My overall experience with Helix has been a very positive one. Moving to or adopting new software is always hard, and they offer a lot of support to get their customers up and running.

Pros

The customer support offered by the Helix team is a highlight, and they don't rest on their laurels - they are open to suggestions and improvements and are always working to improve the system. The inventory system has saved us time and money and given us much more transparency on stock and products going in and out of our warehouse, and the point of sale payment integration is already saving us time. The Helix team also has training videos and a searchable process doc that aids in the training process, which was incredibly helpful to us in the first few months, and if all else fails, they are more than happy to help remotely and over the phone.

Cons

The quotation setup is a little clunky and is missing some features offered by competitors. I have suggested some improvements to this, some of which have already been implemented.

Very good, love the system to be honest

Pros

Easy program to navigate very versatile. Can do everything from a POS to stock control, invoicing etc..

Cons

Freezing at times but not a major as the support team is very quick to fix if it happens

Overall we have had a great working relationship over many decades. They are always interested in whats best for our business and we can always rely on the integrity and reliability of our POS system.

Pros

The ability to directly speak with the team that created Helix, and be able to make custom changes for our business. Also, the ability to recommend improvements to the system and the continued improvements they are always doing.

Cons

Sometimes the delay's in development can be frustrating.

Excellent overall experience. Quite a bit to set up but we received heaps of support and has reduced our need for extra staffing. Superb all round product with great reporting for both staff and admin.

Pros

I really like how we now have everything in one place, sampling, quotes, installation diary to invoicing. It is very user friendly, has great reporting in place. There are continuous upgrades being done and the guys do listen to upgrade requests.

Cons

The names of some items are not practical but you soon learn them so not a major issue.

overall Helis has been a great system to use for POS , inventory and reports. The windows based system is easy to navigate for sales staff and back office staff and provides a clear and accurate inventory control also. the support from Excellent software has been fantastic. We highly recommend Helix as a POS system.

Pros

We have used Retail plus (previous version of Helix) since opening our business in 2006. We upgraded to Helix 2 years ago and have found it a great system to use for our furniture retail business for sales process, stock inventory and accounting/back office reporting etc . The windows based system is easy to navigate and customise to your needs. The Team at excellent software provide fantastic back up and support.

Cons

Initially it was difficult to attach external documents to emails being sent from helix but this has now been fixed.

Reasons for choosing Helix

UPgrading to Helix provided a much easier to manage system with many more benefits than the previous retail plus system. We have had a great relationship with Excellent software over the past 18 years and they have always provided a great product and great service .

Excellent overall experience and the team at Helix were really helpful and are easy to get a hold of with any questions.

Pros

The Reporting System is amazing and helps with the management side as well as giving sales team members up to date info. They are also continuously updating the system based on feedback from customers.

Cons

Learning how to do imports was hard and needs to be correct to get the uploads working but this does make sense.

Over all it has been a great experience to find a POS system that is easy for staff to use, yet gives admins and reporters the depth you need to make a detailed analysis on the business.

Pros

Easy to learn all of the basics but has lots of depth when you need it.

Cons

We run remote server currently so sometimes it can be a bit slow on our end, but only because we don't have a dedicated server.
