### "This is the one. Don't second guess it"

May 18, 2026

5.0

I've been podcasting for a couple of years, and I've tried other tools. I landed here, and I stopped looking. It's not flashy, it's just dependable. And when you're building alone, and your show is a real part of what you're putting into the world, dependability is everything. I'm not switching. This is my platform.

Pros

The local recording changed everything for me. My guest's connection can go sideways, and my audio doesn't move. I do a weekly podcast and Friday Night Lives, and I need my sessions to hold. Riverside holds. The quality is there, the interface stays out of your way, and for somebody running everything solo, that's the difference.

Cons

The editor took me longer than it should have to figure out. Nobody really walks you through it. You learn it by doing it, which is fine, but it could be smoother. And the pricing tiers can feel like a stretch when you're building lean and every dollar has to earn its place.

### "Riverside Will Change Your Entire Content Strategy"

May 7, 2026

5.0

I've been using Riverside for years, even before it had the new AI features. I have completely enjoyed Riverside and I have told many people to utilize it. I've taught people how to utilize it and it's been really great for them as well. I would actually love to have a sponsorship for Riverside on my podcast, Youtube channels, Linkedin, and so on.

Pros

I love that Riverside literally makes AI repurposing of your content completely easy and it does it all automatically for you so that way you don't have to waste time trying to edit your content by yourself.

Cons

I wish that I could add the AI audio correction from the dashboard page instead of editing the actual video file itself. When I go into the editing studio to edit the video file it takes a lot more time than just clicking a button on the dashboard under the edited content already that the AI did automatically and it would be nice to add that AI audio correction directly from the dashboard page.

### "We LOVE Riverside"

March 9, 2026

4.0

I love using Riverside and would highly recommend it for other podcasters. When we first got started, we looked at all the options as far as video and audio editing, publishing, recording, etc., and Riverside is the only place we've found that really streamlines the process and makes it easy for people who don't have a lot of technical experience.

Pros

The process of recording, editing, and publishing all from one platform is a value that's hard to beat. The editing feature is great, and I have found using AI to clean up the audio and making some individual tweaks in the EQ setting is so much faster than trying to do it myself with a different program. I also love how easy it is to do remote podcasts with guests who are far away. Having separate audio tracks for those types of podcasts makes it very easy to get a clean audio, especially when guests aren't using podcast mics or special equipment. I also love the video editing features. We use a DSLR camera for our episodes and sometimes the lighting can look a bit too warm, but editing it in Riverside has been very easy. I can easily insert our static intro and outro music, using transitions that make the entire product look professional from start to finish. Plus, customer service has also been great to us. Anytime we have had questions or issues, it has been dealt with in a timely manner. When we were having an issue with the camera we were using, customer service went above and beyond to figure out what the issue was, and even sent us links to the Sony website to help us find the drivers we needed.

Cons

Sometimes the editing part of the website can be a bit laggy, but that also might have to do with the computer I am using. Some days it is seamless, other days it can be a bit slow to use. But honestly, now that I have a system, even on the days it's not running as quickly, it still doesn't take me very long at all. I end up spending about 30 minutes editing a 1.5 hour podcast, which is great.

### "The Most User Friendly Video Content Creation Tool i have ever used"

March 20, 2026

5.0

I have recorded well over 70 shows now on Riverside, the additional features with shorts, hooks and segments are changing my social feeds and growing audiences. This has become my leading source of content creation because Riverside is so user friendly.

Pros

Riverside is so easy! As someone who is always testing tools out to make business easier, Riverside was so easy to get started, develop style and export the episodes and shorts. It is saving so much time.

Cons

I with the transcript tool did a little better in language recognition. Far too many miss spellings or strange combinations of words.

### "I use Riverside for videos and editing "

March 24, 2026

5.0

LOVE it. Super happy with the ease of the program, the quality of the videos and the fact that I can edit my videos myself without it being a total time suck.

Pros

I love the platform as a whole. I don't even have a podcast and I'm using it to short my long form videos then have it edit for me with the AI edit features and then have it products "magic clip" short form videos for me. I recommend Riverside everyone!

