They do have some ways to go in regards to customizing for clients. We have asked them to complete at least 15 task, but they have actively tried to do it all. Pros The Customer Service is amazing! From the sales team, tech, and client support. I have never felt brushed off. We usually get a same day turn around. Also, we get details on the why, if something can not be addressed. I am not sure if it is coincidence or cultural......nevertheless it is impressive. Cons As a young company, I see that there are lots of kinks to work out. The product updates often. There are multiple items that we had to ask for them to be created and not already available. Moreover, we almost have to train the team to what we want instead of having items and/or options provided. Pros Simple interface and great pricing are two of the best features of Basil. The secure client portal allows easy file sharing with clients without a sharp learning curve. Cons Android App still in development otherwise I have not had any issues with Basil so far. The customer support has been very helpful with any issues I have had. I got an inquiry from a potential client who had one question - do you have secure file sharing software? I was able to say yes, and from that one customer have already billed more than I paid for Basil. Pros The product is very intuitive, and support is beyond amazing. I was looking for secure file sharing and e-signatures. I don't really use the other features, but the price was worth it just for what I need! I highly recommend Basil as an affordable file sharing option. Cons I don't like the way it won't let you set up multiple customers with the same email address. We get customers who, for example, own multiple businesses, and want separate folders for each business. Pros Basil has all of the key features I want and need in my accounting firm in order to communicate and share documentation with clients effectively. The platform is simple and easy to use. I love having a singular location to keep client data secure. The platform is also very affordable compared with other competitors. Cons Basil seems to be a newer platform, and with that I will say there are a few rough edges that could be smoothed out or simple feature implementations that would be a great quality of life improvement for me and my clients such as email integration, easier file management ect.
