There is a learning curve if you do not have a deep dev background but it is manageable and the rollback feature is handy. My one request would be that the Replit team figures out a way to charge less for usage when the agent repeatedly cannot find a solution though states that they have solved for the problem Pros Rapid prototyping is unbelievable on replit, the design elements, UI, and recommendations provide a good first look into any app possibility. Cons Once you get deeper into an app you need to be cautious in a shift in priorities from the AI agent. August 9, 2025 4.0 I think overall it has been a good start to getting the framework together, but I'll eventually need to transfer to another service to put the actual tools to commercial use. Pros Replit is very good at creating an entry level application that can get you started on the right path. Cons My service needs to be online all the day, and the service goes offline, disrupting the service. Its been tough keeping my tool working and Replit usually says it has fixed the problem. Love that they are frequently updating the product nad rolling out new features. Cons The ambiguity around the charges being based on usage checkpoints has been a little bit confusing and more challenging to predict, although it is a fair method when aligned with the complexity of the agent asks. It makes projects run so much faster. I have shied away from taking some projects in recent years, due to the amount of time and individual effort required of me. Since using Replit, I have started seeking out more projects, because it accelerates the process and has been able to analyze and fix errors that used to take me weeks. Pros I'm not a coder, but I have been able to build websites, apps and more using Replit. It is also pretty fast to iterate through to final product. A company I work with got hacked and lost their website. I was able to get a fully functional website up and running in a few hours of work. Cons Not really a dislike, but something to be aware of. I think this is common with vibe coding platforms, but I do have to check the work and ensure that the output is correct, or that the changes are reflected. It doesn't hallucinate per se, but it doesn't always recognize if it actually achieved the desired result. It can create from prompts but you need to define the promts properly and read around coding best practices to get the right outcome. Pros Good value for money and and get you to a working prototype very quikcly. However building a functional 100% solution will need some external support and specialist prompt writing. Cons Somties it feels very much like two steps forward and one back. Just like anything it does need time to craft the right outcome. I don't have any technical background in coding so it help a lot with helping me design a base mock up for a marketplace and landing pages. Pros The ability to just talk to it and create a product. I like the fact that is now give you a preview before committing to building the product build. Also the fact that you can use it to brainstorm and ask questions while not amending the build. Cons the major con for me is that the fact is that is says it's made the change but the issue has not been fixed. Owner Entertainment Used the software for: Less than 6 months ### "Replit - the true Good and Bad " August 29, 2025 3.0 6.5/10 Replit is great at producing a demo for an app idea which in this context is very good value for money - working demos will cost easily £100 plus which is excellent value for money Pros It can be brilliant - does exactly what you say and even adds things that makes it better than you asked for Cons Sadly - when it gets it wrong it can become incredibly frustrating and fails to fix it - all the time it’s costing you credits. And it is getting better and better every day. I hope that it can help me build and maintain a very complicated software without worrying about scalability. Pros Very easy to start prototyping. Able to deploy to a custom domain easily. Easy to use AI agent while maintaining the flexibility to change code. Cons Unable to customize system rules. When the code becomes complicated, the agent would lose context. When there are bugs, it usually jumps too fast into fixing (the wrong thing) without identifying the root cause. Pros It is very easy to get started. With patience, incremental update is possible. The final software developed can look as professional as it can be--all within one "developer" who would have taken years to learn to code manually before the AI era. Cons AI is still not quite mature. I wish there could be a choice of various pricing options for calling out to different third-party coding agents, so the overall cost of the project may be managed. Pros Very easy to use, with simple functionality and established courses and community resources to help you get started. It also delivers what it promises: a way to make and edit fully usable Web apps with AI prompts. Cons It still has some ways to go in allowing users to create and manipulate UI elements. I would like better integrations with tools like Figma and Miro, or at least an internal module for UI edits, since the resulting apps are good but could be better in terms of design. It's an impressive experience on an immersive integration with LLMs. Cons Can get costly. It's a bit frustrating using it under a "taximeter". When you're always "on the clock" sometimes it shies away creativity. Pros It’s astonishing to see so many tools come to like before your eyes; websites, Apps, and assessment tools - it’s like having a very VERY bright tech assistant! Cons The number of times you need to repeat the occasional command can be a tiny bit frustrating- but I think that’s just a reflection of how high your expectations become based on what it does achieve - so quickly and so easily. Cons The new pricing model does deplete your monthly credits fast, so be ready to invest some of your money on the agents (on top of the monthly subscription).
