### "Honestly, Riverside is the only reason I'm not stressed about video"

March 12, 2026

4.0

I have used Riverside for quite some time now. Overall things have been great. There were a few times where I recorded and it didn't save or upload, but that would probably be less than 5% of the time with my experience. This platform has helped me record and deliver a podcast consistently, create a course to help people, create marketing material and social media content. Riverside is perfect for the beginner and the seasoned veteran who knows that speed and convenience trumps all the glitz and glam features other platforms dangle in front of you. But don't let that last sentence make you think Riverside doesn't have awesome features. Every day I learn something new and can easily use it. Did I mention they have amazing customer support! A+++++ in my book!

Pros

I like the simplicity of everything. Scheduling, Recording and editing are very easy. Also LOVE the quality of voice enhancement! I have a room that can be noisy and this saves me from spending extra money on equipment.

Cons

With simplicity comes a lack of advanced features. Even minor adjustments, like editing the colors of just a single clip can be difficult. Things are getting better, but the editing isn't quite there to give Riverside the five stars yet.

### "We LOVE Riverside"

March 9, 2026

4.0

I love using Riverside and would highly recommend it for other podcasters. When we first got started, we looked at all the options as far as video and audio editing, publishing, recording, etc., and Riverside is the only place we've found that really streamlines the process and makes it easy for people who don't have a lot of technical experience.

Pros

The process of recording, editing, and publishing all from one platform is a value that's hard to beat. The editing feature is great, and I have found using AI to clean up the audio and making some individual tweaks in the EQ setting is so much faster than trying to do it myself with a different program. I also love how easy it is to do remote podcasts with guests who are far away. Having separate audio tracks for those types of podcasts makes it very easy to get a clean audio, especially when guests aren't using podcast mics or special equipment. I also love the video editing features. We use a DSLR camera for our episodes and sometimes the lighting can look a bit too warm, but editing it in Riverside has been very easy. I can easily insert our static intro and outro music, using transitions that make the entire product look professional from start to finish. Plus, customer service has also been great to us. Anytime we have had questions or issues, it has been dealt with in a timely manner. When we were having an issue with the camera we were using, customer service went above and beyond to figure out what the issue was, and even sent us links to the Sony website to help us find the drivers we needed.

Cons

Sometimes the editing part of the website can be a bit laggy, but that also might have to do with the computer I am using. Some days it is seamless, other days it can be a bit slow to use. But honestly, now that I have a system, even on the days it's not running as quickly, it still doesn't take me very long at all. I end up spending about 30 minutes editing a 1.5 hour podcast, which is great.

### "Edit from Text; Translate on the Fly"

February 27, 2026

5.0

I began using Riverside exclusively for my podcast episode recordings, but it has since become a go-to tool for work I do on the board of the not-for-profit Charles Bruce Foundation. In fact, I often set up Zoom-like meetings with my Riverside link without any intention of recording because it works so well for me.

Pros

I have been using Riverside for a little over a year since starting my podcast. I am blown away by the ability to edit the audio through a transcript that it automatically generates of your recordings, and when I speak about it with others, such as the director of KICI radio in Iowa, they are blown away by this feature. Another recent discovery I made was the ability to do an interview with people from another country, in this case Ukraine, and get a transcript that is automatically translated. While we utilized a professional translator for the interview, the already translated transcript made subtitle work so much easier. Oh, and though I rarely use it, the ability to turn interview participants into muppets through an AI filter was cute. I may utilize that feature in the future for some attention-grabbing social media marketing.

Cons

I have had to be careful to keep some guests on the podcast after the recording was completed to ensure the full feed uploads to get the full quality. While was a bit more of a challenge when recording guests from Ukraine, it generally isn't an issue AND the quality of the podcast is MUCH better in the long run because it is not negatively impacted by wifi streaming drops.

### "Stick with Zoom over Riverside! "

November 22, 2025

3.0

Overall, it may be good for talking head videos or podcasters, but if you are an educator or want music or the ability to have a lot of co grip over the timeline graphics and text, this is not the software I would choose. The price is reasonable, but features just aren’t there for me that I use daily.

