversation.

10 out of 10. I have complete trust and confidence in everything about the Riverside platform. I know that useful features and upgrades are always in the works. And in a couple of instances where we had some technical difficulties, the communication, support, and follow up from the Riverside staff was nothing short of amazing. It is a great product I will likely continue to use for my podcasting, editing, video creation, thumbnail creation as well as AI generated descriptions. The value for the money I paid each month made it very worth it!

Pros

Pros

### "Honestly, Riverside is the only reason I'm not stressed about video"

March 12, 2026

4.0

I have used Riverside for quite some time now. Overall things have been great. There were a few times where I recorded and it didn't save or upload, but that would probably be less than 5% of the time with my experience. This platform has helped me record and deliver a podcast consistently, create a course to help people, create marketing material and social media content. Riverside is perfect for the beginner and the seasoned veteran who knows that speed and convenience trumps all the glitz and glam features other platforms dangle in front of you. But don't let that last sentence make you think Riverside doesn't have awesome features. Every day I learn something new and can easily use it. Did I mention they have amazing customer support! A+++++ in my book!

Pros

I like the simplicity of everything. Scheduling, Recording and editing are very easy. Also LOVE the quality of voice enhancement! I have a room that can be noisy and this saves me from spending extra money on equipment.

Cons

With simplicity comes a lack of advanced features. Even minor adjustments, like editing the colors of just a single clip can be difficult. Things are getting better, but the editing isn't quite there to give Riverside the five stars yet.

### "A true disruptor in the media creation industry and still improving "

May 31, 2026

4.0

Positive. I was really grateful when I discovered Riverside. It's been a treat to see it evolve and see it grow into something groundbreaking that doesn't exist anywhere else in the long form content creation sphere. It's made it easier for me to achieve what I need for my goals as a podcaster.

Pros

It's mostly a one stop shop for me and my needs when editing my podcast episodes. I really appreciate that it allows me to achieve my goals for the podcast and to create content that I need for social media. I also have heard from guests that they feel very secure when using it and that it's very user friendly to log on. I don't think it's the cheapest platform, rightfully so, but I still think it's worth it. It's easy to create separate projects for each guest and I love all of the options I have when it comes to editing. I'm iffy on AI stuff but I do appreciate it in this sphere of influence because it simplifies my workflow.

Cons

I wish there were more membership options. I also wish there were more options than guest, producer, and host. I also think it should be an option for the producer to select if a guest is joining but does not want to be recorded. This is mainly since the producer labeling is confusing when a guest gets sent it. I also don't think Riverside catches the best audio quality due to variable internet. I filmed recently with a good microphone and it was hardwired directly into my computer and it still had warbly output. I was a little disappointed but not much I could do about that.

### "Riverside with Don"

March 5, 2026

4.0

Overall I’m having a great time using Riverside as my studio. It’s reliable for remote recordings, the quality is professional, and it helps my workflow stay organised.

Pros

Riverside is very easy to use. The interface is clean, joining a session is simple, and the local recording quality is strong even when internet hiccups happen.

Cons

Audio editing can feel a bit limited compared to a full DAW. Some trimming and fine-tuning tools take extra clicks, and larger projects can feel slower to manage.

### "Riverside: great for new and experienced podcasters"

April 3, 2026

5.0

Having now produced almost 20 podcast episodes on Riverside, I would highly recommend it to anyone just starting a podcast, but also to those with more mature podcast operations.

Pros

For someone with no video or audio production experience, it was easy to learn. I rarely had to reach out to Riverside support, and when I did, they were responsive and effective. The AI tools are very helpful and time-saving for production work. The audio cleanup capabilities are particularly good, as we have sometimes had what sounded like poor audio during recording, but then sounded great after processing through Riverside.

Cons

I had to learn the hard way that very large videos bog down and create latency in the platform. This was the one thing that Riverside support could not figure out, though I eventually figured it out myself.

