They focus on what they say they'll do and they execute it quite well which is giving JLPT question review to pass the JLPT and tracking your progress towards it. Pros \- I passed JLPT N4 with JPDrills! - does what it says it will: prepare you for the JLPT - sleek design - great explanations on the difficult questions to help me learn why it was wrong instead of just grading it wrong - leagues system is fun. Keeps me coming back to try not get demoted or to get promoted if I'm feeling competitive Cons \+ Would like there to be even more explanations. There are a ton, but more is always better here. Otherwise, it's really good value for the money. Can't complain Switched from [Duolingo](https://www.capterra.com/p/210401/Duolingo-for-Schools/) Duolingo didn't prepare me for the JLPT like JPDrills does. Duolingo didn't have the explanations I needed, the focus on linguistic understanding, or the real fluency tracking. Duolingo was just too casual and I needed something more complex. I've been studying Japanese and other languages a long time and Duolingo is too introductory. Also, Duolingo's owl is way too aggressive with guilt-tripping you for not practicing. I don't like how Duolingo is passive-aggressive here and I like how professional JPDrills is in treating you like an adult and not trying to guilt trip you into practicing. JPDrills is great.
