Hands down the best website that I have used in all my careers. I will continue to use in the future if I get a similar role, but this is one of the best sites that I recommend for any procurement role. Many exporter/importer mentioned ImportYeti in different social medias. I love it once i found it. The data is easy to check. Security is not an issue and the database was consistently updated. I tried many other data sources but none of them had the comprehensive and complete datasets that ImportYeti has nor any of them kept constantly up-to-date with recent transactions. I couldn't have done my research without the support of ImportYeti and would recommend it to anyone in academia, industry, or government interested in learning about how our supply chains operate - from supply chain resiliency to risk diversification to predictive forecasting of supply chain bottlenecks, you can use ImportYeti to make those strategy and critical decisions for your organization. Pros There are so many things to like about ImportYeti including but not limited to: - The data is constantly updated (every two weeks or so, I think) - The user interface is generally easy to use and navigate - The power query feature makes it easy to find exactly the data that you are looking for - They have an API to systematically query the data (although I have not used it yet) Cons A few minor issues with the platform (which the ImportYeti team is quick to respond to any requests for help): - Downloading data is clunky (my version restricted downloads to 25,000 rows at a time) - Power query can be buggy at times requiring multiple tries to get the exact right query I'm looking for (could just be user error on my end!) The recent changes too are welcomed and add to the overall quality of the user experience Pros ImportYeti has allowed me to easily keep track of the trading pattern of several companies. This has been helpful from a non commercial, research-based perspective. One of the key things is the trade relationships table/chart that ImportYeti allows you to view. This feature automatically helps you to see the logistics chain that impacts the companies you research at a glance. Cons So far the most annoying thing was waiting for the monthly updates. " October 13, 2025 5.0 I use platform to find where brands source their supplements from before I purchase them. For example, I found that a lot of overpriced popular brands source their ingredients from China, and we have no quality control over that. Yesterday, I found that a company that claims to sell fresh and healthy Alaskan omega-3 pills really buys Freeze Dried Bovine Liver Powder, and last shipment was years ago. I do the same with food brands, cosmetics and clothing. Pros Easy to check information if you have the legal entity / business name. For larger brand names it’s easier to search. Cons So far so good, can’t complain. I’d like to be able to organize and save my search results and companies. Maybe see some reviews / ratings on manufacturers that supply products. It might help small brands to make a decision on purchase. Also, local brand contact info would be great to have. Pros I found importyeti on accident as I was looking for suppliers, and the immediate ease of use surprised me. I am not in the logistics industry so I didn’t realize how unusual this was until I tried to use other similar sites and was immediately lost. Importyeti is simple to learn and use, and gives you all the relevant information I needed. The pro feature lets you search across the importyeti database for specific items you are looking for and suppliers who provide and companies that import. Overall very positive experience and I will continue using their site. I don’t have current use for the pro version but if I was in the industry it would be a no brainer to subscribe to it.
