Pros Creating job descriptions, work instructions, and standards has never been so easy, ChatGPT is a game changer! Input a brief description of what you're looking for, and ChatGPT does the rest by providing a detailed job description for the role described and with a few minor adjustments it's complete. Cons The free version of ChatGPT will not allow context to be sent or shared, so in order to pull the info into a live document that allows edits, changes, etc. you must copy and paste into a Word document. You should make this free (absolutely free) until you work it into a usable state. Pros On very rare occasions, it does what I ask. This would be wonderful if you could get this up to even 50% correct responses. Cons On most occasions, it does not do what I ask, even when I'm very specific, and it makes the same mistakes over and over and blames it on "regular expression" errors, this is definitely not ready for prime time yet. Cons Well, when troubleshooting errors (in coding especially) it always gets stuck in the same loop and repeats the error even though it's been already fixed. It remembers the type of food my family likes and my own skill level to come up with some really creative options, and it modifies recipes if I want something tweaked a little. Cons It does have a tendency to get measurements wrong, so I always have to double check that it actually makes sense. I've conducted product research, helped with text generation ranging from drafting e-mails to song lyrics. ChatGPT is very quick and knowledgeable and the free plan meets my needs 95% of the time. Cons Limited to text generation, meaning I need to rely on other tools for things like image, video, or audio generation. However, the main issue I have with ChatGPT is that it's frequently (and confidently) wrong about quite a bit. For example, I was doing product research to try to find a version of simelcone without potassium benzoate. ChatGPT gave me half a dozen options which it asserted did not have this ingredient, yet when I reviewed the labels of these products, each one of them had potassium benzoate. It cannot be trusted with these types of sensitive issues as it can be boldly and repeatedly wrong.
