It has been a great experience from the moment I spoke to Greg, he walked me through all the features, benefits, integrations like Samsara and I couldn't be happier.

Pros

The ease of use, the customer service, and the platform are top notch. My employees have had no complaints when using the cards and that helps me be more efficient.

Cons

I can't say I have any dislikes, but of course everyone has room for improvement. I would say more 24/7 customer service is always useful especially when we have employees working weekends and late shifts that may experience issues fueling.

My exerience with Coast has been great, excellent team, excellent product support. thier integration team is awesome and was very easy to work with and knowledgable.

Pros

Ability to integrate into our other systems, if a new system or project cannot integrate, a business cannot use it. I like the fraud protection an dSamsara integration piece as well as the QuickBookspiece as well.

Cons

I was told about Coast from another tour and charter operator. The industry were in now has more and more operators using the card.

Pros

I didn’t like Coast. “Coast approved my application and took all my information, but after that I couldn’t get anyone to call me back. I left multiple messages, spoke to a representative who promised a return call, and still never heard from them. The lack of follow‑through and customer service was unacceptable.”

Cons

“I didn’t have a good experience with Coast. I was approved, but after that I never heard back. I called multiple times, left messages, and still got no response. After 37 years in business, I can tell when a company isn’t reliable. WEX has always been the better, more professional option.”

Overall experience has been positive. I'm happy with the response time when issues arrive and enjoy having an individual that we can reach out to directly with questions when needed.

Pros

Coast has dramatic improved our expense management, while also cutting down on labor hours coding receipts. Coast has made it easier for our employees to upload receipts on the go, instead of waiting until the end of the week and fumbling through paperwork. There is a slight learning curve, as with any new software, but if you dedicate the time to implementing the software correctly, the benefit on the back end will truly pay off.

Cons

As Coast continues to grow and roll out new features, it does feel unfortunate to have to be subject to those as they are improved, for example the new AI reader sent false notifications that receipts were incorrectly matched to an expense when trying to read receipts. I wish some of these features could be trial run prior to implementation or only released to accounts that agree to this. Personally, it is not a huge deal to me, but I know our guys in the field have limited patience with any new technology so I fear in situations like this the app will "lose their trust" and they won't use it as much.

### "The Future of Fleet Fueling is Here "

Excellent. CoastPay is orders of magnitude better than WEX. There's often minor hangups with drivers not entering card's last 3 digits correctly to activate them but as the admin I have identified that 99.9% of the problems are employees not following the guidelines for card activation. We've actually printed and laminated a simple '4 Step Instruction' procedure the size of a calling card and taped it to the inside of the vehicles' visors. This mitigated a lot of the card activation issues.

Pros

SMS card activation with license plate, odometer reading verification and receipt upload (game changer).

Cons

Employees that switch vehicles in a 24hr period are assigned (pinned) to the same vehicle for the day, so when activating a card in a different vehicle the system thinks the driver is in the previous vehicle and texts back that the odometer reading is incorrect. I may be overlooking something in the backend but there should be a method that assigns the cards to the vehicles and NOT the cards to the driver so that if a driver switches vehicles in a 24hr period then the system knows that the driver is in a different vehicle from the previous fueling.

Our overall experience with Coast has been excellent. The platform is easy to use, efficient, and has made managing company cards, fuel allowances, spending limits, and transactions much smoother for our team. For a company of our size, Coast has helped us stay organized, save time, and maintain better control over our expenses. We are very happy we made the switch.

Pros

Coast has been working extremely well for our company and we have grown from 80 employees in one state to over 150+ employees in 3 states since joining. The platform makes it easy to manage transactions, track job costs, set fuel allowances, and control spending limits by individual users or groups, including OMs, technicians, and managers. We can easily order, cancel, change, lock, and update credit cards all in one place. The site is user-friendly and continues to improve, making day-to-day card management much smoother. I do not know how we would have done this all without Coast and that is the truth! We are very happy we made the switch from our previous provider!

Cons

To be quite honest, any time there was something we were not completely happy with, I reached out to support and management was able to quickly address and resolve it. Any quirks or concerns we had were handled, which made the overall experience even better.

Having 20 trucks on the road can make it difficult to monitor fuel usage and constantly changing expenses. Coast makes it easy to keep track of this throughout the month. And if something isn't right, wrong fuel grade, too much fuel, etc. Coast will quickly send me a notification. I love Coast. True game changer!

Pros

The ease in which I can monitor my employees fuel usage. Even for the employee, there is no trouble using the card. If something doesn't add up right, like using more fuel than the truck can hold, Coast will immediately let me know so I can investigate right then and there. I love Coast!

Cons

None, honestly. The cards are easy to set up when hiring a new employee and the app makes it easy on them to use the card.

As a company Manager, I have dealt with many companies and fleet companies. Coast has one of the highest levels of customers service and told. I highly recommend them!!

Pros

When I initially was looking for a better Fleet company for our business, Coast was listed as one of the top 5 picks. I defiantly can see why, because they have great customer service. The platform is easy to manage, the tracking is amazing. The security level on my fleet cards are the most important to me. they allow me to set perimeters and if my techs go out the perimeter I get emails and text messages instantly!! There was not much of a learning curve, very easy to learn! I can get a specialized report on each driver, and expense management reports. they have easy bank account management set up to pay invoices etc. Highly recommended best value for your money.

Cons

I have to say, everything has been great over the years. I have not had any complaints with this company.

