Pros SolarWinds BPA has some very helpful features that I can summarize below: I can have both a global and detailed view of bandwidth usage in our network, detect almost that instantly when bandwidth consumption thresholds have been exceeded and notify through preconfigured alerts to react as soon as possible, allows us to delve meticulously on devices and protocols that are affecting the consumption of our network and execute the relevant actions, the user interface is highly customizable allowing us to adjust the graphs (histograms, paretto) according to the metrics we need to evaluate. Cons Its implementation is based on the on premises modality, thus requiring equipment with specifications capable of supporting the consumption of resources, especially if in parallel to this tool, use is made of other tools that require high performance of the machine, this forces to have personnel located on site or requires remote connection to the machine.
