An excellent, highly capable multi-tool for infrastructure teams looking to eliminate operational silos. It has a learning curve, but the depth of visualization and automation it provides is well worth the investment.

Pros

ManageEngine OpManager Plus stands out for its ability to bring network performance monitoring, bandwidth analysis (NetFlow), and configuration management into a single platform. The topology-aware fault correlation is a massive win for eliminating alert fatigue in enterprise environments, and the out-of-the-box multi-vendor support makes discovery incredibly fast.

Cons

While it is a true powerhouse, the interface can feel a bit fragmented when diving deep into advanced module settings, reflecting its history as historically separate products. Additionally, navigating the granular licensing matrix can be complex when scoping out scaling requirements.

Seven years is a long time to stick with any tool in IT, where everything changes every 18 months. The fact that OpManager Plus has remained my go-to infrastructure monitoring platform across all those years says everything about its reliability and depth. It's not perfect — the UI needs a serious refresh — but when it comes to managing large, complex infrastructure environments, nothing in its price range comes close. It gives you full visibility, keeps your team proactive rather than reactive, and handles scale without breaking a sweat. If you're a serious infrastructure professional looking for a monitoring platform you can build your operations around, this is it. Highly recommended — and that's coming from someone who's had 7 years to change their mind.

Pros

After seven years of managing complex IT infrastructure, I can tell you with full confidence that OpManager Plus is one of the few tools that genuinely scales with you. When you're responsible for hundreds — sometimes thousands — of devices across multiple sites, you need something that doesn't buckle under pressure. This doesn't. What I appreciate most is how effortlessly it handles large-scale infrastructure. Routers, switches, firewalls, servers, virtual machines — everything is organized, monitored, and manageable from a single console. I don't have to jump between tools or chase alerts across different platforms. It's all there. For a Senior Infrastructure Engineer, that kind of centralized control isn't a luxury, it's a necessity — and OpManager Plus delivers it consistently. The auto-discovery is solid, the alerting keeps me ahead of issues before users even notice something is wrong, and the performance data it gives me has saved us from several near-misses over the years. Seven years in, I still rely on it as my first window into the health of our environment every single morning.

Cons

My only real gripe — and it's been a gripe for a while — is the UI. The functionality is all there, no question, but the interface hasn't kept pace with how modern tools look and feel today. Coming from a tool this powerful, it deserves a fresher, more intuitive front-end. When you're onboarding new team members, the dated look adds an unnecessary learning curve that a cleaner design would eliminate. It works, but it could look and feel a lot better in 2026.

My overall experience with ManageEngine OpManager Plus is based on a comprehensive product workshop and live technical demonstrations. As a Network Administrator, my initial impression is that the platform is incredibly powerful and highly capable of handling full-stack network visibility.

Pros

As a Network Administrator attending a workshop presentation of OpManager Plus, what I liked least was the sheer density of the user interface. While the platform is clearly powerful and comprehensive, the live interface demos looked quite cluttered. It seems like it would require a significant learning curve just to navigate the dashboard efficiently and filter out daily noise.

Cons

While it is marketed as a single platform, the different modules (like NetFlow or NCM) still looked a bit disconnected, like separate tools forced into one interface.

Pros

This is ram packed full for features and is low cost. includes IPAM, cab layouts as well as what most equivalent other SNMP / network monitoring tools have

Cons

Certain areas can be clunky, but overall the GUI is simple to navigate which outweighs this. cannot find too many faults. Witnessed an issues with a Wifi Vendor's WAPs consuming more licensing than it should have.

The interface is user-friendly, and the monitoring capabilities provide clear visibility into network performance and health.

Cons

While ManageEngine OpManager Plus is powerful, it can sometimes feel complex during initial setup and configuration. Certain advanced features require additional customization, which may take time to fully optimize. In some cases, scalability improvements can come with increased resource consumption, and compatibility with niche or legacy devices may require manual adjustments.

My entire team feels it is better than the previous tool we where using. Better interface, reporting and alerting.

Pros

Being able to setup SNMP credentials once and then being able to apply them as we add new devices is great. Feels like the we are getting better allerts with OPManger Plus

Cons

There is a learning curve, but that comes with any new product you would place into production. If you have used Monitoring software in the past, should not be an issue.

Overall, my experience with ManageEngine OpManager Plus has been positive. It is a powerful tool for monitoring network devices and traffic, and the dashboards and reports provide useful insights into network performance. While some configuration tasks can take time, it is still a reliable solution for managing and monitoring IT infrastructure.

Pros

What I liked most about ManageEngine OpManager Plus is the dashboards and visibility it gives over the network. The dashboards make it easy to monitor device health and performance, and I especially liked being able to see real-time traffic between different sites. The reporting features are also useful for analyzing network performance and troubleshooting issues.

Cons

What I liked least is the alert configuration. I struggled to set up alerts to be sent to my email, which makes it difficult to receive notifications when something goes wrong on the network. I eventually managed to figure it out though.

Reasons for choosing ManageEngine OpManager Plus

We chose ManageEngine OpManager Plus over PRTG Network Monitor because our organization already uses several ManageEngine products. To maintain consistency within our existing ecosystem, we decided to evaluate OpManager Plus instead of introducing a monitoring solution from a different vendor. After testing the platform, we found that OpManager Plus performs well and provides the monitoring features and capabilities required for our environment.

it is great to do monitoring for network devices that has the OIDs loaded in the tool, but there are some basic things like monitor some devices only by ping to a specific ip address that are difficult to do.

Pros

It can go deeply monitoring for certain services and features, it has been useful for my network monitoring and alerting

Cons

The columns adjustment is a nightmare, if you have devices with long names, you can’t see the name properly and to expand the columns is very dificult. Also there is not posible to have a live graphic for availability, latency and/or packet loss.

Really great product at a good price. We are able to monitor all admin level devices in our environment with real time alerts to monitor network traffic and ensure device uptime is maximized. Customer support is quick to get back to us with answers, it is a real easy to use product.

Cons

There are some minor nice to have features that are lacking, so we will see how responsive their development team is to feature suggestion.

Overall, I am quite pleased with OpManger - both the product, and the team - I had a bit of a learning curve when I was first assigned the responsibility of managing this critical system, but this was due to my lack of inexperience with it - the ITOM training I received at a local conference helped immensely.

Pros

Customer Service - ITOM has been excellent to work with and we have overcome many challenges together

Cons

What I like least is the lack of Dark Mode in the UI, but I know they are working on adding this to future editions
