### "Outstanding fuel card program that's easy to use and highly customizable"

Overall, I am very pleased with the accessibility and support from our designated Coast reps, the program is largely easy to use, and we are already seeing savings due to the larger network of fuel vendors and the better rebates per purchase. Plus as we roll out our fleet management program with Merchants and utilize Samsara for our GPS and video monitoring, we have an active ecosystem of driver safety and accountability.

Pros

Simplicity and functionality wrapped up into a great app and program for handling my organization's fuel purchases in the field. Also love how it is compatible with Samsara for asset tracking and accountability of driver purchase behaviors and mileage tracking. Security settings are easy to customize and can be changed at any time.

Cons

Utilization of the app has been a little tricky for some technicians - sometimes there is confusion on checking into the app before trying to pump, which inadvertently locks technicians out of the system.

I can't complain. Coast was easy to transition into and setup. It's easy to navigate through the account and the app and maintain and monitor spending.

Pros

Coast was very easy to transition into using. It integrates into systems that we currently have in place, such as our GPS's in our company vehicles, making it more efficient to monitor fuel usage and spending.

Cons

There were minor issues once we got setup, but quickly learned that is was not Coast's issue, it was stemming from the merchant directly.

Pros

I didn’t like Coast. “Coast approved my application and took all my information, but after that I couldn’t get anyone to call me back. I left multiple messages, spoke to a representative who promised a return call, and still never heard from them. The lack of follow‑through and customer service was unacceptable.”

Cons

“I didn’t have a good experience with Coast. I was approved, but after that I never heard back. I called multiple times, left messages, and still got no response. After 37 years in business, I can tell when a company isn’t reliable. WEX has always been the better, more professional option.”

Overall I have not had any issues, other than what I mentioned above.

Pros

All of the companies gas fees and charges are in one place, and we can track mileage. Payments are easy, the website is user friendly for setting up or removing employees access. Getting additional cards, as we expand, has never been an issue.

Cons

If the employee pays inside the store for gas I usually get an email stating they used the wrong fuel type. I would also like to see the actual location the gas was purchased, not the HQ location.

Our company has had a very positive experience with Coast, and it was a seamless transition from our previous fuel card vendor. All of our active drivers are currently utilizing the program. We see a tremendous amount of value in the product!

Pros

The Coast fuel card program is very user friendly and our staff like it. It provides flexibility for our users as we have employees that do not drive the same vehicle each day. In addition, Coast has much better reporting than our previous fuel card vendor. This provides management with better data on overall fuel usage and costs by driver. In addition, Coast has some unique controls that can be put in place to help mitigate fuel theft. Overall, we have been very happy with Coast.

Cons

Quite honestly there is really nothing that stands out that has caused our company a pain point. The software is very user friendly and it is very easy to implement.

We moved our fleet card program over from Speedway. Speedway did not offer the same level of reporting that Coast does. We also liked the flexibility provided by the Coast cards as they could be distributed to drivers. The text based platform that is provided by Coast was also a big factor as well.

### "Upgrade from traditional fuel cards"

We were looking for a solution we could implement quickly since our Universal Premium cards stopped working and Universal Premium could not figure out how to fix them. They got us our cards within a few days and we haven't had any issues. Everyone who has used it has said it's an improvement over the traditional fuel cards we had been using. It's convenient any card can be used on any vehicle.

Pros

Controls are easy to set up, flexible spending categories, convenient integrations, and best in class customer service and UX.

Cons

The notification settings are not configurable by role so you either get all or none of the notifications, even things irrelevant to managing the daily card usage. For example, our supervisors get bill paid notifications when our accounting team pays the monthly invoice.

Overall Pleased with Coast from a Fleet Director standpoint. Love the interrogation with Samsara to alert if a vehicle is far away from the fueling location. The ability to use the card at any gas station is a great safety net.

Pros

Easy of Use in switching between cards / vehicles. Useful Dashboard for managing vehicles / users.

Cons

Some interrogations with other software can over ride settings if setup incorrectly.

Pros

The Coast system is user friendly for the administrator on the web platform and the driver's as end users when fueling. The customer service support is also good.