Pros

I really liked the video download quality. It was clear and high quality recordings I could use in my self-paced courses. I also liked many of the editing features like being able to take out portions of video by simply taking out the text transcript. So easy!

Cons

A lot of things were not as good as Zoom. You can’t share sound only. If you want to share your computer sound you must also share that screen with your audience or students. I’m a dance teacher so this is a feature I have to have. You can buy MP3s and then upload them to Riverside and play them, but the music will not line up with your body movements or mouth if you’re a singer in the recording. Laying music tracks over your video is nearly impossible in the editor because it randomly just jumps around. You also can’t animate graphics or text like you can if editing in Canva. Meaning, you can’t have things bounce in or anything special. The screen share is also an odd view, there is white space in the recording over the screen.

### "Riverside with Don"

March 5, 2026

4.0

Overall I’m having a great time using Riverside as my studio. It’s reliable for remote recordings, the quality is professional, and it helps my workflow stay organised.

Pros

Riverside is very easy to use. The interface is clean, joining a session is simple, and the local recording quality is strong even when internet hiccups happen.

Cons

Audio editing can feel a bit limited compared to a full DAW. Some trimming and fine-tuning tools take extra clicks, and larger projects can feel slower to manage.

### "Riverside is the best platform for beginner podcasters!"

March 25, 2026

5.0

Overall, Riverside makes developing and producing our podcast fairly simple. While editing may take some time, the additional options for producing the best version of our episodes are what make Riverside such an ideal investment.

Pros

I like the way Riverside makes scheduling easy for our podcast, taking out the hassle of having to send separate email notifications to all guests. I also love the reels that Riverside provides and the title and score that accompany each reel. When it comes to promoting our podcast episodes, these reels make it easier to decide what to showcase to draw our audience in. I also love how each participant has their own voice track to work with. This can help during the editing process if a miscellaneous sound needs to be removed for clarity of the conversation.

Cons

The editing process could use some work. There are times when changing the scene to include all the hosts and/or guests can distort the audience's view of one or more persons. Additionally, we had to scrap an entire episode because the platform cut out much of our host's interactions with a guest. While customer support tried their best to troubleshoot, the audio was lost with no rhyme or reason as to why or how things malfunctioned the way they did.

Hi Delonica, Thank you for such a detailed review! We’re so happy that the guest scheduling and individual audio tracks are making your production easier. ### "0 to Podcaster with Riverside"

March 5, 2026

5.0

Overall extremely positive. I strongly recommend the product to anyone who wants to get started with a podcast quickly.

Pros

I love the Magic Episodes. I'm not a professional podcaster and have never worked in media, but I was able to get started extremely quickly and I'm now closing in on episode 5. Being able to use AI to automagically edit my episodes was fantastic, as I'm not experienced in audio. The virtual studio also makes a natural space for interviewing my guests, and the transcriptions makes editing very easy. It's truly a ton of value for the money I spend on my Pro subscription.

Cons

The platform itself is a bit slow and buggy. I've noticed several issues with Hooks and Show Notes for example. It's still useful, but it can occasionally require some patience where the AI systems have left sharp edges.

### "Frame By Frame, starring Riverside.fm"

February 26, 2026

5.0

Overall, I’m satisfied: I continue to use it and I hope my platform grows thanks to this program! I’d happily promote Riverside to friends, followers and more!

Pros

What I love most about Riverside is all the tools used to enhanced my podcast series. It has been very beneficial when I post on YouTube & audio plus time consuming to get them ready asap! The captions, the assistance with the overview, takeaways and sound bites, I love having everything at my fingertips!

Cons

There needs to be more useful tools for magic clips. When I post on my reels, YT shorts and TikTok, I’d feel different creative formats like a cinematic look or inputting a different style to switch an image in & out or slides could enhance magic clips better. Also better images that can be used for YouTube instead of asking the AI chat. Those don’t produce the best results, thus me having to create something on the side instead of one prepared for me.

### "5/5 Stars For Anyone Looking To Start A Podcast"

March 10, 2026

5.0

Overall, it has been great and has been an awesome learning experience. I love how much I have learned, while feeling like I am not getting fleeced on the monthly payment.

