May 18, 2024 3.0 Great hopes and expectations built on the wonderful marketing machine that is 'Boostly' were never fulfilled. Pros Amazing PR and marketing, excellent advice on social media and jazzy website design. You will always get a BUZZ from visiting their social channels. Cons Very poor level of support provided when we really needed it. Price increase from £9.99 per site per month to £25 March 2023. Then fourteen months later it goes up to £97 per month per site with less than two weeks notice. The almost 'cult' like status of the "Community", any posts that start to receive negative comments soon get closed to new posts. What makes us loyal to Boostly is the way they care for the Boostly members with bootcamp training and other opportunities to learn about best practices in our industry. Of all the places we gather information, Boostly has been at the top because they are helping us drive drive direct booking business - not just OTA strategies. Pros The full service option was the way for to go with 16 properties. Boostly helped us from start to finish with the design and functionality. We also hired someone to help us write our copy. Boostly was the only web designer that understood how to integrate with our PMS and all the constantly changing new tech available in our industry. We are so glad we didn't go with an independent private web designer. Cons It's a process and it took 4 months to get the site just right. Once it was done we found other problems that needed attention. It takes a week or more to resolve issues with their help system. But they are improving and we are excited for our new 3.0 site that is in the works. Pros I had been in the hospitality industry offering short term holiday rental properties for about 3 years when I discovered \[sensitive content hidden\] and Boostly. Before Boostly I had done some content marketing but didn’t really understand much about it. Thanks to joining Boostly, my content marketing has changed beyond recognition and has really helped me to increase direct bookings instead of relying on online travel agents. Boostly keeps me up to date with all the changes so I can be ahead of the game, and the regular contact and learning opportunities ensure my continued success. Boostly is also a community of supportive like-minded accommodation owners. You tell them you want a new website and you have a face to face online meeting, and they talk you through what's the best website option for you. Then you just answer their online questions and send in photos, and they do all the magic for you! They are also so quick to respond if any help is ever needed. About a year ago I got serious about direct booking and started using Boostly to learn how to attract guests booking direct. So far it’s working and I have more and more direct bookings daily. You do have to do the work though. It’s not set it and forget it like listing your property on an OTA. Pros \[sensitive content hidden\] of Boostly helps short term rental owners learn how to book their rentals direct cutting out the OTAs and all the fees and shenanigans that go along with using an OTA like Airbnb.