Cons

The reporting piece on the web platform can be a little cumbersome and challenging to create custom reports.

awesome! we've tried a few other fleet programs and they're all terrible! coast really helped alleviate a lot of my fleet spending stress.

Pros

flexibility of card use locations and gives us a lot of control over different classes of employee drivers.

Cons

i struggled to come up w/ an answer. it's minor, but I guess I'd like to schedule payments for a specific date.

Yep gmail was the alternative product - eyeroll - lol! Alternatives we actually considered were: Fuelman, Speedway, Sheetz, Wex, etc... We landed on coast b/c easy signup process, low maintenance fees and friendly customer service

Better than I expected. In the beginning not everything was open but now everything is open and moving smoothly.

Pros

As a company we use Costco for fuel because they are cheaper across the board. Coast is one of the few cards accepted by Costco, and we get an additional discount per gallon. A no brainer.

Cons

I will let you know when I find it. I can't think of anything I would call the least.

From my initial inquiry to implementation to the few issues I have needed support with, the Coast Team has been awesome.

Pros

Coast is accepted everywhere, we receive cash back on purchases, customizable for what purchases it can be used for.

Cons

The con to this point has been occasional glitches with the Coast/ Samsara integration. But when needed it was easily worked around.

The coast onboarding experience and was simple and pleasant. All the employees we’ve interacted with at Coast have been a joy and extremely supportive.

Pros

Coast has really helped us get our fleet spending on track and organized as well as under control! The customer service and perks with Coast are legendary and like no other competitor I’ve found offers. Highly recommended!

Cons

The reporting for mileage isn’t as easy to read as I’d like for maintenance on vehicles.

It’s been great, Coast has really served us well from all aspects. Even when we hit a financial low point, and got a little behind, they still worked with us to get us caught back up and back active.

Pros

I like the budget feature with the virtual cards. We have some great ideas for using that feature and once we can get our credit limit up more we will set them in action!

Cons

Didn't really find downsides of the system. The only thing is would like more loyalty perks, such as fuel discounts at partner gas stations, or some king of points to be collected, which can be spent on some rewards

I love using Coast. The clarity with the desktop Dashboard integrated with Google maps is great! Weekly email reports in Monday morning makes it simple to track our fuel spending! Also, continual promos with gas stations helps us save $!

Pros

We love how you can have the cards function as a fleet gas card only for some team members while also allowing other cards to function as standard credit cards. We also really like the level of control we have within our system. We can allow anyone, of only a few people the ability to request approval for a transaction that is outside the allowed parameters, whether that's the spending limit, time limit, or even a category that's not allowed.

Cons

Currently, coast does not integrate with Quickbooks Desktop. This means we need to enter each transaction individually until that integration is finished. Also, we would love to have a way for someone to request preapproval for a category or transaction instead of always needing to first have the transaction declined before they can request approval for an override.

Overall, our experience has been great. Approval was fast, cards shipped quickly, and we were able to get our drivers up and going immediately. Being able to uniquely control fuel purchases as well as other categories (like parking) has been a game changer for our workflows.

Pros

Coast is a modern, mobile friendly fuel and fleet purchasing card. We are able to control not only fuel spend, but other merchant categories that our drivers may need to use the card for. The Dashboard and UI are intuitive and easy to use. Changes to policies or transaction limits can be made real time and allow us to adapt to our drivers' needs

Cons

We don't have any complaints with Coast so far. They have been upfront about what their platform could and couldn't do and have rolled out updates to in response to our feedback

Great! would recommend to any company that is looking for a card to use only for gas.

Pros

Fast to setup and the customer support that was readily available if I needed anything while setting up our fuel management cards for our employees/vans. I like that I can opt for text alerts when cards are used and also the account dashboard is easy to understand. Love that I can set parameters on when the cards can be used to help offset the chance an employee would use it for personal reasons. Also, that the card can only be used at a pump.

Cons

So far, I have no complaints. We have only had a few issues in where the card wouldn't process at the pump - but I think that was user error or the pump itself.

Reason for choosing Coast

I could set parameters and it was not an open ended credit card that could be used anywhere.