Cons

I would love to use the b-roll clips in my videos, but have not liked any the results thus far. Too cartoony or AI and doesn't fit my aesthetics or vibe.

### "Riverside is the key to long-term podcast success"

February 24, 2026

5.0

Super solid, reliable, and easy to use. Far and away the best podcasting recording and editing solution available today.

Pros

Riverside is easy to use, priced right, and they continue to add great features. We tried a few other platforms before finding Riverside, and it has saved us so much time and frustration, we can't imagine using anything else.

Cons

Nothing really. We wish sending assets out (syndication) was a strength, but that would simply be a plus.

Switched from

### "A true disruptor in the media creation industry and still improving "

May 31, 2026

4.0

Positive. I was really grateful when I discovered Riverside. It's been a treat to see it evolve and see it grow into something groundbreaking that doesn't exist anywhere else in the long form content creation sphere. It's made it easier for me to achieve what I need for my goals as a podcaster.

Pros

It's mostly a one stop shop for me and my needs when editing my podcast episodes. I really appreciate that it allows me to achieve my goals for the podcast and to create content that I need for social media. I also have heard from guests that they feel very secure when using it and that it's very user friendly to log on. I don't think it's the cheapest platform, rightfully so, but I still think it's worth it. It's easy to create separate projects for each guest and I love all of the options I have when it comes to editing. I'm iffy on AI stuff but I do appreciate it in this sphere of influence because it simplifies my workflow.

Cons

I wish there were more membership options. I also wish there were more options than guest, producer, and host. I also think it should be an option for the producer to select if a guest is joining but does not want to be recorded. This is mainly since the producer labeling is confusing when a guest gets sent it. I also don't think Riverside catches the best audio quality due to variable internet. I filmed recently with a good microphone and it was hardwired directly into my computer and it still had warbly output. I was a little disappointed but not much I could do about that.

### "Riverside is brilliant as an all in one platform for podcasting and video editing!"

May 5, 2026

5.0

Absolutely outstanding platform. I can not begin to share how pleased I am as they are an all in one platform. I can host my podcast, edit, make shorts, have captions for IG & blogs, photos and the cherry on top was the Youtube Thumbnail. I'm so glad I listed to my friend and signed up. Referring this platform often.

Pros

I am blown away by the editing tools that Riverside offers. They are always improving their platform with new tools and providing value for the what you are paying for the platform. When I first signed up, their customer service won me over. They are very responsive. I am in the beginning phases of starting my podcast and a good friend had referred me to Riverside as they use it. Again, I was so impressed by how easy it was to use the platform . Once I watched a couple of videos, I was good to go.

Cons

I was used to editing my videos using CapCut/DaVinci Resolve. Not being able to move items on the timeline withing Riverside was an issue. They have since resolved that issue with the latest update.

Alternatives considered

Reason for choosing Riverside

Again, the learning curve with Adobe Premier Pro was steep. The price was more and my friend highly recommended Riverside.

### "Riverside is the best platform for beginner podcasters!"

March 25, 2026

5.0

Overall, Riverside makes developing and producing our podcast fairly simple. While editing may take some time, the additional options for producing the best version of our episodes are what make Riverside such an ideal investment.

Pros

I like the way Riverside makes scheduling easy for our podcast, taking out the hassle of having to send separate email notifications to all guests. I also love the reels that Riverside provides and the title and score that accompany each reel. When it comes to promoting our podcast episodes, these reels make it easier to decide what to showcase to draw our audience in. I also love how each participant has their own voice track to work with. This can help during the editing process if a miscellaneous sound needs to be removed for clarity of the conversation.

Cons

The editing process could use some work. There are times when changing the scene to include all the hosts and/or guests can distort the audience's view of one or more persons. Additionally, we had to scrap an entire episode because the platform cut out much of our host's interactions with a guest. While customer support tried their best to troubleshoot, the audio was lost with no rhyme or reason as to why or how things malfunctioned the way they did.