We use Coast for fuel cards across our pest control vehicles and have been very happy with the switch. After moving over from WEX, we haven’t looked back. The platform is straightforward, the support team is responsive, the rebates make a real difference, and the Samsara API integration allows us to closely monitor and control exactly who is using each card — adding a great layer of accountability for our fleet.

Pros

Wonderful customer support, intuitive and easy-to-use application, amazing rebates that help save money on fuel costs, and the ability to strictly monitor card usage through a Samsara API integration — giving you full control over who is using the cards and when.

Cons

Honestly, the only issue we ran into was the api integration with net suite. It took some time to set it up, but that’s more of a con of net suite in my opinion.

We have been using Coast for a month, and all is well, in fact exceeding our expectations from implementation to user friendliness and reporting.

Pros

Ability to assign cards to individuals vs vehicles, abilities to set limits to different groups and products, and reporting.

Cons

Nothing...wish I got Coast sooner! The vetting and credit line increase took a little longer than I would have liked, but in the end it all worked out just fine.

We were looking for a solution we could implement quickly since our Universal Premium cards stopped working and Universal Premium could not figure out how to fix them. They got us our cards within a few days and we haven't had any issues. Everyone who has used it has said it's an improvement over the traditional fuel cards we had been using. It's convenient any card can be used on any vehicle.

Pros

Controls are easy to set up, flexible spending categories, convenient integrations, and best in class customer service and UX.

Cons

The notification settings are not configurable by role so you either get all or none of the notifications, even things irrelevant to managing the daily card usage. For example, our supervisors get bill paid notifications when our accounting team pays the monthly invoice.

We are very happy with the Coast fuel card. I am so glad I found this card for our tow truck drivers. Have had no issues since we have been using them for the last 3 or 4 years. My drivers find this very easy and like the fact they can stop in anywhere and get fuel.

Pros

We like the flexibility of the card, the wide choices for drivers to stop at for fuel or any of our other truck needs. I like the ease of the website, the reports are so easy to follow and reconcile to each week.

Cons

Honestly I have not found anything that I do not like about Coast. The employees at Coast are very prompt with feedback and answering emails and quesitons.

Extraordinary. After finding this site and getting us set up it has allowed for better financial tracking. Customer Service is always responsive to any questions.

Pros

Coast has been a game changer for our business. Our maintenance team is able to secure items needed for any and all jobs as well as purchase gas and meals. The site is extremely secure which is an essential to us. The system itself is so easy to use, I get all reports necessary and documentation for each purchase is another feature that has allowed for better tracking. Drivers love it as does our account payables team. The value for money is another feature. We are getting better information on costs for jobs, drivers and other expenses. There is no learning curve it is a very simple system to use. We don't use it for travel booking.

Cons

I honestly can't say there is one thing that is lacking in Coast. I wish I could come up with anything to say that I like least but that is just not going to happen. The time it has saved us is immeasurable.

Over all, we love Coast. We love the customer service and their efficiency. No other fuel card company has compared with Coast, on many levels. Can't go wrong choosing Coast for your fuel needs, etc.

Pros

We like the flexibility to use the card anywhere for purchases beyond gas and vehicle maintenance. We like the text nofications when a transaction is suspicious. We like the help we receive from customer service. We like that we receive 1% back on all purchases.

Cons

What we like least is we haven't been given an increase on our LOC in over two years, even with an excellent payment history. What we like least is the portal isn't the easiest to manipulate when it comes to pulling reports. What we like least is email and text notifications being sent out to all people listed under administration. This should be a selective list only of who receives any payment related notifications.

Overall, our company switched to Coast from another large fuel management system back in December 2023. Since then, I feel our fuel program has greatly improved and been much easier to manage.

Pros

Super easy to set up drivers, rules, and navigate the website. Support was excellent when we had questions too!

Cons

Not a fan of the point system change and having to apply them to the bill, liked it better when the discount was instantly applied.

Coast is easy to use and available when needed. The customer service is really good when you can explain yourself. It would be better if you could make it easier to access the different apps you have.

Pros

We really like the tracking and text and email notifications. The system is well secured and easy for our drivers to use.

Cons

Some applications are confusing to use and understood. We are not aware of many things available through coast.

The Coast card makes tracking and submittal of my reciepts super easy. I am able to instantly submit my reciepts to our office, which makes it difficult to forget or submit the reciepts late.

Pros

I like te convenience of having reciepts emailed directly upon use of the card. This cuts back on my office time sinificantly.

Cons

I can't find anything that I didn't like about using the Coast card. It is exactly the same as using any credit card.

5 star for Coast the best I have used in 40 years in the trucking business. The last company we had major fraud issues, but I feel it is almost impossible in the Coast System.

Pros

Best corporate card in the business. Easy to use and I love the safety feature. We switched three months ago and the billing and the way you can see your purchases as they come into your email. Our drivers use this card daily with no issues. Glad we made the change

Cons

Compared to who was using this card and system Coast crushes everyone. The biggest issue is usually the driver putting in the code the wrong way. They get confused with putting in zero as an "0"

Pros

I like the fast support I always get when I have a question. Our employees being able to use company cards as easy as possible.

Cons

Connecting Coast with QB Desktop looks like difficult I tried to do it but I will probably need to schedule a video meeting with coast support to do this.

Amazing. Everyone is so friendly and informative. Whenever I have a question, the agents over the phone, email, & our direct representative.

Pros

So many card features that prevent theft. Paired with Samsara I have been able to catch thieves within the company thus cracking down on fuel theft.

Cons

I wish there was a customer service phone number printed on the card. Without that our employees call us for assistance with the card.
