### "Competitive Cloud Storage"

September 25, 2025

5.0

Very Nice we are using this platform as a mediator with our client. we are using 20 Administrator plan and very much satisfied. 20 TB storage is good enough for small organisation and there is an option available to increase the storage space it will more beneficial in case if we require. Overall its good.

Pros

Very nice app in this era for cloud storage in average cost. Folder Management is good. We can create and share with user's ID. Its also allowing us to share with links and with proper validity. In simple words its good to go.

Cons

Responding very slow Like login and surfing in folders. As our experience with other cloud storage Sharefile take much time to for login authentication. Support team should rectify the speed and it may good to use in market if slowness remove.

### "A Secure, User-Friendly File Sharing Solution with Excellent Support and Enterprise Integration"

September 16, 2025

5.0

Pros

ShareFile is a user-friendly and reliable solution that excels in enterprise environments. Its intuitive interface makes it easy for users of all levels to navigate and manage files efficiently. The platform integrates seamlessly with existing enterprise systems, enhancing productivity without disrupting workflows also offering robust security features.

Cons

While ShareFile is generally reliable, we’ve encountered occasional issues - primarily around file permissions and access controls. These hiccups have sometimes disrupted workflows, especially when managing shared folders across teams. However, their support team has consistently been responsive and knowledgeable, helping us resolve problems quickly and effectively.

### "Progress is killing this company"

May 29, 2025

1.0

Pros

Product used to be great, new management from progress has made the product unusable due to horrendous support.

Cons

Progress acquisition has rendered support useless, too many people in the mix, nobody has answers, support tickets remain open for weeks at a time and no follow up. Duplicate invoices being sent, inability to do something as simple as upgrade an account due to backend bugs that nobody seems to care about.

### "Happily Working With ShareFile"

July 31, 2025

4.0

My experience with ShareFile is a very positive one. I found it easy to upload, share, and work remotely. I find it so much easier to navigate than Dropbox.

Pros

I never received any formal training on ShareFile, I was just invited on by an employer, and found it fairly simple to navigate. I like having the ability to securely share and edit so many documents, while keeping them all in one place.

Cons

Once in a while, I find the uploads rather slow, but that's just once in a while, not too frequently.

Cons

Sometimes it could be slow but no real issues.

ShareFile is fast, secure, and reliable. Get your money because, after using ShareFile, you'll click the upgrade button fast.

### "CUSTOMER SERVICE IS HORRIBLE"

December 2, 2024

3.0

OVERALL MY EXPERIENCE WAS GOOD UNTIL I WENT TO CANCEL (BEFORE MY ANNUAL SERVICE WAS OVER) I CANCELLED VIA EMAIL SEVERAL TIMES AND WAS COMPLETELY IGNORED. THEN THEY ISSUED AN INVOICE FOR THE COMING YEAR AND I INFORMED THEM AGAIN I HAD CANCELLED. 3 MONTHS LATER I RECEIVE A THREATENING EMAIL STATING THAT I HAD TO PAY THE INVOICE AS THEY HAD ISSUED IT! INTERESTING AS THEY HAD ALREADY CLOSED MY ACCOUNT MONTHS AGO.

Pros

FINE AS A PROGRAM, A FEW GLITCHES WITH ACCESSING.

Cons

GLITCHES WHICH LEFT THE CLIENTS UNABLE TO OPEN FILES. COMMUNICATION ISSUES.

April 25, 2024

4.0

Pros

Security Creating an account and getting started is simple, with an interactive and user-friendly interface. There are many of resources accessible online to learn more about the platform. Citrix enables easy access for both Windows and Mac users. One login for all data, all data is easily accessible and kept in one location, and it can be utilized offline. Easy collaboration because you may add anyone to the folder and send them the necessary document. Workflows and exact control over what information can be shared. Outlook plugin is really useful since it sorts the cluttered email inbox.

Cons

### "Poor customer service"

April 30, 2024

2.0

Pros

Reasonable performance with Outlook. Avoid using with Gmail. I had to contact the tech support team multiple times to fix the Gmail plugin. It is not reliable.

Cons

The billing team is terrible. I requested a 3 license package, but they charged me for 5 licenses. I contacted them 5 times and the issue is still not resolved. I ended up having to dispute this with my credit card company. I feel like Sharefile does not care about it's customers. All the representatives say is that they cannot help me.

### "ShareFile is fast, easy to access and secure for sharing files."

May 24, 2023

5.0

We don't have a file sharing server, thus this is the simplest way to distribute and exchange data, especially huge ones, across geographically distributed staff and clients. ShareFile eliminates the need for physical storage, and remote access is the most significant benefit, significantly improving productivity and performance. Citrix Sharefile assists us in fulfilling our need to take reasonable precautions to protect our customers' confidential/personal information. Citrix Sharefile benefits our business since it is simple to use and helps keep our customers' information secure.

