Overall, A well-written and interesting book, Mteja examines difficult social and political themes. It is understandable why this book is one of my favorites.

Pros

The characters have depth and are likable. Both \[sensitive content hidden\] and \[sensitive content hidden\] are complicated and compelling characters, and the reader is deeply invested in their fates.The book offers a window into the African drug trafficking industry. The intricate social and economic aspects that contribute to the issue are well-explained by \[sensitive content hidden\].

Cons

I found some of the books are distressing due to the depictions of violence and drug use.The book's conclusion is not entirely clear. The book's ending may not please since it raises too many more questions than it answers.
