Customer support for issues with printers & scaling is horrid... If the drivers for your printer are available it is 100% the best on the market. Pros The best full design abilities of any program on the market. Easy to use presets for special effects. Massive font library. Cons I can't get it to print to our Mutoh Valuejet machines. Customer support is seriously lacking and in the newer versions I can't find the scale adaptions to get prints to scale correctly, in the older version there was a menu where you could easily make tweaks to get things printing properly. Owner- operator Marketing and Advertising Used the software for: 2+ years ### "I LOVE VINYL MASTER " July 18, 2026 2.0 I absolutely love vinylmaster in my opinion iv used every software from adobe illustrator, flexisign, efi firey, mutlicam, dos, coral. And this is one of the easiest cutting softwares on the market hands down and i have worked on every machine its not a summa but if you really know machines and how to operatrle them it can run like a summa. Pros 1\. Absolutely love the auto trace feature with the registration marks specifically the code bar i feel its superb in making accurate plots. makes it extremely easy to make a dieline for plot graphics. 2. I like how i can redownload my version whenever something happens makes it extremely easy to re apply the software. 3. I like how easy it is to caliberate the machine with the pen tool feature to get the line up and registration as accurate as possible. (hope you extend a learning video with a little more deapth on setup for) Cons Most of these are just things i wish i had in the program not really a con.. 1. Redesign same cutfile after you setup and add the cut file. Sometimes infind it difficult to have recreate a whole new file just because i need to adjust the line and choke the offset -.03 just a little to my liking. Wish we can adjust old cut files when we like. 2. Wish there was a way when i have to make custom plotted lines in adobe to overlay graphics that have bleed within the art to cut within the color bounding but no real way to set up my file into VM to make it work. I try to bring it in peefectly overlay on the art and try to wizard the line but it doest register my line only the otside art work. Not sure if im doing something incorrect. 3. Dont really like the random zooming with the mouse toggle sometimes makes it hard to recenter the art work after you accidentally zoomed to oblivion. (Maybe a a feature where thats a toggle in the task bar and adjust but click and hold button up and down ). 4. A hold page hot key like adobe where you can hold the space bar then click hold the mouse to navigate around the artwork a little more effectively. Review Source JL Justin L. But if it is not, they have tons of documentation and tutorials. I needed it for a job that I had due the next day and it was a breeze to setup and use. Pros The price of the license for what you get was great. Tons of tools, even in the lowest beginner level. Cons Would have liked to see "Step & Repeat and Array Tools" included in the 'CUT' version. Pros It’s simple to use and user friendly. Coming from CorelDraw and now using vinyl master is awesome. It’s my go to when designing or needing to cut for vinyl pressing or decals. I use my VinylMaster program for my laser machine especially when the artwork is a difficult one. Cons Only con I have regarding VinylMaster is that I can’t afford the other higher packages lol. We started out with their basic plan and a very basic Chinese cutter and became very profitable in a short amount of time, we have since upgraded plans and use a Summa cutter and it’s the perfect software for us. As soon as I ditched ArtCut and went with VinylMaster cuts are clean 99% of the time, and weeding times are now reduced by atleast 75% that alone makes up for the one off cost of VinylMaster Cons The initial cost put me off but after using it I soon realised it was actually saving me money in the long run. The program is great value for money. Would highly recommend. Pros I have been using Vinyl Master since taking over our business back in 2010. Not coming from a graphic background I have found Vinyl Master to be very user friendly and easy to use. I do limited vinyl work but it have been able to navigate this area.
