As super cheesy as this always sounds I wish I'd joined the platform earlier. Pros Simplicity of use. I'm drowning enough under the pressure of so many potential colab / creative opportunities so having an easy to use platform from set up to sales communication is fantastic. The onboarding with \[sensitive content hidden\] was excellent and a lot of my partner brands are already signed up to Avelon too. They've been super receptive about the specifics of my use case too, so I can set up different codes to suit different situations. Being able to help viewers out with offers while also creating revenue for myself is a double win too. Cons I'd always held back from affiliate as I wasn't sure how my reviewers would react to promotion schemes on a review channel. Avelon totally respect that though so I can work with adjacent brands rather than ones directly covered in my testing remit. There's never been any pressure to change that either which is super important to me. More colab brands would be even better but I'm already working with some of my existing sponsors and \[sensitive content hidden\] to get them onto the platform. Review Source HG Helen G. Shopify was much more difficult to set up. Ultimately it will only work as well as the relationships that exist between the affiliate and the brand Would be useful to clearly describe which brands are prepared to provide product samples for testing or content uses. Pros Really clear platform set up to link affiliates with suitable brands. Easy to track what is happening and generate links. Cons Verification process is very slow, been waiting a week to be verified. Not an avelon fault but communication from brands is non existent - multiple messages and emails to different brands but no response Several pending affiliate applications - is there an expected brand response time. The fact you have one place for all your retailers and link is very helpful. They have good communication channels and good process management in their platform. I also really like the opportunities tab where you can explore other retailers and apply to their programs. Cons The payment processing is not so straight forward. I understand is not value for money for them and easy process to make it able to transfer all sale earnings but would appreciate an easier process, or the possibility to use the earnings as credits when they are below 20£, if you wish. The payouts are quick and the emails will notify me and let me know clearly what is happening. Cons Email communication to support if applications were not met were not responded to. In my opinion Avelon is one of the most simple and easiest platforms to use. I'm very impressed and would recommend any to try it out Pros The user interface is so simple and easy to use which makes the learning curve very minimal. I've used a number of other affiliate platforms in the past and they've been so difficult to get your head round I just never ended up using them. The name is a bit strange, as there’s no apparent link with the mythical island from Arthurian legend. It would be good to maybe have an app. Pros The main thing is that it’s easy to use- super important as if it’s not easy to use, it would turn me away. It was also very easy to set up and everything is explained step by step. Cons The pages are quite basic, some colour or images would be good. There's always an individual to speak to rather than the automated responses of so many affiliate networks. Cons Nothing so far. Pros It is a great platform with lots of different retailers to pick from and it is very simple to use. It is very accessible for beginners to start out the influencer journey. Cons Sometimes when you message a retailer, they won’t reply or it will take a long time for them to reply. The tracking and set up seems straightforward. I've not done this before so don't have anything to compare it to. I like that you can search for different retailers and brands and apply to them as well as them finding you. I had to set up a stripe account in order to be paid, but that was pretty easy to do. Pros Lots of helpful videos on their support page with info on how to get started. This was my first time so a bit of a learning curve for me. Set up has mostly been straightforward.
