I load and start on the left side of my cutter, but in the software, it all shows as the right side of the cutter. It cuts fine but throws me off, can't find any setting to fix this yet, but will not import Roland cut files, have to start from scratch Review Source JS John S. It is always ready to take on any project I come up with. Built in graphics and imported graphics is no problem. Challenged myself a few times but I have always been able to do what I needed. Pros Vinyl Master Made me nervous at first but I quickly found out it was very easy to use and had so many options built in. Found my vinyl cutter right away. I bought it to do signs on my box truck at a 1/4 the price of sign shop. I started doing some signs for grandkids school projects and now the grandkids make their own. They love using it and mixing colors in it too. The software price was very well worth the purchase. Graphic creation is so easy with Vinyl Master. The connection to the cutter is traight forward and easy to follow. I make yard signs and other small projects with it. Always a use for the software. I use to have a metal cutting plasma business and made signs. Now some items with my Ender 6 3D printer like plaques and kids trophies and label them with the vinyl cutter. Customer support has been great. I have had to call a couple times but problem is always solved quickly. Shamefully, problems were of my own fault. I have had to upgrade my cutter twice but software keeps going even though 1 day, I will have to upgrade to get the new features in Vinyl Master. It is an AWESOME program. Cons I can't think of the cons other than the upgrades aren't automatic and free. The price of the software is well worth what I paid for it anyway! Pros What I like most about VinylMaster is the ease of setting up cut files, allowing me to separate by colors and use two tools at the same time. On my Skycut Dual Head D48, I can apply scoring and cutting simultaneously without stopping the machine to change tools, which greatly increases productivity. Another big advantage is the contour cut creation process: it is intuitive and precise, making it easy to generate cut lines even when clients send artwork without vector cut files. On top of that, I can control three different plotters from different brands in a single software, with direct integration, production‑specific tools, precise alignment, and broad file compatibility. Pros You can't beat the features for the price. I have been using VinylMaster software for several years. I switched from top of the line, expensive software to VinylMaster and comparing the two, VinylMaster is hands-down, worth every penny. It has all the features at less than half the price. And... there no dongle key to keep up with. I open the program, design and cut. No problems...ever! Cons I can't think of anything I don't like about the software. It does what it says, it's stable, and the value over time has been hard to beat. No regrets — would buy again. Pros We run the full VinylMaster package and it's been the backbone of our cutting and design work for over three years. In that time we've put out 30,000+ decals through it without it ever being the bottleneck. The vinyl cutting and contour cut features are dead reliable, it talks to our cutter cleanly every time, and the design tools cover everything we need — vectorizing, text layout, weeding lines, the works. The one-time license instead of a monthly subscription is a big deal for us too. You buy it, you own it. Cons The interface looks a little dated compared to newer design apps, and there's a learning curve up front if you're coming from something else. Once you're past that first week or two it's second nature, but it's worth knowing going in. I have upgraded from light to the top version now I'm printing and find the all in one element is a huge bonus. Pros I like the fact that its an all in one design, cut a print programme. I find Illustrator very technical and then having to send your image to another programme to print is time consuming so having it all in one is fantastic. I would like the option to be able to grab your work and pull and manipulate its shape about to give a more creative style and help mould into vehicle panels etc. Very happy with the programme and will continue to use as I have for around the last 5 years or so. Cons Could do with more options to manipulate your artwork, so a tool that alows you to grab it and pull it around to create a different look. Pros Way back in December 1999, I elected to leave my job at a graphics company to start my own business and I have never looked back. I made the jump from FlexiSign ($$$$) to VMP ($$). 25 years later I have nothing but good to say about this software. It does all I need it for and so much more. I am able to produce vinyl graphics and also produce artwork for digital printing. I have done everything from sandblast resist to 2 mil vinyl for police/fire vehicles. All done with confidence...and VMP. So, thank you from being that Yank who was able to bridge the english language gap/time zone difference, to make my business successful! Cons Initially, it was the lack of real-time help. And the language barrier, especially with fonts. What I was used to calling a certain font (say, Helvetica) was now Arial, etc. And in the early days, when I had an issue, I would have to wait for the folks in Australia to respond and we are time zones apart! Since then, if I have a need, I just Google Youtube/VMP. Switched from [Powerfleet](https://www.capterra.com/p/266387/PowerFleet/) I did NOT find what I switched from, FlexiSign Pro. So I picked one randomly. My boss was shutting down his business and he gave me lots of equipment but no sign software. I can take a customer’s logo, clean it up, convert it to vector if needed, set up cut lines, and send it straight to production without bouncing between different programs. It’s been a good value for the price and makes creating decals, signs, and branding materials pretty straightforward. There was a little bit of a learning curve at first, but once I got used to it, my workflow became a lot faster and more efficient. Cons What I liked least about VinylMaster is that the interface feels a bit dated and not always intuitive, especially when you’re first getting started. Some of the tools are buried in menus that take time to figure out, and it can slow you down until you really learn where everything is. It also doesn’t feel as smooth or “polished” as some of the higher-end design software out there, and importing certain customer files can take extra cleanup work depending on the format. The learning curve is definitely real, especially if you’re coming from more mainstream design programs. Overall it gets the job done, but it can feel a little clunky in spots. Not coming from a graphic background I have found Vinyl Master to be very user friendly and easy to use. I do limited vinyl work but it have been able to navigate this area. It is far more user friendly than other programs I have tried, and I highly recommend it. If I ever get stuck on something, I just find one of the videos in the help menu to explain how to do what I need and I'm off and running. Pros I use VinylMaster for graphic creations that support our school, the theatre department, and my classroom. My students love seeing their names on locker magnets, set designs, and awards. It's easy to design and cut or print for our wide variety of needs. Cons I wish there was a more searchable menu for all of the built-in graphics rather than having to search through each of the folders looking for a specific item.
