Pros As an investigative journalist tracking trans-nation criminal networks, I fine Import Yeti to be absolutely invaluable. On at least three different occasions I've been able to quickly access data that tracks shipments of goods all the way back to international suppliers of questionable repute. While I am not always working on stories that expose supply chains, when I do Import Yet is often my first stop. Cons Sometimes I find the user interface a little difficult to navigate, and am not sure what search terms will best bring out the data that I really want to access. There are so many different ways to visualize information that sometimes the one that I actually need is difficult to locate. As I started my brand, I needed to find reliable manufacturers, and this platform made that process much easier. The detailed data helped me connect with factories that truly fit my needs. It’s not just about finding suppliers; it’s about finding the right ones. I really appreciate how straightforward and informative the platform is. Pros The platform has a huge database, which made it easier for me to find manufacturers that actually fit what I was looking for. The insights are really detailed, like seeing shipment histories and product info. It saved me a ton of time and provieded me with super usefull info. Cons Some of the more detailed features require a subscription. After you find the company its hard to get the contact info at least in the free version. August 26, 2024 5.0 Import Yeti is amazing. I have been trying to find a company in China I could trust to make dog wipes for me. I wanted to see where my competitors were having theirs made because I know they source from trusted 3rd party manufacturers. I was able to find their factories so I could source for my own website and now I don't have to worry about any harmful chemicals. It has also saved me tons of money in having to do R&D. Available info is great in itself, but when I was looking for additional help, I was able to get HELPFUL, PERSONALIZED support (through email with a <24 hour turn around... this is almost unheard of.) Can't recommend it enough. Pros As someone who started with ZERO contacts in the supplier world... this is totally god sent. It levels out the playing field and gave me access to supplier contacts - all from my laptop, while sitting on a chair. Being able to filter for countries, types of garments produced, types of brands they produce products for helps me not only narrow down who to contact, but plan out operational efficiency. Cons Some contact infos are missing but this is expected for infos coming from the Bill of Lading. The current available infos provide a good enough foundation for you to do additional research yourselves. It still cuts the time you spend looking for suppliers by at least 50%. It has allowed me to give pinpoint accurate service to my customers. Pros The fact that such important data is made easily accesible either natively or via API is far more important than people realise. Not only is logistics 12 % of the world's GDP but we currently throw away up to 30% to 40% of all the food we produce in the supply chain and therefor supply chain management has become so important. Between the customer experience, the cost, the completeness of the tool, and the ease of getting what I was after pretty quickly, I found this to be helpful. Pros I was looking for potential suppliers in a target industry for my startup, and like most startups, I didn't have a ton to spend on BI and due diligence. Boy, did I find a gold mine in ImportYeti! I was able to access shipping manifests for many players in my target industry, which immediately revealed potential suppliers I could contact. I especially loved the features that allows one to see a company's suppliers, and to see the companies that then work with that supplier. I found the pages to be generally easy to follow. Finally, \[sensitive content hidden\] reached out to me directly for support, which was really cool.
