The ability to customise characters is the reason I bought the software, so that I can create explanatory animated videos for the education sector in my role as a teacher. Pros The first thing is the one-off payment. You might think the developers no longer update it, but they’re known for listening to their customers, and even though it’s an older app, I hope they’ll listen to me. Cons Some bugs have not yet been resolved. I’ve noticed that text has issues rendering in video. It looks fine on screen, but the generated video either doesn’t appear or is cut off. Review Source wA wiliam A. owner Animation Used the software for: Less than 6 months ### "It may be a good program once all the bugs are fixed" October 9, 2023 1.0 I used the program for 14 days, and i couldn't render a single video, the render engine either got stuck, put out corrupted filed or the ones that completed were moving things around. i worked with the programmers but in the end i got a refund as the program just didn't work, couldn't be fixed within the 14 days of using it. I posted videos on yt to show all the issues i was having. The program might be nice if it actually worked but at 150, you could get createstudiopro which has a ton more features, more flexibility to control or edit your videos to your liking. Toons.ai lacks a lot of features that csp has which is why it is always my go to app, the fact that toons.ai is a cloud based software fails rendering, says to me it was pushed to market way too early due to all the bugs i seen Pros It seems like a nice program, it has a lot of characters, a character builder, even supposedly an image to animation program which I never seen implemented in the 14 days Cons Bugs, Bugs, Bugs. This program has many bugs needed to be sorted out, one for me was i couldn't render a single video in 14 days and i was only playing with templates. The render engine can be slow at times, not render or the output is a corrupted file. At first my initial thought was "what does toons program got to do with my business???". But then after watching the webinars, purchasing the program and actually starting to use the program, my attitude has changed completely!It's a very poweful tool yet very easy and intuative to work with. I discovered that we can use the tools in many ways also for "regular" videos or "hybrid" videos (toons + regular together)=we are not limited just for "toons". From getting new leads to emailing the invoice to a new customer. Its a business in a box, all there, ready and waiting for you to put it together and build it bigger. One of my favorite components is the on board AI Script Writer. When you're out of words just give A.I. a prompt or two and it's done for you in less than a minute. The best thing for me is that it's all there. If something doesn't seem right, just change it. The background for example can be a toon image, a real picture image, a toon moving action image, or any movie image you find in the onboard Library. It's really all there for your use without additional charge. Cons Upon first look, I didn't like the set up of the Timeline Editor. It can have say 5 lines stacked with media for the video and instead of the top one being the only being observed at that point on the timeline all 5 are presented at the same time. Maybe one is for the background, another for the avatar, one for the voice over, and another for a car driving by. All are on scene at the same time.