Mike, nearly 20 episodes produced with no prior video or audio experience — that's a fantastic milestone and we're so glad Riverside has been part of that journey! The large video latency issue is a known challenge we're working to improve, and I'm sorry our support team couldn't crack it with you — glad you figured it out regardless. Thanks for the thorough and honest review! – Dor from Riverside

### "Still satisfied after 2+ years of using Riverside"

May 1, 2026

5.0

I've been using Riverside for well over 2 years to produce a weekly podcast - some solo episode, some with guests in the studio. It was recommended to me by another podcaster, and now I recommend it to others who are starting a podcast. The quality and the value for the money is certainly a top reason to choose or stay with Riverside.

Pros

I'm a podcaster who is admittedly not very "techy" so I like the ease of use of Riverside. The platform is very intuitive to use and if I run into questions about a certain feature, getting customer support is quick and easy too.

Cons

Well this is a positive/negative kinda comment -- Riverside is frequently updating their feature and capabilities. That is a positive in many ways. However, it also posing a possible negative for us non-tech savvy people that "we know how to do it this way" but now it has changed and we now have to learn a new way. Technology updates are well intended and often requested by the end users to create a better end results; but the downside to that is the continuous learning curve (often minor, but real).

### "Great and Awesome"

March 14, 2026

5.0

My experience with Riverside has been a total game-changer for my workflow. The local recording feature ensures I never have to worry about choppy internet ruining an interview again. The platform is intuitive, the 4K video quality is stunning, and the automated transcriptions save me hours in post-production. Highly recommended for any serious creator!

Pros

What sets Riverside apart is the unbeatable local recording quality. Being able to capture uncompressed 4K video and crystal-clear audio—regardless of a spotty internet connection—is a total game-changer for my workflow. The automated transcription and the Magic Clips AI tool have saved me hours in post-production, allowing me to turn a long-form interview into social-ready snippets in minutes. It’s rare to find a platform that balances professional-grade output with such an intuitive, user-friendly interface

Cons

The local recording files are so high-quality that they can be quite large. While this means the audio is pristine, it does require a bit more time for uploading and a stable internet connection to ensure everything syncs perfectly

### "Easy to use; good value for your money; great set of features."

June 7, 2026

5.0

Pros

I love how easy it is to just press a button and start recording. The edit functionality is great, and I think the AI features are actually helpful and not just an afterthought. Especially when wanting to start a podcast, do interviews, or make Youtube videos, I think the ability to quickly spin something up is most impressive. For the price point, I think you're getting great value for your money.

Cons

There's a bit of a learning curve when it comes to adding music. It took me my tenth video before I learned how to add multiple tracks to the video. Now that I know, it makes sense, but the distinction between "upload" and "audio" for music wasn't straightforward. Would also like to see the UI not immediately start creating all these AI-generated clips upon completion of a video. Users will most likely want to edit the main video first -- saving bandwidth for that could be useful.

### "Beginners Welcome"

March 31, 2026

4.0

Overall, I wouldn't have been able to get my little podcast started without it. It helped me get posted up on YouTube, TikTok, LinkedIn and the rest.

Pros

It is relatively easy to use as a beginner, like me. I like the "Magic Clips" that it produces for you. They even change the video perspective from your original. Like close ups.

Cons

I wish it were more intuitive around customization. I have for a while wanted to create a "Title Package" with a close. It hasn't been as helpful for that.

### "Very happy with Riverside - thanks y'all"

March 11, 2026

5.0

Been very happy with the product and very happy to keep subscribing to the platform. Love that all shows are able to be stored and redownloaded too.

Pros

The ability in post production to convert the videos into 1:1, 9:16, or 9:16. This is HUGE for our podcast producer and editing team. Also love the "mark clip" button to be able to go back to that spot and edit.

Cons

Sometimes the video quality is not the best when recording. The talking time before I hit record is perfect, but then I hit record and there is a delay. This does not happen all the time - it is annoying when it does happen.

Dr. Justin, so glad the aspect ratio conversion in post has been valuable for your production workflow! We're working on the recording quality consistency and the time limit constraints - your feedback helps prioritize these. – The Riverside Team
