I will keep using Mem, but I plan to use Reflect as my Zettelkasten for the books and articles I read. I might use it for personal journal writing. Pros As a user of Reflect, I find it an impressive tool for journaling and note-taking. Its Daily Notes feature makes it easy for me to open the app and start writing without any friction. I appreciate the outliner editor for brainstorming and writing in incomplete thoughts. The AI integration sets it apart, providing unique features that streamline my writing process. The voice notes feature is particularly useful, allowing me to capture thoughts quickly and effortlessly, reducing the need for extensive typing. The automatic backlinking feature is another standout aspect of Reflect. It organizes and connects my thoughts to enhance my review process, giving me a holistic view of related content. The ability to import Kindle highlights directly into the app is a game-changer, saving me the hassle of manual copying and pasting. While it doesn't generate AI Chat content like Mem, Reflect's AI does an excellent job of revising and formatting my text, making my writing more polished and concise. The user interface is intuitive and user-friendly, making navigation a breeze. Overall, Reflect has proven to be a robust tool for my journaling and note-taking needs. Its innovative AI features and seamless integration into my workflow make it a valuable part of my productivity toolkit. Cons The app doesn't have a smart chat feature like Mem and lacks a database feature like Tana. Furthermore, as of this writing, the app's iPhone version needs improvement, and it could benefit from a native iPad app for a more seamless user experience across devices. I think that someone with this habit could thrive. I also think that if Reflect added some guidance and training a newcomer could thrive. Pros I liked that I could leverage the power of the internet in my journaling. Back links were incredibly helpful for referencing thoughts later. Cons I'm not a journaler by nature. It's a habit I'd like to establish but don't practice. So while I like the concept of an integrated and connected journal/second brain, I felt I was at a disadvantatage because I wasn't already a journaler. I think that someone with this habit could thrive. I also think that if Reflect added some guidance and training a newcomer could thrive. I've been a huge Apple Notes fan but it misses a lot of functionality needed for a PKM or "second brain". Reflect does it all, and so well! Pros Very easy to use and the performance is phenomenal. They carefully add each feature, so everything is fantastic. If you like Evernote/Apple Notes, you'll love this even more. Cons The company is young so their iphone app is still in Testflight. Works quite well though. Not free but I'm fine paying for a notes app Ilove.
