My overall experience with Olive has been excellent. The software is intuitive, efficient, and has significantly streamlined our business processes. The customer support is also exceptional, making it a pleasure to work with Olive.

Pros

I loved the user-friendly interface and the comprehensive features that Capterra Olive offers. It made managing our business processes effortlessly efficient.

Cons

While Capterra Olive has many great features, I found the pricing to be a bit on the higher side compared to similar software options in the market.

Pros

I like the multi-level Weighting and Rating, the Collaboration, the fact you avoid hours of unnecessary meetings.

Cons

The UI was not always ideal, but it is improving all the time.

We were looking for a software package and needed the ability to solicit vendor responses. This tool provides an easy way to see responses from vendors on how well they match / meet the requirement. They can ask questions and we could easily respond. Vendors didn't know who we were until Olive set up an introduction meeting with our finalists.

Pros

Able to interact with Vendors without them knowing who we were.Easy to see responses, ask questions, rate responses.

Cons

Needed some help getting going. \[sensitive content hidden\] was great helping out.In the version we used, getting requirements out of the system were easy as an Excel export. Uploading them was a little confusing at first. This functionality has probably been improved since we last used the product.

Excellent. After subscribing, it was quick to set up. One live session with a customer success manager got us up and fully functional with our first project. We used Olive over about five months of ERP+ requirements gathering and solution evaluation. Now we're using it to track implementation of the requirements, and expect it to help track testing.We're also using Olive for other projects with sets of requirements and multiple solutions to evaluate and compare, such as service providers.

Pros

Olive provides a well organized tool to capture project information and especially requirements. Our selection of an ERP and related systems included nearly 700 requirements. We had several users enter and weight the requirements, in a dozen categories. Communication with candidate solution providers was greatly facilitated, avoiding back-&-forth emails and spreadsheets. As we received solution responses, it was easy and flexible to compare solutions across the board and in specific areas. All of the responding vendors indicated they appreciated the streamlined process.Customer support is good -- responsive, flexible, creative.The application requirements templates are helpful -- provide a good set to build on.

Cons

The Olive team continues to build out the knowledge base, which will help new users.

Reasons for choosing Olive

Much more efficient. Substantial reduction in PM and team member time to gather and manage requirements and vendor responses.

We really like using Olive but once we are beyond a selection process, we don't utilize the system much and it sits static.

Pros

We use Olive for vendor selection and it works great. We are able to put our own requirements in and use the compare feature across multiple vendors.

Cons

Sharing the requirements with the vendor can be a bit complicated. There is a learning curve to using this system. We had really good customer support though to help with the learning.

We liked the Olive price the best.
