Though building the app has been a little difficult, mostly repeating the same request, that can be frustrating. However if you are a founder and you are struggling with development and engineers, just go straight to replit, it changes the conversation. Pros The Customer Support response is the fastest i have seen yet, quick and detailed response. Ready to help and sends a reminder, if the problem has been fixed. The enviroment is easy to use, and easy to learn. Cons The Agent can be confused especially if your request is vaguely worded. you have to be very detailed, however it is an idea you are developing, so as the creator you also really don't have a full picture. but at least you know what you don't want. September 3, 2025 4.0 Overall, I've had success with replit, I am about to launch my first 2 web apps. and the process is a net positive Pros I really like that you can just get started. The new Bounty feature seems interesting also and has prompted me to brush up on my coding skills so that I can participate. Cons The agent can be hit or miss. sometimes it does great work but when I need to get to the finer details before launching it can easily make some bad errors. whenever I've been developing a couple websites it has a weird storage issue where it will use 2 different storages and make api changes to the temporary one and not the storage that I would use for my deployment. Also the authorization, I'd prefer the ability to have a direct secure login instead of redirecting the users to replit. I feel like that feature would cause confusion for people trying to get into a website and having to make an account on a different website. Review Source JA Jad A. The Replit team is always listening for feedback and addressing any issues raised on socials. Great team and company building in an important space. Pros Easy to use platform and agent where you can do so much, especially for someone non-technical. Most importantly, it's fun to use. Bounties was a great and underrated feature, I hope it thrives under Contra. High shipping velocity and consistent product improvements isn't an easy thing to do, but Replit has a solid track record here. Cons Nothing specific. There were a couple of times after agent updates where performance would slow down, but they'd be resolved quickly. Through building on replit I have learnt way more about the software development cycle and I am empowered to build things for myself. Pros It abstracts away the annoying parts of software development and it is easy for beginners to use. It is easy to get from idea to working prototype fast. Cons I am not always sure how the credits/usage based pricing works so I am not always able to plan my usage ahead. Maybe this is something I have to learn. I’m finding Replit AI unreliable for multi-file refactors and dependency changes, where it tends to modify unintended files, break builds, and loop through expensive fix attempts. Pros AI agent for no IT background individuals, not much more to day here. Cons I’m finding Replit AI unreliable for day-to-day development. Error corrections often trigger new, unrelated defects across the codebase; the agent consumes substantial compute while attempting fixes; and the lack of guardrails (diff confirmation, scoped edits, one-click rollback) makes recovery slow and costly. I currently have 6 apps I am working on, and I am 100% sure that at least one of them will be a million dollar idea. Pros I like that it really is as easy as they say: tell it what you want to do, and it will do it for you. I gave it a relatively simple instruction along the lines of "examine my website, and then those of my 2 biggest rivals. Redesign my website, taking the best from all three, and make sure that I have all the sections that the others have too" Before I knew it, I was tinkering with a whole new website, and it was really easy Cons I don't like that the app makes mistakes that cost money. each "run" is charged, but often I found that I was "running" many times, in order to fix one error. One of the apps I built is fully functional and deployed as a SaaS solution. It works well and so far handles user scenarios very well. Pros Replit is a great way to build software, at least for an MVP or prototype. It is easy to use for someone who does not code, and even the paid version is great value for money. Cons In some cases the AI coding agent does not work as intended and seems to struggle fixing its own errors. This may result in some frustration. Taking time to consider your overall product upfront, the architecture, components and modules, and associated database design, pay dividends down the line. Pros Candidly, the service is AI magic. The prompt agent, when used properly, delivers amazing results allowing you to quickly prototype solutions in hours and days, rather than months and quarters. I've also used customer services a couple of times, and they've been fair to good. In terms of value for money, $25 should get you a meaningful outcome - which is hard to beat anywhere else. Something that was unthinkable before I started with Replit Pros Replit has allowed me to create what had been in my mind for my business, but couldn’t previously due to cost of programming. It’s created a whole new part of my business. Cons It’s still requires constant concentration to create what I want, but that is only a small negative. Pros The ability to have discussions, availability for market trends, research, and data. Ability to discuss ideas, features and quickly implement them. Cons Agent makes unnecessary updates - especially the ones that are not related to what you are working on. Surprise commits, unexpected checkpoints. I use it all the time as a core part of my stack Pros Really fast and easy to use. It is easy to get started and you can import code from github or other templates. Easy to connect to cursor, and easy to publish apps fast Cons The agent by default on page now is kind of annoying, also the cost of the agent adds up. Sometimes it’s not great, but the overall concept is really superb. Pros Ability to play around with ideas without wasting money on a developer. Developers are always like plumbers.. a sharp intake of breath and you know it’s going to cost/hurt, but with Replit I can create from my own ideas and train of thought which give a really natural way to develop a concept from seed to fruit. I like it a lot (can't say that enough), but I do find that at time I feel I am paying for the agent to fix small things we have already completed, or to help the agent come to solutions I think it should know how to fix easier. Pros Initial idea to working concept is phenomenally quick. Often the agent can take a simple idea and extend it into areas that I never thought of, quickly and easily. Cons Occasionally, the agent has difficulty in solving certain tasks, but usually these are more complex. I have had the agent make presumptive choices and "undo" elements we have specifically put in place because it thinks this is the best approach. Thankfully you can rollback and retry with more specifically worded prompts. It is good in coding and you can build an MVP very fast with minimal input. Pros Everything is integrated and running in the cloud. Quite clean UI. Automatic Github synchronization and easy deployment once the tool is ready. Cons What I don't like is that for the assistant, it is very hard to track what changes it will make. You get the old and new code, but it would be easier to just show 1 code and then with green/red what is added/removed. Very often for the assistant/agent, a problem does not really get solved, or it misunderstands what we are actually expecting. Cons Understanding how some of the pricing adds up from usage. It is unclear to me if the model is doing anything under the hood that increases this price due to failure in its actions or if there are unintentional actions that can cause the price to grow more rapidly. I have to continually tell it over and over to make things data-driven (determined by the database) instead of hard-coding the case immediately at hand. Also, it's context is not big enough to remember what I told it yesterday. Pros That it handles the full stack, i.e. I don't need to handle DevOps, or DBA, and it can integrate with a paywall. You don’t need to spend time installing software, setting up dependencies, or worrying about local configurations. Everything runs in the browser, so you can jump straight into building and testing. Pros The agent is very useful at first, and the assistant continues to be useful as the project gets more complex. It's also nice that replit helps with deploying and also giving you a public URL while you are developing. I believe the Ai disobeys commands and re-inserts errors to make you have to rebuild the app over and over again and pay more monies to Replit. I never thought of that business model. Pros Easy of use. The frustration out weighs the ease of use. Easy to get the Ai to ruin what you build. Check it out. Cons Does not listen. You tell it to not make any changes without your consent, it agrees, then does changes without your consent. Then it will apologize for not obeying your command. Meantime you have to spend days fixing errors that were already fixed days ago because the Ai does what it wants.