### "Stick with Zoom over Riverside! "

November 22, 2025

3.0

Overall, it may be good for talking head videos or podcasters, but if you are an educator or want music or the ability to have a lot of co grip over the timeline graphics and text, this is not the software I would choose. The price is reasonable, but features just aren’t there for me that I use daily.

Pros

I really liked the video download quality. It was clear and high quality recordings I could use in my self-paced courses. I also liked many of the editing features like being able to take out portions of video by simply taking out the text transcript. So easy!

Cons

A lot of things were not as good as Zoom. You can’t share sound only. If you want to share your computer sound you must also share that screen with your audience or students. I’m a dance teacher so this is a feature I have to have. You can buy MP3s and then upload them to Riverside and play them, but the music will not line up with your body movements or mouth if you’re a singer in the recording. Laying music tracks over your video is nearly impossible in the editor because it randomly just jumps around. You also can’t animate graphics or text like you can if editing in Canva. Meaning, you can’t have things bounce in or anything special. The screen share is also an odd view, there is white space in the recording over the screen.

Alternatives considered

Reason for choosing Riverside

Price and ease of use were important to me. I found a lot of tutorials on YouTube for Riverside and was also recommended by a teacher friend.

### "THE ROLLERCOASTER"

May 7, 2026

5.0

It's been a rollercoaster over the years where I've paid and have left, but it seems like we're in the good ol' days. Make features not just for the novelty of AI but actually being helpful.

Pros

As someone who's used it over the last few years, I see all the strides the company is taking to make a much better product. Before, I would stop my membership because the product couldn't make something as simple as in-picture view if I was sharing a screen while they were focusing on AI. Now it seems like they're making better features I can actually use so I feel much better about consolidating my stack.

Cons

I mentioned it in the pros about the biggest past cons I have, but I still find the web-based editor to be a little clunky but if it's for simple edits, I still use it.

### "Artists Dream"

May 12, 2026

5.0

Great value for the price. Easy to use. Insanely helpful customer support. True content partnership with Magic Edits. Excellent output. 10/10

Pros

Riverside was the game changer I didn't know I needed! I accidentally fell into podcasting and was using Zoom, because it was a tool I knew about. Manual editing was tough, to say nothing of the creating the transcripts and clips for reels. I was so exhausted with the entire process, I almost quit.

Cons

### "0 to Podcaster with Riverside"

March 5, 2026

5.0

Overall extremely positive. I strongly recommend the product to anyone who wants to get started with a podcast quickly.

Pros

I love the Magic Episodes. I'm not a professional podcaster and have never worked in media, but I was able to get started extremely quickly and I'm now closing in on episode 5. Being able to use AI to automagically edit my episodes was fantastic, as I'm not experienced in audio. The virtual studio also makes a natural space for interviewing my guests, and the transcriptions makes editing very easy. It's truly a ton of value for the money I spend on my Pro subscription.

Cons

The platform itself is a bit slow and buggy. I've noticed several issues with Hooks and Show Notes for example. It's still useful, but it can occasionally require some patience where the AI systems have left sharp edges.

### "Best way to start a podcast"

February 20, 2026

5.0

I love Riverside, and I'm so glad I was willing to pay a little bit to start with this platform rather than trying to go the free route.

Pros

As a novice, it was easy to get up and running quickly with Riverside. The chat support and tutorial videos were helpful in coming up the recording and editing learning curve at the beginning. I also love how they are always iterating and improving the product with new features. I eventually hired an editor and am happy that I could invite her to the platform - it makes collaboration on the episodes much easier.

Cons

It's technology, so it's not without its minor glitches here and there. That being said, none of my episodes have ever been fatally compromised because of tech glitches.

### "Best podcasting platform ever! "

Riverside is so easy to use. You don’t need any special equipment or even special skill. You just get on there press record and get going. I know there are lots of more advanced features that some people choose to use, but I have honestly never needed them. Pros

I love that the platform is all inclusive. Everything you need is in one place. Also the whole experience is so intuitive. I was always daunted by the idea of hosting a podcast but Riverside make is so easy and affordable. You feel like they genuinely want to support podcasters to create the best podcast possible!

