It is simple, intuitive and clever, also there's so much personalization, so you can adjust the system to be your own. Pros I love that this PLM literally designed to be convenient for the apparel production. Everything is so logical and makes sense. I am getting my TPs done three times faster now after we switched to Centric. The system is very intuitive and simple as well, so it is easy to learn. Cons As with any PLM system there are proc and cons, so far I just wish there was an opportunity to search in general by typing key words in the search line without applying filters, sometimes it is more convenient and faster. The program is easy to learn. I also like that it's always live, and you don't have to save it whenever you make changes. Pros I like that as a new user, it's very easy to navigate. I'm only watching some tutorials, but so far, I'm able to use it right away as we're switching from another program. Cons I'm a new Centric user. If this feature already exists, please disregard this comment. There are times when I want to collapse a column (in creating BOM) because I don't need it at the moment, but I don't have the option to. Pros Love that the UX is same page to page. Data is easy to find/store/connect in different places. Easy to replicate or make versions of a style or material. Cons Bit of a learning curve for new people onboarding, a lot of leg work to get the initial set up completed. Tech pack PDF image quality isn't great. We are still working on uploading all of the tech packs from the old PLM system to Centric. I wish we would of had help with that instead of manually doing it on top of my everyday job. Pros It is fairly easy to navigate and learn how to use. I like the reporting featuring and different views I can make. Cons Mainly for me as a designer my least favorite is the BOM and scrolling to the bottom see make updates. There is a learning curve, and some workflows could be more streamlined, but once established, the system offers strong capabilities and flexibility. Pros The system is highly customizable, and the Centric support team is responsive and helpful when questions or issues arise. My areas that I navigate through in the system are quick and easy to set up and maintain. Cons screens, and steps to navigate, which can make simple tasks feel more complicated and time-consuming than necessary. Because the system is so customizable, it also takes significant setup, ongoing maintenance, and training to ensure everyone uses it consistently. The user interface is quite complicated to understand, but it is easy to learn how to use. It is reliable to use, but can work very slowly at very important times. Pros Centric is a comprehensive software that provides an in-depth and thorough overview to its users of it's entire work process. There is no substitution or replacement for this software, and it is dependable for all parts of the process. It is highly customisable so it can be used by any type of user from any department. Cons Centric can be very difficult to learn how to use, and without any manual, finding out information is tricky. There isn't many indications on the screen that a standard user can notice and understand, which can lead to confusion and less productivity. Trying to find specific areas is difficult because of this, and so there is untapped potential for what Centric can do for its users. Very understanding and knowledgable. When you do need things updated i will the process was faster and didnt take as much time. Pros I like that you can view all your product with costing and margins in one place. The building of the boms and shapes is veruy beneficially for housing historical data and making blocks. Cons I dont like that once you go live anything you need unlocked or editable cost extra. Alot of times you dont realize your missing something until you use it on a day to day basis. It needed to update in real time and pull dates as they were happening. The closest we could get to that was to run various reports. But, it wasn't exactly what we needed it to do. Pros This software was OK, but not the best out there. It was easy enough to learn and to train junior team members to use. I especially liked to sales reps and found them to be very quick to respond and helpful when it came to questions and ways to use the system more efficiently. Cons It does the job, but is a little clunky. It seems slightly outdated. It also takes an extremely long time to PFD a tech pack. It is nice to have one spot where all of our team can work out of to create product. Pros We like what we've been able to build the program in to. Their support is also good. Cons The program is pretty spendy. As customizations are added, the cost to maintain goes up. Really inclusive to all types of products. Cons Can be tough to learn, there are so many places to get lost in the system. Places that need customized can be tough to get linked to all other fields needed if not realized up front.
