We like it overall, but there is room for improvement for sure. Henceforth, I rated it at 80%. Pros \- Easy to install from DRMM - Interaction with RocketCyber - Lightweight - It seems to catch important threats - Ability to add suppression rules for false positives Cons \- It takes a while to get used to interface - Some parts of the interface are "broken". For example, can't expand columns to see read the whole content - The reports are no good and not precise (basically useless) - Kaseya One login usually doesn't work... I need to go to Datto Login - Login expires too soon - When you see the device under the organization the is a column called "Alerts", which show the number of alerts on that device. If you click on the device, you can't see the alerts though ! You need to go to alerts and filter from there. There should be a direct link ! Pros Datto EDR allows us to protect clients from known and emerging threats. The product dos not require extensive configuration. Pros We like how it notifies and automates detections so that way our technicians don't have to worry about getting to a device notification too late. Cons Some programs are automatically flagged but once we whitelist the program, it normalizes. Pros I like the ease of deployment and the reporting capabilities. Cons The fact that it took over a month from purchasing to deloyment because of Datto's deployment team's availability. Reason for choosing Datto EDR Cost and product features were the main reasons. Don't believe the sales spiel. Don't believe them when they say it's for MSPs. Don't believe them when they say they've fixed the issues. Just don't. Choose someone else. Anyone else. Real user here who appreciates the positives of Kaseya's products and advocated for the switch to EDR and has been burnt. Don't do it. Pros Came bundled with Kaseya 365. Deployment via Datto RMM. Cons Doesn't have crucial MSP features like policies for individual devices. Changes to policies don't sync through to endpoints. 15% of devices didn't activate Datto AV/EDR. Support recommended manually uninstalling and reinstalling on all devices. EDR doesn't turn off when sent and received instructions from management software. EDR ignores exceptions in policies. Alert-only policies still quarantined files automatically, even those explicitly excepted. EDR is suspected to be interfering with server operations without raising alerts. Can't turn it off to troubleshoot. One server has needed to be rebuilt to restore functionality EDR messed with, even after spending hours manually deleting EDR. Second server needs to be rebuilt. Cons The interface can have more management for client companies we oversee. The remediation process can be a little more user friendly when an anomaly is detected. I'm sure my opinion will change to a more positive one once the added features in Q4 are integrated. It is noisy at first but it has proven to show us many things that sophos didn't. We are happy that new features are coming Cons Not having separate policies for separate orgs is an issue but they are going to be releasing this ability in Q4!