### "Riverview definitely speeds up your work flow, but please add ability to move videos in bulk!"

March 29, 2026

5.0

Overall i think it is a great product and I would subscribe again, I would also advise people to use the product.

Pros

It is fairly easy to use and it speeds up the work flow for my talking head videos tremendously. What used to take me 1 hour might take me 30 minutes now.

Cons

There is no bulk edits of files, for example, I would love to bulk move all of the videos from one project to another but I would have to do it one at a time - that is extremely time consuming. The mute is sometimes glitchy, if a word is muted and I want to un-mute - that doesn't always work.

February 26, 2026

5.0

Overall, I’m satisfied: I continue to use it and I hope my platform grows thanks to this program! I’d happily promote Riverside to friends, followers and more!

Pros

What I love most about Riverside is all the tools used to enhanced my podcast series. It has been very beneficial when I post on YouTube & audio plus time consuming to get them ready asap! The captions, the assistance with the overview, takeaways and sound bites, I love having everything at my fingertips!

Cons

There needs to be more useful tools for magic clips. When I post on my reels, YT shorts and TikTok, I’d feel different creative formats like a cinematic look or inputting a different style to switch an image in & out or slides could enhance magic clips better. Also better images that can be used for YouTube instead of asking the AI chat. Those don’t produce the best results, thus me having to create something on the side instead of one prepared for me.

### "Great Recording Quality, But Needs More Robust Editing Features"

April 10, 2026

5.0

Overall, Riverside is a solid platform for recording podcasts and remote interviews, especially for users who prioritize simplicity and quality. It’s a good all-in-one solution, but it may require supplemental tools for more advanced editing or production needs.

Pros

Riverside offers high-quality audio and video recording, which is one of its biggest strengths. The local recording feature ensures that content remains clear even if internet connection drops. The platform is relatively easy to use, and having everything in one place for recording, basic editing, and exporting makes the workflow efficient.

Cons

There can be occasional glitches with syncing audio/video or uploading recordings, which can disrupt workflow. The editing tools are somewhat limited compared to more advanced software, and the pricing can feel high for what’s offered, especially if you need more control in post-production.

### "Riverside - makes you an expert podcast producer overnight! "

March 12, 2026

5.0

Phenomenal product and made our podcast really skyrocket off the ground rather than having to spend hours learning how to use video editing software.

Pros

We use Riverside to produce our YouTube podcast, and it's truly the best most affordable app on the market. It's so easy to use it makes you look like a genius when it comes to editing and clipping. The customer support is above and beyond as well. I've had exactly three times where an issue was outside my control, and they quickly fixed the issue, communicated what happened, and fixed the entire video. It uses AI to auto edit sound to sound like studio quality, perfect picture quality, and very branding friendly.

Cons

I wish there was an easier way to manually clip moments even though the AI clipping is great. I wish it gave you the option to change the thumbnail when hosting for sites like Spotify, YouTube, etc. And I'd like it to upload video to Spotify rather than just the audio.

### "Excellent Platform To Record & Livestream!"

May 15, 2026

Overall, the experience has been great and this is definitely a platform that I recommend to all of our clients or people we encounter wanting to start a pod.

Pros

For me, it's the professional grade recording that Riverside allows us to do. We've used it for over three years now and have had over 50 guests and it has failed us only twice.

Cons

The cons have been the support team in the critical moments where we have lost footage or had to update our company email address due to a lost email account. That process was immensely hard to navigate and the time for someone to get back to us was sometimes days.

### "An Easy Online Meeting Place!"

May 21, 2026

4.0

Overall, I have been pleased with Riverside. I use it as my primary recording option for meeting with coaching clients, interviewing guests on my podcast, and for livestreaming events.

Pros

Riverside allows me to meet with clients in private and to record clean files during interviews. I appreciate having the opportunity to edit the individual audio files for each participant in the recording. It has been helpful when a background noise needed to be removed from one audio file and saved the interview for me!

Cons

The platform is limited to using specific web browsers, and this has been an issue for my guests who don't use Chrome. I've also had recording sessions where there was a lag in the video feed, and that caused my guests to get frustrated during those times.