Pros

I like how it took me from someone with very little video experience to someone who can produce a weekly podcast with a media strategy behind it. Also loved the learning materials on YouTube. Definitely worth the $ for how much time it saves me!

Cons

Sometimes it can be a bit glitchy when editing long-form videos, in my experience. I also wish the duplicate feature worked a bit better for magic clips, it usually takes awhile for the duplicate to populate within the project of the original.

### "From no experience to professional podcaster with one product,"

March 25, 2026

5.0

I have been able to produce 100's of shorts and share them easily across social media which i know has helped us grow our channel.

Pros

I love the result the most, but I also love that getting there is pretty painless. I started a podcast with NO EXPERIENCE a year ago and now have recorded over 40 episodes of Global Student Voices. We do not make any money with our podcast so the value has to be high. This does it for us.

Cons

I wish I had a free way to have interns work on my episodes. I want them to have experience, but can't afford to have them all get paid accounts, and they change every 3 months or so.

### "Riverview definitely speeds up your work flow, but please add ability to move videos in bulk!"

March 29, 2026

5.0

Overall i think it is a great product and I would subscribe again, I would also advise people to use the product.

Pros

It is fairly easy to use and it speeds up the work flow for my talking head videos tremendously. What used to take me 1 hour might take me 30 minutes now.

Cons

There is no bulk edits of files, for example, I would love to bulk move all of the videos from one project to another but I would have to do it one at a time - that is extremely time consuming. The mute is sometimes glitchy, if a word is muted and I want to un-mute - that doesn't always work.

### "Great audio and video quality!"

January 25, 2026

5.0

Riverside not only has much better audio / video quality than Zoom does, but when we're doing podcast management for clients it allows us to separate the audio files along with other very convenient features that allow us to maximize our delivery.

Pros

From a video and audio editing perspective, Riverside is a really great platform. It has great quality and gives us a much better starting point for exceptional delivery. Being able to separat video and audio files from one speaker to the other gives us much more creative freedom.

Cons

A few of our clients use it for podcast recording (which we highly recommend), and we've had clients feel its difficult to navigate, and also struggle when it comes to letting guests into their "room".

### "Very happy with Riverside - thanks y'all"

March 11, 2026

5.0

Been very happy with the product and very happy to keep subscribing to the platform. Love that all shows are able to be stored and redownloaded too.

Pros

The ability in post production to convert the videos into 1:1, 9:16, or 9:16. This is HUGE for our podcast producer and editing team. Also love the "mark clip" button to be able to go back to that spot and edit.

Cons

Sometimes the video quality is not the best when recording. The talking time before I hit record is perfect, but then I hit record and there is a delay. This does not happen all the time - it is annoying when it does happen.

10 out of 10. I have complete trust and confidence in everything about the Riverside platform. I know that useful features and upgrades are always in the works. And in a couple of instances where we had some technical difficulties, the communication, support, and follow up from the Riverside staff was nothing short of amazing. Pros

### "A Reliable Platform for High-Quality Podcast & Video Recording"

March 13, 2026

5.0

Overall, my experience with Riverside has been very positive. It’s become a key tool for recording podcast episodes and video interviews because it keeps the process simple while still delivering high-quality audio and video. The ability to record locally and download separate tracks makes editing and production much easier. For creators, podcasters, and anyone producing remote interviews, it’s a reliable platform that saves time and helps produce professional results

Pros

Riverside makes recording high-quality podcast and video content incredibly simple. I love that it records locally, so the audio and video quality stays crisp even if the internet connection isn’t perfect. The interface is very intuitive, which makes it easy to invite guests, record interviews, and download separate audio and video tracks for editing. It’s been especially helpful for podcasting and video content because everything—from recording to basic editing—can be done in one platform.

Cons

Occasionally the platform can take a little time to process recordings after a session, and the editing tools are more basic compared to full professional editing software. If you want very advanced edits or effects, you may still need to export the files and finish the work in another program.

### "Best way to record a podcast on the web. "

March 25, 2026

5.0

I've been recording a little podcast for a few years now with my brother and dad (who isn't tech savvy at all). We have had zero issue with recording in that time I'm fact since we started they have only added features for no extra charge. We had one minor issue one time and the person we talked to fixed it quickly.

