I'm simply a user and it has made my life easy for document storage.

Pros

Very simple to use and to give access as needed. Easy to find after storage. I am thankful to not have all the paper that I have saved in previous years.

Cons

There are no items that I have wanted or needed that weren't there, so I have no "least" for this product.

### "Excellent secure file sharing"

I've had a good experience overall using it mainly to request or send HIPAA related documents between practices. Other users who receive requests have no trouble working with it even though it's not in their normal workflow.

Pros

HIPAA Compliant. Easy to request that files be uploaded from new users. Easy to share files to others. Easy to set up sharing and access on a fairly granular level for repeat users.

Cons

I had to get used to the permissions a bit but it is easy now. You can set permissions on a folder but also on individual items. Much like Active Directory if you're familiar with that. It just took me a minute to see what it was doing.

Reason for choosing Progress ShareFile

HIPAA standards and familiarity with the product.

The tool works great, it enable us to share files with external parties, while complying with our Cybersecurity regulations.

Pros

Citrix is an easy to use tool that allows to:- Share files with external parties.- Control the level and duration of access for the users who will be accesing the file.- Share file using secure encryption- Use of an agent to automatically sync information from predefined folders.

Cons

We have not had any issues with the software since its implementation. Citrix meets our requirements (technical and regulatory)

Pros

ShareFile is greats for sharing documents securely. It is nice how you can see who has opened the attachments and when they opened them. It is also nice that the links expire for security purposes.

Cons

When people don't realize that the links will expire, I occasionally have to resend the document.

In the company I work for it's used all the time. Either for storing files which can be accessed from everywhere, and also the Sharefile plugin which is used even more. It offers some sort of alternative to onedrive/dropbox. Would advise.

Pros

Gives you the ability to store files in the cloud, wherever you are. So if you have the softare installed, you can pretty much get to your files wherever you are. Also, there's an outlook plugin, which is really useful for sending big files over mail.

Cons

When setting up Sharefile for end user (i'm an administrator), i sometimes run into an issue which causes me to run the setup twice. It won't work after the first time as configured.

Several services combined into one. Simple administration and ease of use. Our staff didn't have to do much training to learn to use it.

Pros

We consolidated three services with Sharefile: file storage, email encryption, and document signature. It did so at less cost than the three combined. Sharefile is simple enough to "just work".

Cons

The integration between Sharefile and RightSignature (the document signing piece) is still a work in progress. While there has been positive change since we have implemented the system, there is still some work to do. Aside from that, Sharefile has performed as we hoped.

Pros

I like that it provides a secure way for clients to send us documents, as well for us to send clients documents. It has been easy to navigate on both ends. I have also used it when email attachments have been too large to attach to the email itself, it will work through Sharefile. It is nice to go back and look at all of the documents you have sent and received in one place.

Cons

I have not run into many issues personally. I have had a handful of clients here and there that have trouble accessing it or using it correctly. Not sure the cause of that issue- whether it is user error, security blockers on a work computer, the program itself, etc.?

Pros

I love that we can print from our tax software program directly to ShareFile. Another plus is that users can reset their own passwords without calling our office.

Cons

We had some issues getting the print driver working, and setting up new users can be confusing.

Pros

I like that I can easily add a link to request files to an email. It is also very handy to get the receipt when your link is downloaded.

Cons

Sometimes it is hard to find folders that you had previously used. There are a number of way to access internal and external data and finding all the folders is not very intuitive.

it has been great

Pros

once it is connected, I can work on the app cluster in school like I am there. the ease of getting the data I have analyzed as well is easy. it literally saves it on my computer and saves on cloud as well.

Cons

The fact is that sometimes it doesn't connect and so I have to do the upload and download step which i would not regularly do when it connects properly

I wish I had known about this solution sooner. The time my staff save and the overall ease of use make it a wonder product. I feel very secure in Citrix's hands with this product.

Pros

Citrix ShareFile works seamlessly with my Office Outlook and provides piece of mind for me and my clients when sending sensitive information through email. The robust functionality allows me to control who and for how long certain individuals have access to confidential information. Gone are the days of encrypting individual documents, just drag and drop and ShareFile will take care of the rest. It's a real time saver.

Cons

It may be a little pricey for small businesses (i.e. Sole proprietors).

Pros

It is internal to its own software. I can get a shareable link that is say not linked to my google drive. Thus a better for business shared format.

Cons

I wish the notifications for files were a little better. It is hard to tell when you receive the file.

Ease of use cloud-based data base that is encrypted far above and beyond the requirements of HIPAA. This is a great product.

Pros

This is one of the easiest software applications we have employed and is HIPAA-compliant. That is very important for small businesses engaged in the healthcare field and dealing with PHI. Small businesses not using this software are doing themselves a disservice.

Cons

For small businesses, I would prefer that they have a flat fee for companies less than 10 employees. The cost per person is a bit much when we have to have fees for part time people, as well. Outside that, there really is nothing we dislike about ShareFile.

I would say that having Sharefile made our project much quicker and is still used for updates and new files for our team.

Pros

Notifications for loaded files and the ability to filter and review upload information such as time, date stamps and other information when working on a large project.

Cons

i do not currently have any any least liked features about ShareFile.

Pros

I love this application. With little to no change on my processes or setup, I was able to start working out of a shared drive in the cloud. No more exposure risk for secure files.

Cons

I wish they had a better video to share with my coworkers. People stuck in their ways are missing out. It's so easy ot use and makes working so much more efficient managing only one document repository.

Absolutely the best way to share sensitive data. We use it for audits and invoices with social and money on them.

Gave me a little grief logging in for a period of time and it took quite a while to get the issue resolved.

It was so/so. There is alot of things to improve upon.

Pros

I liked how it integrated with my outlook and gmail accounts. I could print to the drive as opposed to saving it, then saving it again.

Cons

It is extremely difficult to pay for your subscription. You are required to talk to a customer service agent and it can't be just any customer service agent. There is one assigned to you. Mine never contacted me back so I decided to go elsewhere.

It is easy to transfer files in it. The interface of website is very attractive. I love to use this tool. According to me it is secure and reliable. Sometimes I find it running slowly and this thing is quite disappointing. If the speed is improved it would be very good.

Pros

ShareFile is very good tool to transfer data. It is very easy to operate. I think that is secure to use this software. It is very easy to transfer files on it. You can create different folders in it. I like its website’s interface. It looks very professional.

Cons

At times it runs very slowly and I am unable to work on it. Sometimes the transferring takes lot of time. It is boring to wait until the transferring is complete. I really don’t like this. I think that the speed should be better for good experience.

Overall, 10/10 product. I use it all the time and I love that there are multiple ways you can send files. However I like to keep it simple and use the “send a link” function so I can easily copy and paste into an email.

Pros

I love sharefile and use it on a weekly basis. In the construction industry there are constantly large files being sent back and forth and larges sets of drawings that need to be distributed. The capacity for file size is immense! I constantly use the “share a link” function and send it to subcontractors. I never have issues with the links or negative feedback from users.

Cons

I love everything about it, but sometimes signing in with the domain name If you don’t have it on hand isn’t as easy as it should be.

The product has been good. We need a little more functionality such as email sharing and easy access to electronic signatures so we are moving away from this product currently.

Pros

Easy to install, easy to use, can send directly from Outlook email. Security is good.

Cons

Sending file links without setting up permissions (default) means that anyone with the link can access files. Team members have some difficulty with setting permissions, it's not as intuitive as it could be. Difficult to segregate client files and firm files and still have the file structure remain intuitive.
