June 3, 2026 4.0 Personally i think alldata has the right program, but i do believe that's some business tactics are gonna have to be learned on their part. Like I said, I have absolutely no issues with the program itself.It's great, awesome product highly supported.Just can't deal with the business tactics that they use. \[sensitive content hidden\] 1 has a similar product we will use. I hear their contracts don't change after signing them. Pros Alldata itself is very useful, in the week I had it, it was awesome. I liked the wire diagrams the most. Cons Ultimately i had to part ways with alldata due to a discrepancy with my contract with them. I am the fleet maintenance supervisor for an EMS agency. We signed a contract with alldata for a year to be paid at a set amount monthly on a friday and was charged that amount on that day. On monday we get another charge for a different amount. When i call to ask my alldata rep why the second charge, he proceeded to tell me since the EMS agency is a government entity that we have to change our (already signed) contract to be paid yearly. Although this is a private EMS service, not a government entity. In my opinion that is bad business, and we will not be using alldata any longer. It is riddled with incorrect TPIs, missing details, and completely inaccurate information. On top of that, their promised 1–2 hour response time for information requests routinely takes incredibly long, causing massive delays to my daily work. However, the most shocking part is their billing practices. When I requested to cancel my subscription because the software does not perform as advertised, they refused. I took matters into my own hands and cancelled the Direct Debit through my bank. In response, this company used my financial details to set up a brand-new, unauthorized Direct Debit under a completely different name ("Chase") without my signature or consent to bypass the cancellation. This is a severe breach of UK financial regulations. I have reclaimed the stolen funds via the Direct Debit Guarantee and reported this unauthorized mandate. Avoid this company at all costs—they will manipulate your banking details if you try to leave. Pros Nothing to like as this was sold with empty promises. Labor guides are great and repair procedures are accurate for most vehicles. The forum side of it also helps from time to time Pros All data is easy to use and a must have for any professional. Cons All data wiring diagrams are not the best. They have gotten better but certain makes it hard to follow them as the oem diagrams are the same way. It provided highly detailed and accurate OEM repair information that improved diagnostic confidence and repair quality. While it was a powerful tool for technicians, the cost and somewhat dated interface were minor drawbacks compared to the value it delivered in day-to-day automotive repair work. Owner Automotive Used the software for: Less than 6 months ### "Most Unethical Company I have worked with" May 29, 2025 1.0 This company scams you out of your money, they promise the world and say that it automatically scrapes your estimate to increase your ticket size giving average increases on how the service will pay for its self. After I signed up they gave zero support and when I asked how to scrub my estimate to make sure we were missing anything from the OEM standards they their software didn't do that and I would have to manually decide if our estimate needed clips or not after reading the entire OEM process. I would never suggest this company to anyone. When I called them to cancel the subscription they refused to cancel my account and said theres nothing they will do and I have to pay for a full 12 months even though they gave me false promises. Pros I don't have one think I can say that is good about this company, they give false promises and have horrible customer service. Cons They promise that their software automatically integrates with CCC and says that it scrubs your estimates and automatically gives suggestions on how to increase your ticket value based on their "estimated increase from other customers". This is a complete lie and now they wont cancel my subscription and says that I locked in for 12 months....... Pros Digital video inspection, was probably the only good part I enjoyed about ALLDATA, the shop manager program wasn’t very good, the price for everything they have is extremely overpriced. 400 plus dollars a month for basic features isn’t very good for a brand new shop . Cons Prices were way higher than any other shop manager program we found after researching more into the software for the auto industry. Its a quick trouble shooting guide for intermittent issues whereas the technians that are paid flat rate do not get paid to diagnose warranty issues so they dont want to have to spend alot of time trying to verify an intermittent issue. Utilizing all data makes this experience much more quicker.It has access to all TSBs that may apply to the vehicle which is very helpful if there is a known problem but may be in fewer vehicles therefore there isnt a recall so the Technical Service Bulletins help Technicians. Pros I love that it is a quick reliable tool to assist in diagnosing and repairing a vehicle in a timely manner. We used to have different programs for invoices, to look up info, now with AllData its easy, all in one program, saves, stores and keeps all of the information I need about customers, parts, orders, everything. So easy to use Cons The only con is the price, it is a bit expensive, but it does make things so much easier. Reason for choosing ALLDATA It is more practical, helpful and useful. We almost always base ourselves off of the time indicated and use it to review the procedures. We also base our maintenance recommendations on the service tables in Alldata Repair. Our technicians also use this system a lot. Overall the Alldata Repair system is very functional and we will continue to use it. Cons We no longer use Alldata Manage at our shop. Although it was not a bad system, we felt at times it was too slow with little room for improvement. Often times the whole site would be down and we were unable to create estimates or process invoices, tasks that are necessary here. Pros It was very easy to implement and their customer support team is incredibly helpful. Cons It is frustrating that the desktop version only goes to year 2013 vehicles. It is very inconvenient. I find it to be sufficient for what we need to do but at times it is found that labor times used will end up costing us labor hours due to the lower than normal posted times in the labor guide. However, the how to's and diagnosis help is great. Pros Ease of use, lay out and search options. Very easy to look up even complicated labor times and procedures. Cons Inconsistent labor times. We sometimes use a different labor guide because we find the labor times listed sometimes reflect only the warranty time and not the cash rate which is frustrating because some jobs can have a variance of 4-5 hours between alldata and the labor guides we have available to us. This is the case with most model year vehicles that have no been out for a minimum of 3+ years (i.e 2018 model vehicles have little to no labor ref right now on the platform) Review Source JG Jay G.
