But I never got the chance to use them because we never try to import anything until now. - What struck me the second time was the support I got from \[sensitive content hidden\]. When you work in customer service department, you know how valuable it is to have a founder provide you with the support. And I'm just a new user. Pros \- Easy to use- Incredible support from the founder. You don't get that these days- Even though the data is public, making it useable for customers is the challenge, which they did. Cons \- I have not had issue so far. I would love to try the power query feature and update my review accordingly. Just takes a little longer deciphering through all of the overwhelming data. Pros That it’s free. It throws a lot of data at your and has a huge data base. Cons I find that the structure of the data thrown at the computer monitor is a little overwhelming. I know the task would be hard but if they could find a way to make that less overwhelming that would be great! The entire platform is very user-friendly and visually appealing while not compromising on quality in the least. More than anything the \[sensitive content hidden\] will personally respond to any feedback or suggestions you share, which is really a pleasant surprise. Great value for money, even the free trial offers a fair amount of features. Altogether, it's a no brainer utilizing Import Yeti and I would highly recommend to any and everyone! Cons Try make it expand to more than the US market. I recognize this is a fundamental shift from the existing data but it will really expand the scope and usage of Import Yeti to an even broader audience. They are able to provide most of the information that you would seek about the logistic operations of a company. Cons The dashboards, tables and figures might be overwhelming at first for the users who are not too familiar with logistics. But it is not that big of a deal actually. Pros The paid feature to use power query and/or the API is a powerful service to extract the data I need to perform in depth analyses. Cons I'd like to see a warning if my power query returns a larger row number than the actual amount of data I will receive. I may not be retrieving what I was expecting. The owner of ImportYeti is very responsive Pros \- Easy of use- Ease of finding overseas suppliers- Showed where similar companies imported their products from- Showed the overseas suppliers of products we are interested in- Showed who else our overseas suppliers supplied in the US- The cost of subscribing Cons \- Did not show the last 2 digits on the Bill of Lading of the the import customs codes used- Do not think all the customs codes shown are correct. April 5, 2024 5.0 Pros ImportYeti lets us keep an eye on how supply is developing in our markets. It helps us understand whether there are risks of market shortages, supplier disruptions, or shipping disruptions that could impact customers. Cons Some importers use abbreviations or incomplete data in the bills of lading which can make it a bit tough to find the real information. ImportYeti's ability to allow us to export bulk BoLs to scour the data helps us around that but it still takes time. The ability to look at other brands imports and identify their suppliers makes it so much easier to improve our own supply chain. Cons I'd love to have some EU import data in there too.
