Pros i like the oem data that allows me to track milage and its information on comapny factory direct repair and it's fast direct repair information Cons It is Pricey especially in smaller repair shops and the customer support is not reloiable a lot so that will present another issue . If there is anyway I lack in working on vehicles, diagnostics is it. It truly helped me and broke it down to help better understand. Cons There is nothing I disliked about AllData. It has a very wide variety of vehicles, domestic and international. It is an essential tool for any serious mechanic. Despite the high price, the level of detail and reliable technical data makes every repair much faster and more professional. Pros I really like the massive database of accurate wiring diagrams and OEM repair procedures. It provides exactly what you need for complex diagnostics, saving a lot of time under the hood. Cons The search interface can feel a bit old and clunky. Sometimes it takes too many clicks to find a specific part location, and the subscription cost is quite high for smaller shops. Pros Digital video inspection, was probably the only good part I enjoyed about ALLDATA, the shop manager program wasn’t very good, the price for everything they have is extremely overpriced. 400 plus dollars a month for basic features isn’t very good for a brand new shop . Cons Prices were way higher than any other shop manager program we found after researching more into the software for the auto industry. Spoke with an account manager and was told that I would have 30 days as a paid trial to make sure it would work for me. Nope, I signed up in Jan 2025 and ended being really slow and talked to my account manager about having to hold off until Spring or Summer when business would pick back up. He told me he never offered 30 days to cancel before being locked into a 1 year contract. He shows no compasion, when I'm struggling to pay the invoice his solution is to renew my contract for another year in exchange to helping me get out of my current. This isn't a great company and I would suggest going with a different company that isn't a grab all. Pros Great for finding issues and being able to trace the issue to fix it via diagrams or previous technicians that said what they did to fix their issue. Cons Billing and the account management. Owner Automotive ### "Most Unethical Company I have worked with" 1.0 Overall Rating 1.0 1.0 Ease of Use 1.0 1.0 Features 1.0 1.0 Customer Service 1.0 1.0 Likelihood to Recommend 0/10 May 29, 2025 This company scams you out of your money, they promise the world and say that it automatically scrapes your estimate to increase your ticket size giving average increases on how the service will pay for its self. After I signed up they gave zero support and when I asked how to scrub my estimate to make sure we were missing anything from the OEM standards they their software didn't do that and I would have to manually decide if our estimate needed clips or not after reading the entire OEM process. I would never suggest this company to anyone. When I called them to cancel the subscription they refused to cancel my account and said theres nothing they will do and I have to pay for a full 12 months even though they gave me false promises. Pros I don't have one think I can say that is good about this company, they give false promises and have horrible customer service. Cons They promise that their software automatically integrates with CCC and says that it scrubs your estimates and automatically gives suggestions on how to increase your ticket value based on their "estimated increase from other customers". This is a complete lie and now they wont cancel my subscription and says that I locked in for 12 months....... General guides for each issue are invaluable. Pros The depth of knowledge and information is unparalleled . Very helpful to see repair by mileage and reported fixes. Cons Sometimes some of the paths you follow lead you further from the answers you’re looking for. If someone bad adds data it hurts more than helps.
