Pros I appreciate that is specifically built for podcasting and records high-quality audio and video content. It has been a reliable tool for my first year of podcasting, and I have no intentions of switching. I like the editing functionality, the AI "magic audio" enhancement, and the user experience for my podcast guests. I highly recommend it for folks who want to create a professional podcast project and want something that is reliable but not overly expensive. Cons I've had a couple instances where the audio came out muddled. In one, the gain was too high on my mic (which is my fault... but it still would have been nice to have some sort of warning from ). In the other case, I thought the audio was recording well, but the wifi for my guest was poor and the audio came out scrambled. These challenges are very disappointing because booking time with a guest and recording an entire interview is a big ask for them, and if it goes wrong, asking to re-record is a big deal. I can record (with guests), edit, host and publish. This saves a huge amount of time because I never have to move files around, uploading/downloading or transferring between different systems. 's auto-transcription, text-based editing, and AI like fixing the audio and removing pauses also make it fast and easy to edit and get it out. Cons I've struggled with some bugs around recording and editing. If a guest joins the recording before the host, it can cause audio issues. The video editor can often freeze the browser and need a hard refresh. I also don't use many of the AI features - magic episodes or summaries don't seem that good. Magic clips/shorts do okay at identifying \*topics\* for a clip, but the boundaries of the clip and the editing make them not directly useful. Review Source BD Bob D. Pros It has everything I could possibly want and then some. I truly feel like I wouldn't outgrow this platform for a long time. I have used the next tier up of the service and really enjoyed the ai features and transcripts but it was a little more than I wanted to spend based on my limited use. Cons I have no complaints. Producer mode is also very helpful as I am not the host and it keeps me from having to edit out my video in the final draft. makes the content creation process so much smoother and has eliminated the need for me to use multiple tools to produce my podcast. Cons Sometimes there are small glitches in the Magic Episodes and Magic Clips. It will cause sections of the episodes to be totally muted. I used Descript to edit the audio before, and I thought it was easier to remove filler words using their editing process. The titles/summaries of the episodes are not always super creative or original, but they aren't bad. I appreciate 's effort to try and make everything on it's own, but some of it still needs to human touch. Helped me a ton and when I did have a contact customer support the response was quick and thorough. Pros makes creating reels so quick. Using the made for you ai has cut down the time that it takes to create reels by 80%. A great feature! Cons I have had a hard time when I’m doing a live. Great for recording especially remotely. I would give it a 8/10 overall. If the price were lower it would be a 10/10. Pros is very user friendly in its ease of use to record and invite others to record. I record remotely with my friends and that is a major plus for me. Plus the editing features are very easy to use as well. Cons The cost of the plans is on the higher side. I pay for the $29/month plan and that’s pushing it in my opinion. Especially given that there’s still a ceiling on how much content I can record. $15/$20 per month would be more palatable. Regarding the actual software, the magic audio isn’t great. When I’ve used it, it would make awkward edits at the beginning and end of each time someone spoke making it sound clunky and even slightly cutting off the beginning and ending of sentences. We have had zero issue with recording in that time I'm fact since we started they have only added features for no extra charge. We had one minor issue one time and the person we talked to fixed it quickly. Pros The ease of use, the value for your money, quality of recording, and options for editing. Since I've started has only added features without ever charging me extra. I use the minimum paid tier and I still have a wealth of tools at my disposal.
