Cons The exporting of videos, audio and hooks takes quite a long time sometimes. I wish it would just download to the computer and not be emailed. I record one with Riverside, but host on Substack. The second podcast, I do everything within Riverside. It couldn't be easier. Pros Video and audio recording is reliable, editing is super simple, and hosting is a great added feature. They have an incredible library of support videos on each topic you could need. It was a slight learning curve but I was up and running quickly. Pros I’ve been using Riverside FM for the past year. It’s incredibly easy to use, creates professional looking audio and video projects, makes editing incredibly simple, and it’s AI integrations work really well producing many extra shorts formatted for social media. Cons It’s definitely more expensive than I wanted to spend. However, after trying the free trial period I realized the quality was supreme. Have recorded over 150 episodes on Riverside and not about to switch anytime soon. Great UX including for guests. LOVE the iPhone continuity camera feature. Cons AI editing tools are not always really precise or quality. Editing in-app is too challenging so I always export to Descript which ostensibly has overlapping features but better functionality. I watched a lot of Youtube videos just to see what this software was even capable of. Then tried it and it was very easy as I already seen it on YouTube. My main point I was to stress is that I was dreading the editing process, but with the text based editing, it is so easy! And it is very helpful to show the pauses, and I can just click and delete it. Pros I like how the user interface is very beginner friendly. Then is there was something that I needed more clarity on, Riverside has tons of videos on YouTube. Cons I had trouble at first with a lot of stuttering or lag. I was using Chrome on my MacBook, and there was a lot of stuttering. Then I tried to use it on Edge, and that solved my stuttering issues. So I'm assuming with Chrome was just taking up too much data to use with Riverside on my setup, with the camera and lights running through the usb hub. Review Source WE Wes E.
