April 29, 2026 3.0 I am really excited to see what has in store in the future. They do have some ways to go in regards to customizing for clients. We have asked them to complete at least 15 task, but they have actively tried to do it all. Pros The Customer Service is amazing! From the sales team, tech, and client support. I have never felt brushed off. We usually get a same day turn around. Also, we get details on the why, if something can not be addressed. I am not sure if it is coincidence or cultural......nevertheless it is impressive. Cons As a young company, I see that there are lots of kinks to work out. The product updates often. There are multiple items that we had to ask for them to be created and not already available. Pros Ease of use for both my staff and my clients. was extremely easy to set up and use. I receive notices when anything is uploaded which helps me stay on top of task that need to be handled. I can upload multiple files at once by dropping and dragging. I love the 2 step authentication to keep my documents secure. The pricing is extremely fair for the space and ease of use. My clients love it as well. Cons There are some large files that I am unable to upload but I really don't have anything else about the program that I am unhappy with. Cons seems to be a newer platform, and with that I will say there are a few rough edges that could be smoothed out or simple feature implementations that would be a great quality of life improvement for me and my clients such as email integration, easier file management ect. Cons There is very similar platforms that offer more: goals and integrations with QBO (to ask client questions and aid in closing). I started using it and uploading client documents right after the 1st training. I felt like a pro right away. Our clients just started using it and are not having as much difficulty as they did with all the other programs like this. 1. I send one email 2. Our client logs in 3. The client gets an email when I add a document to their folders 4. A new client can have documents saved for them and a new client contract requesting an e-signature when they set up their login. Pros has all the components needed for my accounting/tax firm. Every year I tried a new Client Management Software preparing for tax season. I'd end up frustrated and not using it after a few weeks. My clients said Basil is straightforward to use. The best part is they feel safer with the download security. No emailing, dropbox, or driving to the office. It has saved so much time. It is inexpensive compared to the competition and it works fine. I think it will continue to get better as they grow. The customer service has been very good. Sometimes they have not been able to solve my particular problem but they are always very nice and responsive. I like the follow up too when a solution is created later. I do feel a little like a Beta tester sometimes. There are pros and cons to being in on the ground floor. Pros I like that the interface is intuitive. I just sign my clients up and tell them to let me know if they have trouble but none of them do, they have all just figured out how to upload and navigate the system on their own. I also like that you can organize the files into subfolders. You couldn't do that in my last system & this males for a better workflow for me. Cons I wish there was a way to write back to the customer on a particular item. That was a feature my last system had that I really miss. The app isn't amazing yet.
