It's also really helpful that the guys get prompted for the receipt right away, so no more counting on them to retain the receipt safely for a week. The app is super simple to use and the guys like that they can leave the cards in their trucks without having to worry about misplacing them with their wallets. Cons There hasn't been anything that we haven't liked. They make it easy too get set up and get started.. The security provided by the use of SMS texting confirmation has been great. I especially like the API integration with our fleet GPS system with allows us to track fuel usage with milage and really see where there might be places for improvement while keeping us alert to possible fraud. The alerts are customizable and really helpful, especially when you consider the real-time alerts that allow me to react and address an issue right away. We run two companies off Coast fuel cards and I can do that with just one log in. It is easy to navigate between each one to see the dashboard or run reports specific to that company. Pros When I was looking for a new fuel card for our fleet, I needed a card that was secure, flexible and one that could integrate with our other fleet applications. The Coast fuel card hit all the marks. It is very easy to add new users and remove old ones. A card is not active until the driver activates it so if one is lost or stolen, there is no chance of it being used by an unauthorized person. I find the Coast portal easy to navigate. Getting useful reports is easy to set up and export. Cons There have been communication outages in the Coast fuel system that prevent our drivers from fueling up because they cannot get the confirmation text. The platform is easy to use, the cards work well for our business needs, and managing employee spending is simple and straightforward. It has made tracking and controlling our fuel expenses much easier, and I have been very satisfied with the service overall. Pros Coast is extremely easy to use and makes managing company fuel expenses much more efficient. The ability to control spending, track purchases in real time, and manage cards from one place saves us a lot of administrative time. It also gives us much better visibility and control over our fuel expenses compared to traditional gas cards. Cons One downside is that some account owner information cannot be updated directly through the platform. For example, I am unable to change my phone number myself and have to contact Coast support to have it updated. It would be much more convenient if account owners could securely update their own contact information online. We switched from using a house account at one gas station, and the difference has been huge. It's more convenient for our employees, it saves the office several hours every month, and we have a much clearer view of our fuel spending without manually creating fuel reports or chasing down receipts. Overall, it's made managing our fleet fuel purchases a lot simpler. Pros Coast has saved us several hours every month. Our guys can stop at just about any gas station instead of being tied to one location, which has been much more convenient. We also don't have to collect and organize paper gas receipts anymore. We pay every two weeks which is for us better than paying once a month. Pros It is really easy to make reports, export them into excel, and manipulate the data.
