I love making colorful charts and timelines. It's so easy and fun to use ! The hand drawn effect works very well with my brand image. Pros It's one-time paiement and is worth it. You can easily drag and drop icons. You can lock arrows and lines to objects so when you move the object, the arrow will move too. It's very good to create timelines, diagrams... I love the hand drawn effect : when activated, you can drag and drop the same icon, it will slightly differ. The icons can be colored, you can add fonts... I love the charts I'm doing with SketchWow. The customer support is very quick to answer. Cons Never enough icons ! I have the pro account, so there are more icons and they recently added more, but still. It lacks of an auto save feature. It would be nice to be able to use more than one color for some icons. Pros It is easy to use and produces unique visual descriptions. It is not the boxy graphics that a person tries to create in MicroSoft PowerPoint. Cons Nothing. The key to success with SketchWow is to know what you want to get accross to the viewer. Then you can have fun turning that idea into a creative visual. The software is clunky and has an awful user experience. You can’t open more than 1 window so good luck trying to copy stuff from one file to another! The templates are so limited and barely have anything canva doesn’t and they are so cluttered and awful. Basically unusable for any of my word. In fact after years I still get free upgrades when available. I integrity in the software business!! Pros Made building complicated infographics easy (something I would have been able to do otherwise). It was easy to learn and a major time saver. Cons Not really much to not like about it. My brands are colorful and fun, so SketchWow is a great alternative to PowerPoint. I had some questions, and they responded promptly. Cons I expected to have a little more flexibility with animation. I've downloaded one gif, and it doesn't act outside of SketchWow like it did in the software. I was hoping to find an active user group on Facebook, but the only one I found doesn't have much going on. It would be nice if they created an official user group and participated. I love it and I know I will be doing many videos and lessons using SketchWow. Pros I use SketchWow in the classroom. I can take pictures of PDFs and use the Zoom function as I teach. It is awesome. Also, I do a lot of YouTube videos for my AP students. I just did my first one using SketchWow and I love it. It helps you make smooth presentations, once again using the Zoom function. Cons I think the laser can be improved. It would be great if you can select the laser and have it stay active like you do in Notability. Totally usable, I opted to upgrade to PRO and completely worth it. Will likely use it for at least my own company. It fits us really well and I can create VERY quickly, and less overwhelming than Canva or others. Pros First, Ease of use. I have been creating training material and content for over 20 years. This is hands-down the fastest workflow of any design software I have used for infographics and diagrams. I am shifting all of my IPs to this form of branding just so I can use the software for them all. Cons One: the sketch vibe is great, and usable, but FEELS like a barrier if your client is corporate modern and you need to change all the assets. So, other templates for different styles would be nice. Two: Cloud saves for your projects. I have NO idea where my files are after moving and changing computers. Pros I just love firing up the application when I get stuck in my own head trying to use conventional presentation software to explain a concept or idea and putting myself to sleep in the process ! The ability to browse through so many templates for inspiration really gets the creative juices flowing. After about 2 months using the software, I bought all of the add-ons. Cons I suppose sometimes when I look at the templates, I get a tiny bit frustrated when I can't see how some of the graphics were created or where to find similar imagery to fit in with the style of a particular template. I am using Gamma AI for presentation and honestly I am blown away with the simplicity to action the whole project with a prompt. February 11, 2025 4.0 I probably don't use it often enough (maybe every 3-6 months) but when I do have a concept that I'm finding hard to get across in say a powerpoint presentation and I DO remember that I have SketchWow - it doesn't take too long to remember how to use it and come up with a really useful concept. Imagine how good I could be if I used it more often - LOL. Pros SketchWow is an awesome tool. Its pretty simple to use (even for a non-tech head like me). I love the drag and drop and animation features. The templates are really useful as well to get started. Cons For me it is a bit of a pain that my designs aren't stored in the SketchWow app and that I have to download them (maybe I missed something but I've never worked out how to save them to reaccess them easily). I came across them through an ad, and was very curious to see how I can integrate it into my tech stack. As I used it, I got to see many new ways I can incorporate it into my client work, and it's done an amazing job at helping me illustrate and communicate my ideas creatively. I've appreciated the team's ongoing support and education, which has helped me get the most out of the product. Pros The ease of use, regular upgrades and improvements, feature add-ons, and the customer service they provide.It's a feature rich app with many applications. Cons As with most software, there is a slight learning curve as you're getting familiar with the features and functions. However, with a little practice, it's very easy to get the hang of it and start using it proficiently.
