My overall experience with XTEN-AV has been largely positive. It streamlines AV system design with automation that saves a lot of time compared to manual drafting. The interface is fairly user-friendly once you get used to it, and generating proposals, drawings, and documentation in one place is a big advantage.

Pros

XTEN-AV impressed me with its intuitive design automation, fast workflows, and precise AV drawings!!

Cons

What stood out as a drawback in XTEN-AV is that it can feel a bit limiting when you need highly customized designs or niche configurations. Some advanced features take time to learn, and occasional lag or glitches can interrupt the workflow.

I have been working with this tool for a few years now and I like it's ease of use and the professionlism of the schematic I can create.

Pros

The ability to make changes quickly on the fly as I'm working on a project. The shortcuts I'm able to create is also really helpful.

Cons

Not having the ability to crop the product images as I need them to be per project. Some objects need to be scaled down and the visual regions cropped so a project conforms to my workflow.

The XTen-AV support is great. When I have a question, a living chat operator is there. E-mails are replied to, and if I would like an obscure piece added to the library, the team is quick to add it. Usually within 48 hours.

Pros

The X-Draw component of XTen-AV integrates nicely with Q360, which KCAV uses for our Customer Success Management software. The block library maintained by XTen is expansive and makes drawing extremely quick.

Cons

Lack of true lines and measurements in X-Draw are a drawback. But it's getting better all the time, it seems.

very positive. the tutorial gives you the basics and you can figure out the rest. the support persons are fast to respond and are very helpful

Pros

Easy to use. support is quick to respond. allows me to design a project much faster than using a flowchart or AutoCAD.

Cons

prices and new devices are not correct in the library. but since they are easy to edit and make your own library it not much of a con.

I really appreciate that this product provides the ability to create a complete design from nothing to complete technical drawings. This is very helpful in my role.

Pros

It's a very detailed program. You can keep track of your project from all stages.