Pros

The ease of use, the value for your money, quality of recording, and options for editing. Since I've started Riverside has only added features without ever charging me extra. I use the minimum paid tier and I still have a wealth of tools at my disposal.

### "A Simple and Efficient Tool for Recording Remote Videos"

March 5, 2026

4.0

Overall, our experience with Riverside has been very positive. The platform makes remote recording and collaboration extremely simple, which is a huge advantage for our workflow. While there are some areas that could improve, especially in the editing tools, the benefits clearly outweigh the drawbacks. We’re also planning to host the podcasts we produce on the platform, although we haven’t fully explored that feature yet.

Pros

Riverside has been a great tool for our team thanks to its simplicity. It’s very easy to start a recording session and quickly share the link with the rest of the team so everyone can join without friction. We also appreciate the automatic initial editing features, which save us a significant amount of time during the early stages of video production.

Cons

The B-roll editing experience still feels a bit underdeveloped. Adding B-roll clips can be somewhat uncomfortable and less intuitive than expected. Because of this, we usually download the video after the initial edit and move it to another video editing software where we can add B-roll, apply effects, and use LUTs more efficiently.

### "A Great Platform for Podcasters"

March 6, 2026

5.0

I have been super-happy with Riverside. I have been happy with the ability to record over vast distances with my podcast subjects and the platform is easy to use, even for a non-techie like me.

Pros

The Riverside platform allows me to reach out to people far away and seem like we are sitting together in the same room. It's also super-easy to use and the AI features make recording a podcast and editing it a breeze - the AI summaries and show notes are amazing, and so are the chapters that it creates. The price is pretty amazing for the features that are included, and the time that it saves me is well worth it!

Cons

The only item that I've had a little issue with is that, when AI is used to fix some recordings, it can jack with a word here or there.

Bryan, "seem like we're in the same room" is one of the best ways to describe what good remote recording should feel like — glad Riverside is delivering that for you! We're refining the AI editing to be more careful with word boundaries. – The Riverside Team

### "So easy to produce a podcast"

March 4, 2026

5.0

We have been using the Riverside platform for over a year to produce our podcast. I haven't experienced any problems.

Pros

It is intuitive and so easy to use for both producers and guests. It's ability to overcome connection issues is very worthwhile and the quality is very high.

Cons

There really isn't much that is negative. I would like to have choices in background fields, either standard ones or customized for each product

Riverside was recommended for podcasts because the output quality was better and the interface for the guests was simple

### "The question is...why not use Riverside?"

February 22, 2026

5.0

Been using Riverside for a while now and overall I love it. It makes my podcasting so much easier, the quality, clarity, and edit shorts are such a huge bonus.

Pros

The platform is very inviting, user friendly, and has kept up with all the advances in technology. The capabilities are endless and the support is wonderful when it comes to issues.

Cons

Sometimes when adding in my own audio that I needed to edit, it does make it hard to cut and move things around.

### " Low barrier to entry, high potential! "

March 24, 2026

5.0

We tried out Riverside to produce videos from an interview series that we were doing. In those interviews, our guests perform a song. We were looking for a platform that would record quality vocals, and Riverside did not disappoint! I'm a beginner in the video and audio editing world, and it's completely user-friendly and helpful. We've also been able to post all of our videos as audio & podcasts for more accessibility. For the amount that it can do, it's a great value!

Pros

It's easy to use, and the company is responsive if there's a problem. I love that it makes small clips all on its own. The audio and video quality are amazing.

Cons

For what it can do, it's certainly not difficult to learn. However, it does take some work on the front end to understand the mechanics and logistics. Make sure to watch the tutorials!

Hi Libby, Thank you so much for the 5-star review! We’re thrilled to hear that you’re finding Riverside to be the best platform for your podcasting needs, especially when it comes to the price point. We love that the guest experience has been easy for you—making things simple for your guests is one of our top goals. We've noted your feedback about the editor being a little laggy sometimes; we’re working hard on performance updates to make the editing process as smooth and fast as the recording itself.
