### "Cloud-based Surpass favours working from home."

Both librarians and patrons access the resources online, we are able to work from anywhere any time. This increases prodictivity

Pros

I serve a community which is scattered across the country. Cloud-based has been handy in providing services to these stakeholders. The patrons have access to the Library's OPAC and digital resources from anywhere, twenty-four-seven. Cataloguing with Surpass is as simple as abc. To add a new book to stock, we simply punch in the book's ISBN. Bibliographic information is automatically imported from relevant external database servers. Not only is the searching interface beautiful but also interesting and effective. The search results display an impression of the book along side the essential details describing intellectual content of the books. Also, latest books appear on top of the search results. We have relied on the power of Surpass to identify all the patrons. A record of each patron reveals the patron's photo, resources borrowed, holds and fines. All these information on one window makes the whole work of circulation much easier

Cons

Although patrons can renew physical books in the comfort of their homes, they still visit the library physically to return or borrow a physical resource. This defeats the concept of self service.

We're glad you're having good results with Surpass Cloud and finding it easy to catalog your collection. Did you know that you often don't have to type the ISBN to add a book? Many books have EAN barcodes printed on the back cover. Just scan this barcode and the ISBN will be entered for you!

Support has always treated me well. \[SENSITIVE CONTENT\] and the tech department are easy to talk with, and they have implemented suggestions I have made the same day. For example, I asked for the ability to print receipts when students pay a fine. This was implemented by D\[SENSITIVE CONTENT\]the same day. This ability to make suggestions, and have the suggestions implemented, is one of the best features of Surpass Cloud.

Pros

The software is easy for me to use, and easy for my assistants to use. \[SENSITIVE CONTENT\] are always happy to help me when I email or call.

Cons

There is nothing about Cloud I do not like!

I feel there could be more options to delete patrons in bulk.

Training was easy conducted by a knowledgeable team. In addition, support there are lots of resources on YouTube with step-by-step short tutorials. Very helpful. Technicians are available online and you have a response in matter of minutes. They make it easy for you. I highly recommend Software!

Pros

program itself is very good, modern, complex and easy to use. Covers all areas of a school library, easy to access, to use and self-explanatory. Truely I cannot say enough good things about Surpass program. Also Surpass software comes with a price tag that small private schools can afford.

Cons

I really cannot think of anything negative about it.

### "Surpass saved my life"

We have been used for over 20 years. Surpass always give us a strong customer service. While we lost our server, Surpass stored all of our library data. Surpass saved my life! Now we chose to use Surpass Cloud, no doubt at all.

My overall experience has been positive. Our small school library has been using for several years, since we first automated. We were unfamiliar with library automation and were given a lot of support when we transitioned.

Pros

I appreciate the customer service and tech support. Whenever I run into trouble or am unfamiliar with a feature, I know that I can get a fast response from the company either by phone or via email with a real person. They are professional and always follow up to make sure the issue is resolved. I am also pleased with the transition to Cloud.

Cons

I am hoping to see more flexibility and features with the homepage of the OPAC in future developments, including improved search options.

Highly recommend for a small congregational library like ours.

Pros

Customer Service very helpful initially to catalog our library of 2000 books. After closing for 2 years, computer was dead and I thought I lost my entire library! With the help of \[SENSITIVE CONTENT\] in CS we are open and back on track! Everything was backed up. Highly recommend paying the yearly fee.

Cons

So many features! Can be difficult to learn initially.

We use this for our kids library inventory/check out and it's a pretty basic need met by the software.

Pros

We are a church who uses this for our Children's Ministry library. Since Covid, are activity has been changed, and we are preparing to roll out library cards and advertise to the church families. I was experiencing technical difficulties and called, and \[SENSITIVE CONTENT\] was terrific to work with, explaining as necessary in a way that was perfect for my non-technical mind. Just terrific customer service, and awareness of keeping it the right level with someone not adept at speaking in technical terms. It was an easy fix for him, but left me feeling confident it was fixed and I will easily call again if other things arise.

Cons

Honestly - we haven't used it very often so, so I'm not aware of any reason I would rank "least" desirable. It works, it's easy, and if there's an issue there are knowledgeable people to help.

I am a newbie to online library systems. software makes it very easy to use. The navigation is user friendly. Surpass Support is always ready to help when you call or email.

One minor thing. I think they could program scanning the barcode from the Resource View menu instead of having to type the title in manually.

has a cadre of professional who ensure you have the products and services you need along with support when you need it.

Pros

is an incredible software that is easy to use. The setup makes the organization and tracking of materials very easy to do. In addition, the customer service is amazing. When you have an issue, they do not give up until there is a solution you are satisfied with.

Cons

If you do not have the cloud package, set-up can be challenging, but it was worth the wait and again, the customer support team works with you every step of the way.

The support is fantastic. We just upgraded to the Cloud version and of course have many questions. If I contact by phone, text, or email they are always helpful.

Cons

The learning curve is a little difficult, but their support team is always available. So I don't consider that is a downside.

Very helpful.

Pros

I asked \[SENSITIVE CONTENT HIDDEN\] if he could produce a report listing all those call numbers which I had miscatalogued. After I explained to him what I had done, he immediately drew upon his knowledge of the software to suggest various approaches and we achieved my desired goal.

Cons

Not too much yet. I don't know what else to write because I keep coming back to this box when I hit submit.

Organization and connections. Ease of use

Pros

Access to all that is needed for the many needs in the library. I love that it has access to Marc records for the bigger libraries. I do not use this software first hand as I am the IT that installs and keeps it up to date but I do feel that it has many options for staff and students.

Cons

The need for support to work through problems. However the support is amazing so this really isn't a problem.

I LOVE having Library Sidekick for use with the students that I am teaching how to use the catalog. They can do so much with a little explanation. I like Library Trek as well, but do not have as much application for this app since the students do not get to use their iphones and ipods in class time.

Pros

The software is updated frequently, and instructions are sent to people using it to keep them "in the know."

Cons

No CONS that register with me. There is nothing I can register here.
