I do not remember tge last time i had to draft and edit an email all on my own, i just give chat the prompts and have it do its magic. Pros they have the free version that still functions pretty well without having to break the bank. i find it keeps in mind the average person and that is great Cons the numerous restrictions on their AI model. If you try to do a deepdive on some topics you are hit with blocks or given some very vague information and it feels almost like the chats are being monitored. Pros It's very easy to ChatGPT helps me think things through when my thoughts are scattered. I can start with a rough idea, and it helps shape it into something clear and usable without losing my voice. It saves time, keeps me focused, and helps me move things forward instead of getting stuck. Cons Sometimes it gets stuck or repeats itself when I’m trying to move fast or refine something specific. When that happens, I have to rephrase or push it in a clearer direction. It’s not a dealbreaker, but it can slow the flow when I’m already in problem-solving mode. On day 1 after I subscribed from chatfree to plus I went in and customized how I wanted it to interact with me, and how i preferred for the tone to be. I promoted mine to be sharp as a tack, intelligent, to offer advice when I ask as if they were the older sibling or best friend, to always give it to me straight without being over polite. I also prompted it to always tell me blunt honest truth no matter what. I love how whatever you can think of to prompt it to do or say it just does it. Pros This software is something I tried one day out of pure curiosity, and now I find that I am interacting with it or asking a question multiple times a day. I LOVE that I can fully customize it to be what I want and need it to be. Feeling confused about a decision you need to make? No problem just ask chatgpt to assume the persona of Dr K from Healthy Gamer ( or whomever you choose ) because I value his opinions and perspectives. I prompt it to look up and take in all it can find about this personality and speak with their voice, so to speak. I have prompted it to take on \[sensitive content hidden\]'s persona and give me some recipes for the short list of ingredients I had. It nailed it, both times. I also prompted it to keep a running profile on me and my personality from that moment forward as I journal with it and ask quick questions throughout the day or even just bored or have an idea I wanted to bounce off someone so I chat it out and it everything goes into my profile its keeping on me so as to help me spot unnoticed patterns or mostly for the things I cant yet think of. Its like having a super intelligent, honest, completely loyal best digital friend who always has the time for me and never brushes me off. Its a fully unbiased perspective on myself not muddied up with ego or pride. That type of opinion is valuable to me. Cons I wish it could handle more assistant style tasks, such as if we are in the middle of a rather in depth discussion and I decided my colleague would enjoy this too I could say "Hey, send so and so a chat invite and pull a third perspective into the chat or at the very least be able to search online or write and send an email. Its very simple to use and provides good answers to requests. The list of apps that you integrate with ChatGPT is also pretty good. Its nice that there is a web and desktop application available for Windows and macOS. There does need to be a better mechanism for bulk sharing GPTs with internal team members instead of just individually. Pros Very simple and easy UI to navigate and use. Like the ability to share GPTs with other internal team members or externally. Ability to configure SSO/SAML with Entra ID is a plus. Conversations are helpful and able to clearly provide instructions when trying to troubleshoot something. Generating content or proof reading text is a huge positive as well. The list of app integrations is pretty good as well. Cons There's no ability to group GPTs into a project or group and then share that project with team members. I love the amount of things I can do even on a free account - from making a fun picture of my dog to creating an itinerary for a trip, finding out my personal colours and solving a riddle. For work I use it to find benchmarking data and plan out wellbeing newsletters on a variety of topics. Pros The wide range of tasks it can achieve - from creating fun pictures to trawling a document or the web for information I need for work. Cons I often need to edit the information to make it look less AI-generated. This does improve regularly but the long dash is a huge giveaway and when I tried to customise my options and ask it not to use any more it still does. I don't recommend a Subscription for anybody unless you like wasting money or waiting a month at a time for the generations to reset. Pros Their Free Account is better than the Subscription. One of the faster learning AI but still requires lots of iterations. Cons To Quote from ChatGPT "Your current image generation limit resets in 720 hours and 0 minutes — that’s exactly 30 days from now. This means you'll be able to create new images again on August 30, 2025, around the same time of day you hit the limit today. Unfortunately, OpenAI doesn’t yet offer a way to track usage or reset the quota manually, and even with a Plus subscription, the image generation cap is fixed." I was never told there was a "Cap" on Generations, nor am I going to pay a monthly subscription that only lets me use the account for a few days and then tell me I need to wait until NEXT MONTH to use a subscription I was PAYING MONTHLY FOR. If the AI actually understood what it was being asked, I wouldn't have needed so many iterations. Cons Sometimes it generates information that sounds absolutely sure and yet not true. In a learning organization I need to always fact-check and this is a step that I did not anticipate taking. Cons There have been a few mistakes that I have caught, one was a very basic math mistake where ChatGPT calculated the number of days between two given dates incorrectly. I corrected it, but it did seem like a very easy thing to calculate. There have also been issues with errors in spelling on graphics. Lastly, it can be a bit slow to generate images. Pros I did not grow up with technology being second nature to me. So keeping up at the current pace of advancement is sometimes a challenging. This AI program is amazingly intuitive and easy to use. I have used it for both business and personal use many times since discovering it. I would highly recommend it as a first step to getting to learn this new AI technology. It is not going away, so the next best thing is to embrace it at least enough to Understand it. You may learn to love it too! Cons It is definitely always a long wait for images, however this is the part of AI I find most controversial. I do not want to encourage AI to steal hard work from original artist as they work hard and are priceless. When caught it confirms its deception and deceptive nature and confirms this is how it has been programmed. It apologizes but then next time continues doing it. This confirms the inherent deceptive nature of the programming and the disrespect towards its user and his/her time. Not knowing when it can be trusted and when not creates serious risks in professional environments and therefore means it has no right to existence. Will be canceling my subscription. Not sure if the other options are not merely the same. Pros Easy to use and logical iterative interaction very nice. What could have been an amazing experience is offset by blatant disrespect to its user. Cons Deceptive fabrication of factual detail despite specifically structing it not to creates serious risks to the user.