Pros

ShareFile is a simple method to share files with employees and customers. It allows you to simply build familiar folder structures and protect data, and its cross-platform compatibility makes it simple to access files. Citrix file sharing is a simple and safe way to save all data in the cloud, allowing us to view files from anywhere and at any time. Citrix has got the unique notion of offering simple access to all platforms; I have seen that most MNCs such as Infosys, DeLL, Accenture, and many more are adopting this; the greatest aspect is that it provides all apps in one spot for ease of access.

Cons

Initially, something is required to connect to the server and even to reflect the changes made to the files; however, it will be better if speed and connectivity are increased; speed is something to enhance, application availability is a genuine annoyance; during peak hours, apps crash, which might be due to issues with the organization's infrastructure or the application itself.

### "Beta tester turned daily user"

June 29, 2016

5.0

I have a long history with Citrix. I beta tested the GoToAssist line of products. So they asked me to beta test the ShareFile product. In the beginning it was crap. I tried to upload my files (about 1 TB) and it croaked after 5 GB. I called support and they referred me to a company that was writing a migration tool. I beta tested that too. they asked for my honest opinion and I gave it to them. I told them Citrix should just fix their software and I shouldn't have to buy an extra tool to get my data into the cloud. Fast forward 2 years later, my Accountant tells me we are bleeding money paying for something we're not using (ShareFile) he said use it or dump it. So I download it again, started using it, uploaded my 1TB+ of data into it and was impressed. They have come a LONG way. I can even modify word documents and PDF's within the ShareFile client. Now they have an iOS app and droid app. I see improvements on a regular basis, like now they have a "save to sharefile" option on the iOS. This is Citrix after all they make good stuff. I am glad I stuck with them so long because now I have a grandfathered account type. It's coming along really well and I'm really happy I stuck with them. they used to support WebDav for windows integration, now they have a "Mapped drive app"

Pros

iOS save to sharefile Easy to use interface progress bar when uploading files MODIFY DOCUMENTS in sharefile share a file/folder for a # of downloads share a file/folder for a # of days download notifications no sharefile account? no problem you can still see my files Ha Ha I FORCE you to create an account, to see me files because I can! (or because my regulations state I have to require individual accounts.)

Cons

Relatively speaking they are coming late to the market, Box and Dropbox have been out a long time. I'm trying to think of some con's but the truth is I know they are improving the software as I type. Oh I though of one. In Microsoft word they don't have "save to sharefile" option like dropbox does, but they do have the "Drive mapper app" so you can save it to Z: or whatever. They don't synchronize with my NAS, it's deliberate. I'm a network engineer I tried all the tricks and workarounds, yes even symbolic links and hard links. They don't work. You're not supposed to do it. They're not trying to be a backup for your NAS.

### "Excellent platform to store and share documents securely."

May 15, 2023

5.0

Sharefile understands the issue of sharing records, putting away archives (carefully) and being able to share reports with others safely. I can transfer reports and clients can get to anytime they require, it is exceptionally productive for sending and getting gigantic records securely and rapidly. Centrally oversee this benefit with the capacity to get to administrations from different gadgets and stages. This benefit has facilitated the issue of sharing data safely with accomplices and specialists.

Pros

Sharefile has numerous instruments that make the computer program simple to utilize, apps to utilize on desktop or versatile, join records safely or over certain measure limits, integrative with other program like RightSignature. The item is accessible with the choice of cloud-based and on-premises, it is very simple to introduce and arrange, permits sending or asking huge records with others. It has software/plugin for Viewpoint, portable gadgets, etc. You'll be able too adjust substance, the record exchange is very quick, it permits you to customize the appearance of the app to a few degree.

Cons

The computer program has a few disadvantages, authorization settings for organizers are not simple to oversee for all clients who have admin rights, notice settings for transfers can be effortlessly misplaced and capturing/resetting them awkward, and self-service charging was a bit of a challenge (was on auto pay, when changing memberships that got changed and couldn't be reached by back at Citrix after clearing out messages). Tall accessibility setup for Citrix ShareFile may be a issue, at slightest we managed with it. I wish there was a more loose alternative to customize the appearance of the item interface from the point of view of the conclusion client.

### "Offshore Customer Service for US Customers is HORRIBLE"

November 2, 2023

1.0

It was not a good expensive. It was expensive, customer service was horrible, and I was never able to get any information on adding eSignature functionality to my account.

Pros

ShareFile was somewhat easy for my clients to understand and use, so there wasn't much of a learning curve.

Cons

Customer service is nonexistent, for all intents and purposes. You're directed to their Help & Support website, which does not usually have the information useful to resolve issues that I ran into, so the next option is a Chat functionality. The Chat is operated by representatives outside of the USA, and replies are canned responses. I just wasted more than 40 minutes cancelling the service, for the second time. I canceled it the first time in June, and was assigned a case number, and sent a confirmation. But then today, my credit card was billed for another annual subscription fee, so I had to follow up, and it has been an excruciatingly painful experience. Also, there is no e-signature functionality built in to ShareFile, so it's useless for tax compliance document management. There is apparently an add-in for RightSignature, but I could never get any information, and only heard through other accountant groups that it is very expensive. ShareFile is expensive enough on its own, so it wasn't worth it to continue, since there are accounant specific applications out there that do a much better job.

