It has the potential to help us grow and understand our business sales and production cycles. As we grow our business I can see Billdr being a key component of our continued growth and success. Pros We started using Billdr this spring for deck construction/renovation business. The platform has all the tools we need to estimate, schedule, communicate, track expenses from vendors, and timesheets that we need. We honestly haven't even begun to use it to it's full potential as we continue to develop our internal systems, we continue to utilize additional features that are available. There certainly is a learning curve, but at every step, if we run into a problem the customer support team is almost immediately available and quickly able to solve the particular problem we were facing. Cons No estimating software/CRM is perfect, they all have missing pieces that would be nice to have. With Billdr, they proactively allow requests for features and consistently have been pushing out updates that address the most common suggestions in a very reasonable time frame. Pros Billdr is easy to learn but at the same time has a suite of in-depth customization and complex features that you discover while using the program. The frequent updates and communication from the Billdr team members is also very appreciated. Cons It is not a cheap program, it is browser based and they're still working on a desktop/mobile app. I find working off of a PC browser is the best experience so far. Much better than the other estimating programs we've used in the past. Pros We have found Billdr to be very user friendly and on those occasions that we aren't sure how to handle something, their team gets back to us quickly so we can keep the jobs moving. Onboarding was a breeze and the system has a really nice flow. Cons The cost of software is a bit steep for our small remodeling company. There are a few features we wish it had but what it does have, makes up for what we're missing. We also very much appreciate the quoting system compared to buildertrend, which was our previous sytem. Cons The original magic link did not fit what we wanted. I moved away from a program that I have used for 10 years because it felt like a job to use it. Billdr is easier to use and my accountant and book keepers are finding it easier to use with the QB integration as well. Cons I don't really like the estimating AI or the commercial project capability, I would like an option for a typical AIA pay app and the ability to create commercial projects that follow a standard commercial bidding process. The client portal is one of its strongest features because it gives clients a clear and professional way to review project information, estimates, updates, and other important documents. Estimate creation is straightforward, and the overall platform helps keep project information organized in one place. It also improves communication between our team and clients and creates a more professional customer experience. Overall, Buildr provides good value and is a useful project management tool for construction companies. Cons Billdr could benefit from putting more focus on the needs of commercial general contractors. Some of the workflows and features seem better suited to residential construction, while commercial projects often require more detailed subcontractor management, tendering, change orders, purchase orders, compliance documentation, and cost tracking. More flexibility in estimating and project management would also help contractors dealing with larger and more complex commercial projects. Adding stronger tools for managing subcontractor quotations, comparing bids, tracking committed costs, and handling project documentation would make the platform much more valuable. Overall, it is a strong product, but greater commercial construction functionality would make it even better. "On-boarding" support has been a big help for us as has the ongoing personal support and responsiveness to suggested improvements. Pros The cost is affordable firstly. Amazing responsive and knowledgeable customer support team often reinforced with back-up videos for review. Client Dashboard centralizing many aspects of the Project: communication, contract & change orders, invoice & payment summaries, etc. The ability to build customer quote templates and track contract budget. Cons The syncing with Quick Books needs further refinement. The customer interface and efficiency of the software would benefit from continued development to streamline for a better interface. I'd even say Billdr Pro is exceptional on that front. I've always gotten an answer to my questions, and always very quickly. The app saves me a considerable amount of time and money. Pros I like the calendar that overlays all my job sites on a single timeline. Invoice, purchase order and change order tracking during a project is very efficient. Cons Budget tracking is the one section that hasn't clicked for me yet. Setting it up properly still takes work on my end, and I'd like it to line up more automatically with the invoices and change orders already logged in the project. It integrates with our accounting software (QBO) quite well. The support team at Billdr is awesome and always ready to help when we have questions or suggestions. Cons At first when we started there was some missing functionality from our previous product (BuilderTrend), but it has since been added. But Billdr is now a much nicer product in my opinion.