After the first year, the price was too much, and I switched to Streamyard, but I preferred to use Riverside and switched back when I found a discount code that helped. The price is my main restriction.

### "From no experience to professional podcaster with one product,"

March 25, 2026

5.0

I have been able to produce 100's of shorts and share them easily across social media which i know has helped us grow our channel.

Pros

I love the result the most, but I also love that getting there is pretty painless. I started a podcast with NO EXPERIENCE a year ago and now have recorded over 40 episodes of Global Student Voices. We do not make any money with our podcast so the value has to be high. This does it for us.

Cons

I wish I had a free way to have interns work on my episodes. I want them to have experience, but can't afford to have them all get paid accounts, and they change every 3 months or so.

Hi Scott, Congratulations on reaching over 40 episodes! It is inspiring to hear how you went from no experience to a professional workflow using Riverside. We love that our clips are helping you grow your channel. We’ve also noted your feedback regarding a "free way" for interns to collaborate—we are always evaluating our seat and team structures to better support growing shows like yours. Best regards, The Riverside Team

### "This Platform is Worth Checking Out"

May 30, 2026

5.0

I can’t say enough about how positive my experience is with Riverside. The ease of creation and editing, and the money I’m saving are incredible.

Pros

Riverside has been a wonderful, accidental find. Their editing capabilities are fantastic, and they are constantly up leveling the platform. I love that a fully edited product is created by their AI feature, and even better are the short form videos that are provided. Their customer support is quick, convenient, and excellent. The platform is easy to use and saves me tons of time recording and editing my podcast. I’ve been able to save hundreds because now I only need one recording and editing platform for all of my needs.

Cons

I’m used to editing on Adobe Premiere Pro. Riverside is missing some basic editing functionality, but they are constantly updating to improve the platform.

Switched from

[Adobe Premiere Pro](https://www.capterra.com/p/233456/Adobe-Premiere-Pro/)[Zoom Workplace](https://www.capterra.com/p/144037/Zoom-Video-Conferencing/)[Loom](https://www.capterra.com/p/191187/Loom/)

Because Riverside is inexpensive, easy to use, and can cover everything I used to use the other platforms for.

### "Great and Awesome"

March 14, 2026

5.0

My experience with Riverside has been a total game-changer for my workflow. The local recording feature ensures I never have to worry about choppy internet ruining an interview again. The platform is intuitive, the 4K video quality is stunning, and the automated transcriptions save me hours in post-production. Highly recommended for any serious creator!

Pros

What sets Riverside apart is the unbeatable local recording quality. Being able to capture uncompressed 4K video and crystal-clear audio—regardless of a spotty internet connection—is a total game-changer for my workflow. The automated transcription and the Magic Clips AI tool have saved me hours in post-production, allowing me to turn a long-form interview into social-ready snippets in minutes. It’s rare to find a platform that balances professional-grade output with such an intuitive, user-friendly interface

Cons

The local recording files are so high-quality that they can be quite large. While this means the audio is pristine, it does require a bit more time for uploading and a stable internet connection to ensure everything syncs perfectly

Brad, "total game-changer" is exactly what we're aiming for - really glad the local recording quality has set Riverside apart for your workflow. File sizes are something we think about too, and we'll keep working on making that easier to manage. Thanks!

### "Riverside has an excellent suite of tools for easy video podcasting. "

May 6, 2026

5.0

I have been very pleased. I had more than 4 years of podcasting experience before starting a podcast on Riverside. I have used it for video podcasting and hosting of a new podcast. The tools are intuitive and very useful.

Pros

I like the ease of recording either from mobile or on my desktop. I have been a podcaster for several years and wanted to start doing video episodes. This has been easy to learn. The editing is intuitive, uploading episodes is easy and I have been so pleased.

Cons

I have 2 concurrent podcasts. One audio only hosted on a different platform and this one. The only thing I wish Riverside had is more detailed analytics. Analytics are good, but with my other I can see a total of every city and every country that has downloaded an episode. I can only see a few on Riverside and I don't see where I can see those analytics for more than 12 months and I can't see cities, only countries.