### "ShareFile - Easy to use file sharing and secure data storage app"

December 23, 2019

4.0

We used Sharefile to share large files (typically in Gigabytes) with our clients and internally. Earlier, we used emails and FTP for the same which is kind of very tedious task, but with Sharefile sharing large files have become an easy task and saves a lot of time.

Pros

ShareFile is one of the best platforms to share large files with your clients, vendors and even internally within your company. It allows you to organize files in different folders. To share a file, users have to upload the files into the right folder and then the user has options to give access to the files wither via a web-link or you can share an entire folder with a group of people. Files uploaded on the Sharefile account can be accessed seamlessly from any endpoint including a mobile app, desktop or web-browser. In terms of security, Sharefile is equipped with two-factor authentication and single sign-on feature. Other important features include integration with third-party software such as office 365, Microsoft outlook and Gmail via plugins which allows real-time co-editing and co-authoring of a document.

Cons

Sharefile subscriptions come with very different pricing options with varied features. So, if you go with a basic plan you would only get basic features like storage and sharing. Other plans are a little bit costly and include features like Office 365 co-editing, Gmail and Outlook plugins, encryptions, and electronic signatures. The set of features in the Sharefile mobile app is limited and allows only basic functions. Integration with third-party software such as embedded video player, Image viewer can be improved.

### "Great as a File Storage System"

August 3, 2019

4.0

We put Sharefile in place without an IT admin or any IT specialists on hand. A group of four of us tackled the transition from our university's shared drive, handling the data migration and the set up of folder structures. Because of this, I'm sure we didn't have all file storage best practices down pat. I don't know that Citrix provides much in way of recommendations for how to structure the data; that said, we only purchased Sharefile rather than a more enterprise-minded solution. I am sure with heftier purchases that there'd be more consultation and interaction. For the several-thousand annual price we pay for a team of around 40, the benefits of Sharefile are immense. As with any system of this size that's cloud-based, there's a bit of a learning curve to get comfortable with the more in-depth features and functionality, but once we learned how certain aspects work, it's been great and has become a core part of how we conduct the sharing of files with clients.

Pros

Cloud-based and easy to understand web interface is nice. Onboarding and implementation was good and inexpensive. The check-in and check-out file features are nice, as are the abilities to share files with external users. The security and uptime as well as ability to resolve any system-wide outages quickly.

Cons

Some frustrations in features that I was expecting to be more fully fleshed out, such as workflows or ability to work on documents online without the lag of connecting with 365 and handling some of those handovers.

### "Great tool for teams that share a lot of documents and need to do it securely."

June 5, 2023

5.0

We want a safe location to manage and share numerous files among scattered employees and clients. Sharefile's cloud-based software solution allows users to securely exchange goods. I may share papers, seek signatures, and upload files for usage by suppliers and workers. ShareFile is a fantastic platform for sharing data that is considerably more safe than utilizing a native platform like Office 365, ShareFile allows us to transfer ISO-compliant files in and out.

Pros

Sharefile is an excellent application for safe file sharing; the file system is simple to use, and adding or removing files is simple. It offers a variety of safe sharing options, a powerful admin interface for managing user accounts, and a mature Outlook add-in for those with accounts that can use that capability. Sharefile also allows you to send someone a link and have them send you a file; what I appreciate about ShareFile is that you can quickly broadcast enormous files to people at various firms and see that they downloaded the file.

Cons

One concern I have with ShareFile is how frequently they want you to change your password. I understand the need for security, but I despise having to reset passwords so frequently. If the synchronization features are not working properly, it might be difficult to access files or directories, and the tools may abruptly log you out.

### "Easy to Use"

October 18, 2021

4.0

Overall, sharefile is a great tool if you need to quickly find a file sharing solution and a way to send files securely vs. sending items through e-mail attachments. The alerting/notification features are also nice so users are reminded when new information is available to download and review. It's great for file sharing, but there may be better options if you intend to perform an entire audit within sharefile as documentation can get voluminous. Sharefile is a great document portal to send files here and there as needed, but it really shouldn't be used as the interface for a working file if multiple users need to access and work within at the same time.

Pros

The software offers alot of benefit in sending files securely between parties, and offering a shared drive between internal and external users to exchange documentation for purposes of performing professional services (audits, tax, consulting, etc.) It's intuitive to use and set permissions and access control as an administrator. Alerts and notification settings are also useful to alert users when information is available.

Cons

Unlike other similar offerings, users can't work in the same files at the same time without causing the system to save new versions of the file. This can be frustrating when multiple users need to access and work on the same file as needed, and no ones work overrides others when trying to save the file. Additionally, it's sometime difficult to tell what folder contain files as Citrix doesnt show the size (MB) of any folders, the web browser version does, but the browser is less user friendly than navigating the shared drive structures through the citrix addon.
