Pros The thing I like the most about D5 Render is it has a very user-friendly interface, and all feature settings are self-explanatory. There are a lot of short training videos on specific tasks or functions. It only took a couple of short videos before I could start rendering. Cons The trial period was not enough time for me to decide on this. It is likely that some configurable aspects are needed, but I do not doubt that they will be incorporated in updates. Pros Having easy tools, a friendly interface and surprising results, you just have to understand what you want to do and the program allows you to do it. Cons I think what could be improved is related to the 3D models of the vegetation, in quality and variety. Cons Usually it presents some bugs, we had learn that most of them are because of a Hardware issue or Drivers. D5 is constantly release hotfix updates to solve their problems. Hoping it will make a difference in the testing and I'd be able to acquire a license to add to our pipeline. Pros Twinmotion was a go to software for realtime renderings an year back, but after D5 was released I was really surprised at the ease of use of the software and its features which are such an asset to any architectural visualization requirements. I've been using various software like Vray and Corona for very long but D5 changes it completely with the new approach. Pros The exquisite and captivating renderings that you are able to produce with this program using just a fraction of the time it takes in other similar 3d rendering programs Cons So far I've enjoyed every aspect of D5, and I would say unlike sketchup I don't feel as though you can use D5 to model objects... even something like a shaggy rug. But I know at this time it is probably just due to my limited knowledge of the program, and I'm sure the more I get into it, I will figure out how to accomplish such tasks. Pros The feature that stands out is the quality of the output. In my opinion is the most realistic real-time renderer. Also, it has a simple and easy-to-use interface a good prop library and a good implementation of HDRI illumination. Cons The lack of possibility to tune for render quality (i.e. samples). That can make the experience frustrating for the ones with less capable video cards. Also, it cannot use the maximum from the high-end video-cards and users had to use workarounds (such as rendering at higher resolutions) to improve the quality. The most useful soflware render i ever use Pros The D5 covert bring me to the D5 render 2 years ago,but in that time i only use D5 convert when looking for 3dsmax model to sketchup with Vantage and Enscape .When D5 2.5 release i was surprised ,all that i need from soflware render are in D5 render,it can use 3dmax model,real time render,easy control lights,environment,texture,quick render screen or video in a minutes as Enscape with much more quality . Cons When import model convert from 3dmax or Sketchup it cannot explore group to hide or delete a part of model . I'm still figuring things out but, I think I will use D5 more because these realtime renderings do save lots of time. Pros The most important part is the real-time rendering. And the interior lightings are way better than I expected. Also, the assets library is super cool, specially my favorites are trees and plants since I'm more into the exteriors. Cons Still the exteriors bit more artificial to me. When you see the exterior architect rendering you can feel that natural feel is missing from it. May be the lighting, but however exterior renderings are a bit artificial.
