I use GoodSync to facilitate server consolidation, offsite backup, etc. It's ability to "sync" to many different platforms, makes it a solid tool for your specific needs. Small memory footprint means it runs well on older machines. With the help of GoodSync it is more than easy to keep record, keeping documents safe and having timeless acess when I need my files. Pros The freedom to back up my things and access them at any time I wish to access them. I do not worry about loosing my files any more. Cons Since I'm using GoodSync for free, I receive limited benefits. I decided to test it out, so I had a way to backup my removable photography hard drives to a larger desktop storage drive. Pros I like the ability to backup specific folders and have it know what changed, so my backup matches the folders on my computer. Cons I ran into some issues with the software freezing, but it may have been do to a network drive that had a poor transfer rate. January 20, 2018 4.0 Pros I appreciated that they had different sync options. It was easy to customize the different times and types of files to sync between hard drives. IT Director Hospital & Health Care Used the software for: Less than 6 months ### "Well Designed Product, Many Options" November 20, 2018 4.0 Effectively migrated data from several remote systems into a single storage repository with relative ease, and provided an automated method of cloud backup for that repository. Would definitely recommend this product to others. Pros Many, many options, easy to install and configure, low footprint, very fast processing. Cons Documentation (in-product) could be better, some options lack much explanation. While it supports Amazon S3, it does NOT support the long term "S3 Glacier" storage options and some of the other S3 storage systems that are available via Amazon. It CAN be done, but has to be backed up to S3 and then migrated via the Amazon console, unlike some competing products. (however the features set is so robust on GoodSync that it's worth the extra steps to use GoodSync). Review Source IE Iain E. Pros Good sync supports a wide range of sync platforms including Win/Linux/IOS and Android but also Cloud storage and options for NAS systems such as Synology. The developer has helpfully provided a 'How to sync' guide for the various platforms on their website. Also, two computers may be linked directly over a LAN for Peer to Peer networking via Good Sync Direct. Cons Creating a new job is simple enough, but when wanting to fine tune the process, the number of options for each job can be a bit overbearing.
