Pros

Firstbase allows us to have a more comprehensive and unified approach to device lifecycle management to maximize efficiency and collaboration. With its powerful API I can easily integrate with existing systems and tools to streamline device management processes with secure access. also equipping hybrid and remote workers with the right IT operations services to manage better employee experiences and support efficient operations.

Cons

Since I have learned about Firstbase I have not had any type of inconvenience

### "Complete Asset Lifecycle Manage Made Easy"

Pros

Firstbase has allowed us to easily scale our entire asset lifecycle management and significantly reduce operational overhead in how we managed it manually before. As we expand to new regions, Firstbase meets us there to ensure we have what we need to hit the ground running with IT operations.

Cons

Firstbase is a well-rounded platform with minimal cons and it will only continue to get better as it grows.

Reason for choosing Firstbase

Better cost model that allowed us to scale usage without ballooning costs.

### "Do not contract their services"

Overall, it almost feels as if I was scammed by them. The customer support takes weeks to get back to me, only to respond with context-less directives that won't solve my problems. Honestly, it is nerve-racking to have to deal with this myself and be put in a position of non-compliant actor against the IRS

Pros

Initially, it seemed to be a modern and easy-to-use platform. After a few months, I realized their vendors fail to provide solutions (some of them don't provide services at all) and you are not able to contract outside the platform.

Cons

I purchased the Mailroom service (it is mandatory) and they didn't provide services for a full year (I received a package January 6th 2023 and by January 2024 they said this service was discountinuated). Their neglicenge at providing me with a mailroom, put my comapnys compliance at risk and I'm still trying to figure out how to solve it -- if i cancel mysubscriptoin now I"ll probably make it worse. Additionally, I purchased their Agent Tax Filling for Wyoming and they failed to present it on time. They did not explain as to why this happened and granted me a full year of free service (why would I want a full year of a non-accountable low-performer vendor?)

Pros

Firstbase is very easy to use and implement. The team there is amazing to work with and has excellent customer service response.

Cons

I wish their API capabilities were more extensive.

### "Great IT logistics vendor to ease the pain of employee onboarding/offboarding"

The team at Firstbase has been great throughout our entire process from onboarding to daily-use. The product is still young but growing rapidly. They take feedback seriously and constantly add new features which are actually useful to us.

Pros

\- Ease of communication with customer support team and dedicated account manager - Flexible team who is constantly building new intergration and adding features. Since starting our contract we have see a new release of an HRIS connection and dashboard changes - Employees love the ease of use in the portal. It's easy for them to order equipment before their first day, and FB does a good job of asset retrieval (saving us heaps of time internally). - Connections with vendors across the world where your own ABM enrolled assets can be stored. This is a solid differentiator as competitors will want you to rent or purchase only through their portal.

Cons

\- The portal is a bit barebones. It functions perfectly for what you need but doesn’t provide any kind of audit logging or have great view filtering. Would love to see more detailed results of assets by type by location. It can get a little confusing. - Understandably, adding new geolocations to their reach can take a bit of time. We have found some workarounds and FB’s reach is wide, but some additional work may be required. If you need a vendor with deep roots in a specific area, make sure you have a clear understanding of the geos you’re shipping to/from.

### "Zero Touch Logistics Made Easy"

While there are a few additional features we'd love to see implemented with Firstbase, they've provided us an easy to use logistics platform that meets the bulk of our needs and are consistently available to support any issues or additional requests we may have.

Pros

As a remote first company, Firstbase allows us to easily deploy and retrieve hardware around the globe as well as storing inventory outside of the home office. This allows us to act quickly and onboard new hires as we grow without focusing on the manual logistics side of hardware deployment. I'm also very appreciative of the quick response we receive when we need to engage Firstbase support for issues we can't resolve on our own.

Cons

I would love the ability to granularly select individual assets for deployment rather than pulling from an available pool of inventory; there are occasionally instances where we would prefer a specific serial or condition shipped to someone and aren't able to specify these requests. Additionally, as we grow in new markets, Firstbase isn't always available yet - we occasionally have use cases where Firstbase simply isn't an option.

### "Convenient + Time Saver"

Pros

User onboarding - my team was able to select devices and peripherals before they started, and it all arrived on time. Eliminated the forms I used to fill out as a manager to indicate what device that often got delayed/missed in process. Support issues - when the screen broke on a team members laptop, they managed a loaner laptop When employees leave, they sent a custom box, labels, emails to make it easy for packing and dropping off

Cons

I had a minor support issue but a manager called me personally to understand the problem and we worked it out.

Pros

Single point of contact for all the GEO zones Firstbase supports. Solid customer support. Patient reps that follow up and follow through. Pretty fast in my experience as well. I've had a few acounts reps during the course of our relationship and each of them have been outstanding. No BS, take ownership of issues and follow up and get things done. Since we onboarded Firstbase 1.5 years ago, they have taken our feedback and made numerous feature improvments on the platform. They are always interested in customer feedback and focus development on what their customers are saying.

Cons

My organization is remote first, so we never touch our hardware. We rely on Firstbase to manage our inventory. It would be great if the Firstbase platform was a fully fledged ITAM platform that could integrate with our SaaS apps like Okta, Jamf, Jira, etc and remove some of the manual upkeep IT has to perform today to update inventory records internally.

Pros

Excellent user experience for admins and end users. It is simple to setup packages & order items for users to get them. They are working fast to get additional integrations setup and they are rolling our new features quickly.

Cons

The reporting feature could use improvement.
